Thank you for the appreciation. Yes we all associated Jeep with everything rugged, offroader so much so that we even used to call the Mahindra models as Jeep! Now it brings sophistication, safety, luxury and class alongwith being a capable off roader.
Car has an overall very plush and smooth ride. Bad roads is never a problem, but high speed breakers in India and also more than necessary speed will definitely make the car jump at the backside.
I think you meant 2nd row. Meridian is 364mm longer, 41mm wider, 42mm taller and has a wheelbase that's 158mm longer than the Compass. While these may not seem a huge difference but all collectively offer a very comfortable stance. With a good head room and 2 inches of extra shoulder room is all that is required to make the difference. Most important, longer wheel bases gives a much plusher, smoother and planted ride, adding to the comfort in the middle row.
It is a very silent car...engine noise is almost zero despite being a diesel. It has a comfortable steering and nicely tuned comfortable shock absorbers...so drive quality and noise is at minimal. Alpine speakers ensure that all you hear is nice music and passengers talking to you. 👍🏻
Any issue you face while diving manual considering the size of vehicle? Strange that manual doesn’t have cruise control. You didn’t mention the reason of choosing manual btw?
No problem at all with the manual version. Infact the gear shifts are ver slick and precise and clutch is soft. Regarding the reasons to go for a manual, I guess it's time to make a short video for it. Stay tuned!! 😉
Thank you so much for your honest review, please advise what option, one to go for 4x2 or 4x4, can 4x2 serve all terrain mode comfortably like snow , mud etc.. I am not doing too much off-roading however i want my vehicle to cruise easily on uphill, snow an mud area ; also should offer no problem during waterlogging. Appreciate your revert. thanks
Hi Ashish, glad you liked the video. 4x2 is a very potent engine and has traction control and hill start and descent modes to control the over all handling. Unless you venture into extreme slush too often 4x2 will take you places. For city water logging, there is absolutely no problem. I have driven this vehicle at good speeds around the ghats during monsoon and it has responded very well to the steering and the road beneath. If you actually have an off roading track in mind, then you can go for 4x4. But practically if you are notna trained driver it is not advisable to take your own vehicle on such track even if it is 4x4. The kind of beating a new driver (along with off road tracks) will give to the vehicle is not funny. It is better to take cars which are available at such tracks. Moreover not only is 4x4 more expensive, it is heavier than a std 4x2 and guzzles more gallans per km. As mentioned by you, you do not off-road that often, then I would suggest to go for a 4x2..it will not disappoint you. It is feature rich, comfortable drive and a plush interior with very capable engine to cover your daily requirements.
Thank for the appreciation. Right now going through free services, but the key is to have a good service manager. Atleast Jeep did not try to fleece money (yet) in the name of stupid ac filter change etc. so we need to be watchful. Things like air filter, ac filter,.ac virus sprays, etc. are just myths...these usually have a long and sturdy life. For example, ac vents don't easily catch moulds as the ac is always running in most of the cars...it is only when you keep ac running in a stationary car that there is a problem of condensation, which may eventually lead to mould. But most of the service guys just keep changing the filters coz it gets them the extra buck..so one should ask questions and save money..ideally one service.of Meridien should not be more than 8-10kappx
Otherwise Meridien will not ask for much of service. It has a very ice quality of fit and finish which will mean parts are intact and there are no loose ends. I have travelled upto 1000 kms a day and it was ready for more.
Firstly it gives you a complete control on the gear that you want to be in. But interestingly it gives additional mileage as well. While people keep saying that automatic is as efficient as manual, but the truth is that Manual car gives you freedom from present gear ratios and you can drive to get a great fuel run from it. I got 19kmpl on this beast. Last but not the least, it keeps me alert and engaged. Automatic cars leave very little for you to do. Real fun is the old school way where both your legs and hands are always alert and active. But again, this is my personal view and automatic cars do offer a lot of comfort in driving as well. So it is a personal choice after all.
I took a test drive but the car is cramped. 3 rd row is only for kids. 2nd row mein seltos/creta se kam space hai. I really liked the car but space mein maar kha gayi
That's great! Absolute steal you got! All the best. You are going to enjoy it. Prices seems to have dropped now. Can you confirm if your car is 2024 model or 2023?
Jeep is legend for its handling, safety and perfection. Its a well engineered vehicle. By the way background music is awesome.

Thanks , this must be the first positive meridian review on you tube
Congratulations sir🎉🎉 excellent car
Only tell me that is the car backside or boot space jumps while on speed breaker or bad roads??

Can 3 people sit comfortably in 1st row for long drives unlike compass
I think you meant 2nd row.

Thanks for honest review, how is the engine performance? Is there engine noise inside the cabin while cruising?

Can you tell us about the service cost for meridian. By the way your review is short and precise 👍
Thank for the appreciation.

Hey SID, how hard is the clutch on this ?
ive heard its a pain
Not at all. Clutch is light and smooth.gears also get into the position very smoothly.

Just bought this in only 36.5 lakhs on road with everything in surat gujarat
That's great! Absolute steal you got! All the best. You are going to enjoy it.
