Well I must TRULY be a rock dweller, because I didn't see this until three years after you posted it, lol! But I found it at the perfect time- when I'm too busy to have any real fun, but still need to feed that creative part of my body with the tiny bit of time I can squeeze out for myself. I made one of these this morning, and might even find a way to use them as thank you cards for a team of my volunteers. Thank you Natasa!!!
Thank you, Natasa, I make these for tip envelopes when I travel. I tuck $$, a little thank you tag, and a piece or two of candy or gum and leave it for the cabin steward, housekeeping, wait staff, or whoever. I also take them in my purse often an randomly give them to a clerk or receptionist. New decorating ideas from you!
How thoughtful of you!!! What a wonderful idea to bring unexpected joy to someone who had provided service to you! I am very sure they were touched by the blessing!💕
We made these in 3 rd grade when learning oragami in art class. It could be a pocket and/or a container to drink from if you drank really fast! Lol She taught us so many fun and interesting things. Mrs. Strong was my favorite teacher! That was almost 60 years ago!
Natasha, this is a great project... I made three different sizes and put one inside the other... they are only attached to each other on the front flap which makes for a triple pocket behind... I also didn't glue down the bottom front flap, so that it can open up and hide secret writings underneath... this is great fun!..
Well, apparently, I’ve been living under the same rock! I have never seen them before. They are just wonderful! Love how easy and they are so darn cute! Fun, fun, fun Natasha. Thank you for this little gem.
I made 50 of these last year for Christmas gifts for all of my coworkers, putting a winter flavored tea bag, silver spoon from the Dollar Tree, and a single package of Stevia in it, and then put it in a 4x6 resealable clear envelope, with a paper topper on it. I could also get some matching chipboard elements that I stuck on the front downward triangle too, for the Echo Park paper. They loved it! I bought the double sided paper either from Michael's or Tuesday Morning- these are great for gift giving of little items.
I've also been living under a rock! Have never seen these before, although I've seen similar ones. I really like this one; I'm going to get some paper now and make a few. Thanks for sharing!
The rock must have been huge, because many of us have been hiding together beneath it! Thank you for sharing...time to go gather all the papers to make the things ☺️
I've been making these for years. I love to put bags of tea with a package of raw honey and a honey spoon in them. They are quick and easy and make lovely gifts.
These are I believe a form of Origami folding but have seen them but never used them much. But now I can see making many from all those 6x6 pads collecting dust in my stash! Thanks for the enthusiastic inspiration. Love the tips below from Vivienne and Becci too! Thanks ladies!
Although I’m not new to paper crafts, I am very new to journaling type paper crafts. So as a fellow rock dweller, I really appreciate you bringing this and such an easy informative and beautiful way. Thank you.
Haven't made these in ages. Love them especislly the little ones. The large one could be littke surprise packages. Put a hole on top and a ribbon to hang from it on someone's door knob. Place a fresh flower and a few goodies. What a lovely package of cheer. You could bske sone cookies, put them in a plastic bag and slide them in eith a recioe card. Lovely coworker gifts for the holidays. If we ever get back to normsl life. Good time to make them up for when you can use them. TFS. I did. 🙏💌
Love these...!! I wish that I could say, I've been living under that rock with you! But I've know about them for a couple of years now. I made them as tea favors. You place an individually wrapped tea bag or two in the pocket. I even found tiny plastic silver spoons and placed them in the pocket, as well. I've punched out a tiny hole at the top point....added a tiny stamped teapot image on a punched out circle with a hole punched in it, too. Then I tied it up with bakers twine making a small bow. I wish i could take credit for the idea. But I first saw Amber make these on LyricLoverCrafts. I made tons for a craft fair for this year. Now I don't even know if there will be any craft fairs, Just thankful that I hadn't purchased all the tea to go in them yet...lol Thank you for reminding me of them. Now I want to make mini ones for my small journal! Hugs n Luv 💕 Suzy
Well that was a trip down memory lane. We used to make those little cups in grade school when we went to get a drink of water. They only lasted for one very quick drink but we had so much fun making them. I never thought of using them in my journal. So fun. Thank you.
60+ and just learning about this fold. Your way of folding the top triangle down and then the sides makes it easier to get the sides more even than doing the reverse. Just how I saw other YT do it. And yours are embellished so beautifully.
I too had been living under a rock as I had never seen these before watching your video. Last night I decided to try making some and had so much fun doing them. I decided not to decorate them immediately but wait till I was ready to put them into a journal so I could match the theme of the journal more appropriately. I now have a stash ready to go and just wanted to thank you for posting your video.
I found out about these on Facebook junk journal junkies! I had no idea they existed!! Love these!! Glad to know I have under rock friends who are so creative...😉
I guess I've been under the proverbial rock for an even longer time. This the first I've ever seen these. Great idea from Becci McClain about using these to leave tips for housekeeping, etc., when traveling.
I particularly love the pink envelope, it looks like an adorable face to me with long eyelashes! The butterfly is the Cupid’s bow mouth and the hole enforcers are the eyes and ribbons coming through the holes are the eyelashes!
Thank you Natasha for the inspiration, I to have been under that rock ,and from the sounds of it we are not alone.I just have to say you do such great videos, easy to follow with clear directions.I have made more things from your site than any other crafting site that I have viewed.Thank you for your time and efforts to make these videos they are so meaningful for a lot of us.Carla from Arizona
Oh My That Teeny Tiny one is too cute... Yes I am a rock dweller just seeing these for the first time Too cute and simple enough I can do it .. Thank you for sharing this with us
Oh my my. Every time I watch your vids I want to rush home and make something. But right now the one thing I don’t have is time. We have horses so after work it’s off to the barn. Just know I am watching and learning, and may I add trying to pick up a little bit of your accent. Hee hee. Thank you again so much. Luv what you do. Take care and thank you always.
I first saw these done about a year ago, made some, and then promptly forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me. I just made one but didn't glue down that last big flap and made the triangles underneath into tuck spots for tiny tags. I then folded the big triangle over them as usual. Now I've tucks some 'hidden' tags and created more journaling space under the big flap. TFS!
Not a Rock Dweller...😆! Some of us have made them to put tea bags in along a few other goodies to sell at craft fairs. I still can't get over "Rock Dweller"!! 😆
I love these! I saw on someone else's page that she had filled these with candies. Sweet! I just made on with the side flaps crossing on top of the middle flap, thus creating extra pockets. Fun!
Love the black paper with the green. Double sided paper looks best. As kid we used to make these as drinking cups, we used smaller paper but same concept. Yes elementary school.
Telling about people who made these in elementary school reminded me of the zines that are popular. I used those in the 1980s when I taught middle school. They're definitely not new. I've not thought of making different sizes of these little pockets. Tiny ones with a message inside would be wonderful on the front of greeting cards. Thanks for the inspiration! ...off to do some folding....
As soon as I watched this, I ran and did one! I did it with torn edges, so I made it a bit challenging, but it turned out so cute I didn't mind the extra work.
i have never heard of these but then i have only just discovered altered books and just discovered your channel, i am excited to start. I did start a book on Friday at a class, but the instruction there was different, i prefer you style.
Thank you so much, found your channel last night and I watched a few of your videos, love them 😍 Showed this video to my 6yr old daughter this morning before she went to school and she's come home with a couple she made during the day, she's taught her friends too and is still making them this evening... not decorated, just the folding but she'll get there so thank you, I can't wait to start on them myself 🥰
I too have been living under a rock but you have brought us into the light. I love this. Thank you for sharing something new to me as well. Two thumbs up.
My first time seeing your video. Thank you for sharing this easy to follow tutorial. I ended up making four of them. I made to give away. I only had single sided Designer Series Papers which I embellished with scrap shapes. Quick and easy to do. Love it. Have a pleasant day. Stay safe🌹😷😊
Thank you Natasha I got very inspired by these pockets I made like six of them Omg I like the way they came out ❤ thank you 😊 beautiful job you do in all your videos.
Can’t believe we have not run into each other in the cave in which you and I must dwell because I’ve not seen these cute envelope tutorials before. In luv them. Thx.
Thank you so much for your lovely and easy to follow card making video. I really appreciate how easy it is for a newbie like me to follow along. Looking forward to watching more !!!!
Dear Natasha, I think you are an amazing lady with wonderful, wonderful ideas which are so so easy and fun to make. I am from India Kolkata and since last night I have made so many pockets as well as envelopes 😅. I cannot thank you enough for teaching me to make envelopes in such an easy process. Looking forward to more such tutorials from you.❤ God bless ❤
Apparently I'm a rock dweller also :) These are great, I'm excited to add this to the idea box. I have really enjoyed so many of your tutorials. You explain the technique so well and I like the written notes that accompany many of them. I have a notebook where I keep all the techniques I am learning along with samples to go back and refer to.
I use to make these with 6x6 squares. I would put teabags in, Ghiradelli choc. squares or a little Valentine. I would use paper according to the holiday or season. They are fun! Great idea for journals! Thanks!
What a great idea. I've just started creating junk journals and I have a stash of wonderful "aged" papers. This technique will be great in the journals. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Natasha!!! I live under the rock next door, lol...but those are cute as the Dickens!!! Thanks for sharing. You always have the best projects! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!! 🐤🍃🤗🍃🐣
Crawling out from a landslide of boulders. 73yrs and I’ve never seen these. Just think of all the teeny tiny ones I could have made for the tooth fairy for my 24 gkids. I’ll make a thousand of these to hang on Christmas tree. Such fun with all the last years wrapping paper. TTYFT
Hahaha OMG Betty, you made me laugh!!!!! "Landslide of boulders" "Make a thousand to hang on Christmas tree" Wow you have 24 grand kids, wow wow wow Betty!! I love it !!
Sometimes I think I have been under a rock a lot. Thank you for the great idea and excellent explanation. I am making one of them for everyone on my Christmas list. We are under lockdown here in Manitoba so I am mailing cash and gift cards. I am using your pocket envelopes and making coin envelopes to put in them, closing them with a hidden paperclip. I also am not gluing the envelopes so the kids, and possibly the adults, can open them and draw or write.
I want to make some and use up some flowers and lace to make pretties , thanks for sharing....I had never seen these either! ....and later-I made up 25 of these, sat in front of t.v. and glued them...tomorrow, some decorating! Yeah...thanks for the inspiration! :)
It seems I've been a rock dweller longer than you! Thank you for this video - I'm going to be making some this afternoon. Your subscribers have some good ideas on how to use them too!
It's funny. I never thought about it until you said people have been making these in primary school. Yes! I do remember them. We made them at Valentine's to hold our cards we got in c lass. We decorated them then taped them to our desk to collect those cute little cards all the moms so lovingly bought or made for their little ones who really didn't want to be handing out cards with mushy sentiments on them but happily munching love cookies and little hard candies hahaha. Oh ! Those were the days. 😁💞
Tried these out; didn't realize I'd be going down the origami rabbit hole, but here I am :-) Using the photocopy paper to practice, I hardly even need to glue anything except the bottom flap down; seems I've at last trained all my thumbs to become fingers.
Well Natasha, seems I live under a rock too. Maybe because I mainly do "other" art forms etc. I have NEVER made these and like yourself I think these are absolutely adorable!! And FUN. Thanks for getting me out from under the rock :)
You never cease to amaze me with your endless stream of new ideas! I love this! I actually have something similar that I will never use for its intended purpose and it would be so easy to use your same process and turn it into a journal! Thank you for yet another creative idea!
I make those to put my handmade earrings they are easy to make. Beautiful the way you decorate them. I’m going to decorate them too.thank you for the idea.

Welcome to the “Under the Rock” neighborhood! I’m a long time resident. This is simple and brilliant. Thank you
We made these in 3 rd grade when learning oragami in art class. It could be a pocket and/or a container to drink from if you drank really fast! Lol She taught us so many fun and interesting things. Mrs. Strong was my favorite teacher! That was almost 60 years ago!
Wow and you still remember Mrs.Strong!! She must have been a wonderful teacher :) You are very lucky to have had a teacher like that :)
My grandson loves doing origami. He also learn in art class in elementary school.
Natasha, this is a great project... I made three different sizes and put one inside the other... they are only attached to each other on the front flap which makes for a triple pocket behind... TFS!
I love it!! So much fun we can have with this project :)

Ive never seen them either. They're adorable. I can't wait to see if you use them in a journal somewhere.
Love the black paper with the green. Double sided paper looks best. As kid we used to make these as drinking cups, we used smaller paper but same concept. Yes elementary school.
I love these little guys. I am obsessed with pocketses and can't wait to make some of these!!

We are under lockdown here in Manitoba so I am mailing cash and gift cards. I am using your pocket envelopes and making coin envelopes to put in them, closing them with a hidden paperclip. I also am not gluing the envelopes so the kids, and possibly the adults, can open them and draw or write.
That sounds wonderful Brenda ! Have fun crafting :)
I’ve never seen them before, but they’re so cute and I love how that they seem quick and easy to make 😊 Thanks for sharing ⭐️
Thanks so much 😊 Have fun :)
Wow! I’ve been crafting for years and never seen these. Thanks these are awesome!
These are brilliant. I'm away to hunt out papers.
I want to make some and use up some flowers and lace to make pretties , thanks for sharing....I had never seen these either! ....and later-I made up 25 of these, sat in front of t.v. and glued them...tomorrow, some decorating! Yeah...thanks for the inspiration! :)
25 in one sitting!! That's what I'm talking about!!!
I had not seen these before. They are really cute. You decorated them great and with such great embellishments.
Thank you so much!
It seems I've been a rock dweller longer than you! Thank you for this video - I'm going to be making some this afternoon. Your subscribers have some good ideas on how to use them too!
Rock on! Heheh Thank you for watching :)
Love these! Have loads of papers that I wouldn't use but perfect for this.
Wonderful!
Yes I’ve been under a rock also, but I really like these beautiful creations. Thanks for sharing. You ROCK.
Thank you! Cheers!
I've made them and put tea bags & treats in them. I love this idea for journals. I would never have thought about using them this way. I love it!
Thank you Sandy :)
I’ve never seen this before either. I think this is an awesome ideal for happy mail and for treats. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!!
and again, easy, beautiful, I have no other words, amazing amazing work! so inspiring!
Delightful! Thank you - just in time for Christmas, to make money gifts in a pretty envelope!
I’ve never seen either! What a delight to have such a quick project with so many uses. Thank you for teaching this wonderful idea💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching :)
Well I guess I must have been under a rock as well. These are darling! Thank you.💗
You never cease to amaze me with your endless stream of new ideas! I love this! I actually have something similar that I will never use for its intended purpose and it would be so easy to use your same process and turn it into a journal! Thank you for yet another creative idea!
Thank you so much!! Have fun :)
I guess I was living under a rock and didn't know it. Thanks for sharing these cute pockets.
