I didn't expect to be so many processes to be done by hand. Now I just hope the workers are paid fairly because this IEMs don't have any right to be this cheap! (in a good way)
@@LuciferArc1 my uncle back in china works at factory, not sure what company but they make iems too, and he's being paid slightly above 14k usd/yr which i think is above the minimum wage.
I like how your hair transforms between scene to scene lol Great video! Looking at how the IEMs being produced, I'm really wondering how the heck they can put it at just $60...
Thank you for taking a beautiful trip/visting one of my favorite company in Chifi world. Now I can appreciate my 7Hz IEM collection even more such as the OG Timeless, Legato and now the Sonus on pre order these are the perfect match for my Shanling M6 ultra.
Bro this is amazing! really love to see the engineeer behind our products, this is also cool because my 7Hz Sonus is on its way to me, really like this
This is a very good thing to see, brings us better understanding of our product and better appreciation for the price-points these guys are able to hit.
Yes, they are. Especially those not "off-the-shelf" drivers. To create custom jig and mold requires a MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity). Usually 10,000 units
@@KopiOkaya yes it’s not a small manufacturing feat. They probably intend to use the jigs for a lot more drivers, can’t wait to see the refinement in the lower end!
@@TomatePasFraicheBy the way, I am with 7Hz. Most of the time, custom jigs and molds stay with the brand. The driver manufacturer cannot reuse it to sell to another brand or make (by contract).
@@KopiOkaya idk i never thought of it. i will be appreciating my iems alot more now... Those workers must have amazing eye sight and their patience 🙏 dealing with such tiny things.
One second your hair exploded, another second is flat, then next scene is wet. Hahahaha... must be a very adventurous journey in the premise. Eye opener and insightful video. 👍
That's why othrr brands are better. Bo tubing filters. Only crossover to allow the driver to move. They the chamber. Look at ie600 the noozle. Or audio 64 with an acoustic chamber inside like a speaker .
Paulo, price is a reflection of how much goes into a product. Every brand has their budget and premium lines. As the saying goes, you get what you pay. Nonetheless, not everyone is willing to pay premium for hobby. They have other priorities in life. In fact, budget products are the "bread and butter" of many brands. Let's put it this way... You can only sell so many $1,000 IEM a month.
In today's day and age, you don't have to be physically in China to get things done. Everything is done virtually via the Internet. For example, as a tuner, I communicate with China side through video conference and WeChat massages. Our only "barriers" are language and technical jargons.
@@namnguyentran2285Not if we use WeChat and QQ. These apps are not blocked. Nonetheless, many businesses in China do have VPN. They know the world is much bigger.
surprised how much of it is done manually. thank you for this insight
Thank you for taking the trip and showing us the process! :D Makes us appreciate our IEMs even more!
Very informative SuperChonk. I appreciate that 7Hz let you film this video. And now to purchase a pair!
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed it!
Always wondered how dynamic drivers are made. Thanks for the super informative video!
Glad it was helpful! Also great to see you again!
Great behind the scene tour! Put on my Timeless for this special video. 🎧

Not to worry... Workers at 7Hz are paid fairly and they are happy working for us. I can't say about other companies though.
It's China. So I doubt it

I'm sure the cheap $20 ones are tedious to make as well. Thank you for the tour chonk!
Brilliant vlog ! 7Hz has great quality standards.
Yeah it was quite an eye opener when with the levels of dedication!
Very good! Thanks!
I'm surprised that not more of it's done through automation. Respect 7hz.

This is crazy intricate. Gotta get a sonus now
Quite a lot of work went into this. haha
great video , thanks .

Great vid thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Thats a lot of work, always thought dd's were made by machines without human interaction... Woah 🤯
Machines can only do "so much". There are certain intricate procedures that still require human involvement... Just like making Swiss watches.

great! this video was over before I knew it.
I'm pretty glad that you enjoyed it!
The best best so far. Great job @SuperChonk. May I know they tune IEM's, is there any software used to tune other than hardwares materials?
Thanks ah Chonk!
Hahah great to see you in the comments section again!
Thank you Ah Chonk!

Awesome content. Thanks you!
Thank you! I try to do something different :)

Thank you very much for the insight. How were the working conditions for the people working in the factory?
at some parts of the video I could feel my speaker cone almost fall out, you should get a pop filter 5:48
I bought the sonus on accident but i figured...meh. i guess ill keep the order haha. Seems like a good iem anyway.
I hope you enjoy them!
Handmade can better control the distortion of the speaker, higher quality speaker, machine is not comparable

no crossover parts included
Are the legato and sonus made in Singapore not China?
Made in China. For both products. As for Legato we co -tuned in SG and China together
They are manufactured in China. Tuning is done in BOTH China and Singapore.
If made in SG the price will not be this affordable 😅
Excuse me, like your what sir? 😮

Tube filters are a materials price bracket thing, not a brand thing.
