Those 5.0L "Tau" Hyundai V8s are super underrated. 420hp and naturally aspirated. This sounds good and very unsuspecting of this car. I would add a quality muffler to remove some of the rasp out, but it is still pretty nice.

Very underrated car and powertrain. The V8 sounds really good with an x pipe. Pleasantly surprised 👍🏽
I have the same car. The power trane imo is trash. No performance upgrades and you can’t do anything to it. can’t get parts from the parts store if something breaks. My transmission went out $3k out of my pocket to fix it and not a year later my 5.0 went. I’m currently swapping a LS in it

@@478slimm i also have a 12-14...i do believe that they somewhat fixed the issue in 2015 but of course, there are still cases similar to yours..mods are indeed a headache tho...even installing an intake, i had to go custom with a moosun intake from a 6.1/5.7 challenger/charger, and then i needed an extra coupler, and a shorter cone filter just to make it work...with an SS or GT, you simply just purchase the designated parts online from any site, and walaah, that's it..headers, tunes, and other minor bolt ons are a hassle or require major research and digging..

@@sodaPapa7176 yes very reliable if you don’t actually look into recalls or reliability issues with Hyundai. This particular model has 5 recalls open. 1) ABS modules that can leak fluid and cause a fire . Hyundai recommends parking outside so your house and garage don’t catch fire. 2) electrical system - The gauge cluster may post an incorrect speed or turn on warning lights that shouldn’t be on and not illuminate a warning light that needs to be lit. For example if you’re low on oil pressure your car might not tell you and grenade your engine , much like Hyundai Theta and Theta 2 engines would do.
The others are minor such as weak sidewalls on factory tires , gauge cluster not showing if you’re in Park , drive or neutral and finally the car might not know when it’s parking brake is being used or not.
Naturally aspirated vs turbocharged
Turbos muffler the sound and make cars quieter, plus turbo cars have a massive cat.
It's also aged better and looks better design wise

I had 3.8 v6 with custom exhaust, 5.0 v8 is perfect, but to be honest i dont like this one how it sounds 🤷♂️😅

I’ve got the same with just cut outs. They have a rev limiter so doesn’t let you really rev it but it sounds amazing driving it! Always keep mine wide open!

bruh 108 and it still has so many things still muffling the sound low key this might be probably 1 of the loudest v8s if it get a tune and professional exhaust to get a clean sound.

I have a 2013 basically straight pipe, cats are in. Scared the shit out of NA chargers and Camaros. They don't know where the sound is coming from. For a heavy ass car it scoots nice.

Honestly I'd rather own a Genesis than any German luxury brand (maybe not Porsche). You get the same gadgets and sometimes even more for only a fraction of the price the styling is really subtle but so nice as well.
Bro just by your comment t I can tell you’ve never owned a German car. My 07 Cls550 has more features in it, more reliable , and way faster

@@aommo8832 relax. I have a 14’ 5.0 genesis and upgraded my 13’ cls550 to a cls63. 550 is not way faster or even faster lol. Especially an 07. It has more tuning options tho. BMW and Mercedes have more features but it’s not a night and day difference.

It does. Mine has cat delete Resonator delete and stock muffler delete. Magnaflow bullet style mufflers and x-pipe. Ecu and tcu tune on E85. It rips now. I walk scat packs and I also beat a 6.2 C63 amg
