When it came out, it had a 3.7 on Fragantica. I got this and Eros at the same time and instantly gravitated towards this one. Nice to see it getting the love it deserves. A Parfum version would be phenomenal!
It is in my top 10 out of my 250+ collection, beating out some expensive niche and designer frags. Just well put together.

Still hoping for an Elixir. Some fragrances straddle the line between playful and sophisticated perfectly and that's what I want from the Elixir!

My first proper fragrance. Just bought 200ml for 90 euros. I loved it at the store when I tested it. My own thoughts and thoughts of other people on it: Compliment getter, sweet, sexy, masculine, pleasant, for a variety of occasions, not too strong, a seductor, fresh base DNA, perfect for the club, suits men who are in touch with their emotions, memorable, approachable, friendly, mildly spicy, well protruding and long-lasting, can't put "too much" on, underrated, attention-grabbing. I think it's a truly unique masterpiece and it's most likely diminishing return for me if I would start buying other fragrances after this
I want to try this one, but haven't yet. May go to ultra and see what it's like in person.
I loaded up on this one due to it's discontinued status. Waiting for it to be eventually begone.
If they do an elixir it will be another variant on the normal Eros, of which I have the EDT and EDP in jumbo.
I didn't get the parfum as somebody said the opening was a bit harsh. Who knows? I may get that one on discount, too, unless an elixir materializes.

Morning Nate. That Pepperwood note is interesting- it’s trademarked. I just made a video for today and that note is also in PDM Herod. I just thought trademarked notes were exclusive to the brand. But just food for thought. Anyways Eros Flame is fantastic. It needs a flanker!
Usually the big perfume companies like Givaudan have perfumers craft accords and they trademark or patent them. They did the same thing with a another molecule called Aquazone That's in Aqua Di Gio profondo.

@@FragnifiscentsIt looks like it was created back in 06 by Givaudan and it acts as a warm spicy top note. smells like fresh white Sichuan pepper with a hint of sweat over a linalool / Coranol fresh profile.
"Introduced in 2006: "A fresh, natural, pleasant-smelling molecule with a spicy-peppery topnote." (Givaudan: annual report 2006). "woody, agarwood, olibanum, vetyver, peppery" (p. 13), "Addition of 100 weight parts of Dimethylcarbamic acid 1,5-dimethyl-2-vinyl-hex-4-enyl ester (Table 2, compound 22) enhances the spicy-peppery aspect of the fragrance and gives it more overall lift" (p. 16)."

I wanted to like Flame and also have the original (both EDP concentrations), but the fabric softener smell overpowers both - I think that's why people say that they both smell similar. It's also why I just can't get the hype for D&G The one EDP - the fabric softener smell/linen drowns out the other notes and is headache inducing. Of the two Eros - flame is definitely nicer - it's just whatever chemical cocktail that they're using to generate the fresh linen smell at least for me drowns out the other notes which is a shame.
While reading your comment i was like ok he dosen't like Flame its understandable but once you mentioned you don't know the hype for DG The one i was like, you don't know what you're talking about 😊
It's a confused fragrance. Citrus opening, sweet at the dry down.
But … isn’t Eros Flame discontinued? 😳

Oh, I hope you’re correct. It hasn’t been restocked in Norway for months, and I got told by a seller that it’s “typically silently discontinued”.
@@beer_bad That's correct. Usually fragrances are silently discontinued and it might be discontinued. We just will never know. Until you can't buy it anymore and it's $500 on eBay.
its a beast. the elixir would have to augment the pepper and rosemary...maybe nutmeg then everyone can argue about how similar it is to dior sauvage elixir. Perfect. This used to be my fave but I love the EDP Eros. So over the top for someone of my age but fk all of you lol
