    Personal data has been and will be a serious issue to solve for long time to come , given the importance of the matter and it's impact on people's privacy not only in Canada but in many places around the world.

    Speaking of Census Canada. I remember they came into my house and watched me fill out my parents Census form because we delayed to finish those forms.

    Police would require a warrant signed by a judge to obtain information such as this. How can a bunch of politicians get this information so easily?
    October 2019. Vote anything except Liberal.

    Privacy today is not whether you have it or not, you don’t. It’s about who is working to protect your rights and freedoms and who is not. Stats Can are the good guys, they want to help Canadians by understanding them. But they should not get a free pass, obviously, to collect. If the info is guarded and anonymous, let them have it!
    Google, Facebook, RUclips, these companies want to help themselves by changing Canadians and convincing them to change behaviour. Your information is neither guarded or anonymous.
    Which is wrong, which is right?

      Stats Can is probably looking at the banks. No wonder the cons don't want this study done. Fees for everything regardless of whether they're justified.

    • @rosestewart1606

      And because Google, Facebook and all of the others are based in the US the American government is tracking everything you do. Consent is implied simply by using the internet and this includes your personal emails.

    Recall him. We did it with Joe Clark and don't need to put up with this crud! I don't want to deal with my bank and I want to deal in cash now

  • @learysinsight5796
    @learysinsight5796 5 лет назад

    One solution is to take all of your money out of the bank and use cash only for everything. Cash at home not in someone elses.

    There is no problem with the request by stats Canada.

  • @AGeneral_Nuisance
    @AGeneral_Nuisance 5 лет назад

    I disagree and don't see a problem with the request especially if the data is used to asses\provide a solution to the amount of private debt we have in Canada

      Blair B I got a solution; How about the Government stop taxing us to death, and stop spending that money on non-Canadians!
      Is that you “Bill Blair”?

    • @robertbennett848

      Blair- how will it help the government to know how much money we have or where we spend it? Or if we are in debt or not?

    • @allanshpeley4284

      There is a major problem if it's without our consent, whatever the purpose is. It's an invasion of privacy.

    How about the prime minister who approves this , let the public see how much and where his money is going, that would include offshore accounts. Besides if the feds want to know more, just ask google or facebook, they have been collecting info for years.
