Can you tell what kind of battery do they have installed? It looks like a small Li-Po one, which does not seem safe for direct sunlight and hot environments as the car interiors.
Yes! I know, I'm sad but I have too much time on my hands- I ve repaired my "fake led flasher" and found the weak link in the design was the on/off switch, which was corroded, likely damp got into it from open side. I just levered off switch and connected two solder joints together to make it permanently 'on', should work for other four years now! also ordered 3 more from ebay for £2 each
can you test if the solar panel actually charging the battery? it seems it only works as night trigger to start working... they added USB for charging which is annoying if that's the only way to charge it...
I can try. I have had both lying in my car for 2 weeks now, and they are still working, so I guess the solarpanel is charging them. In the item decription it says: solar energy automatic charging.
@@Italjohn yeah I've seen the descripton as well, but you know how believable that can get... I also just got 2 units, when I put them on charge seems it's doing nothing
Both "alarms" was discharged yesterday. Put both in my livingroom window (in the sun) and both worked again later that day. So yes, they do charge by solar.
@@Italjohn thank you for the update, I also have mine installed on both cars about 2 weeks now, seems both of them are charging in the Sun, cool little toy
I've just got these and they work great but one question when I turn them off and put them on charge their solid red does that mean they are charged or they still have to charge and will change colour to Green..? Thanks 🙏
I'm curious if the rechargeable batteries in the decoy car alarm are heat-resistant. With the intense sunlight during the day, could the batteries get damaged, or is there some protection inside the unit to shield them from the heat?

This is what it says in the item decription: Built-in high capacity AN Ni-Mh battery, with no memory effect and long service life

I will try to measure the charging from the solarpanel

Excellent review, thank you. 😊
Is it road legal for UK ?
Road legal?
@ yes
I don't understand. This is a blinking fake alarm diode. You don't drive around with it on.
@@Italjohnoh ok understand thanks 👍
Can you turn the light red?
You will have to choose between red and blue when ordering
Just bought today. There's been car thefts in our area

Good question!
Hallo Blinkt das aus währen der Fahrt im Dunkeln
It blinks when it's dark. Switches off in the day, works at night.
Good video 👍
Question I got the type 2 solar alarm.
Is it a way to make work also at day;
When the sun shines.
Can I cover the sensor
Thank you 😊
It will work if you cover the solar panel, but as you migth know, it will not charge the battery then.
No alarm
Mine only worked in less than a month.
Why did mine quit working
I have no idea, sorry.
Not good. If driving at night. They flash while your driving. Not good!
That's correct. It will start blinking as soon at sun goes down. It has a switch so you can tur it off if you like.
I had 2 of these absolute crap lasted 2 days
Mine still works
