      Agreed! I actually decided to have a conversation with ChatGPT last week and ask it if black privilege existed, and the answer was super long, explaining that it was a complicated subject and blah blah blah....then it even talking about slavery.... wtf?? Then I said give me a short answer, yes or no, and ChatGPT took no time to ponder and immediately said No. So then I asked, does white privilege exist? And without a moment to ponder, ChatGPT said, yes. Then the conversation went on and on with me asking all types of questions, and by the end of the conversation, ChatGPT couldn't keep the narrative making sense in relation to black privilege existing, haha. I might film it and put it up sometime. But just proof that ChatGPT is very leftist biased. I did a similar conversation about trans women in sports. Moral of the story, we need a ChatGPT that is not leftist.

      For Rachel the question "Am I racist?" is redundant because everyone who is "white" is racist by definition. This is a fact, you are born with it, and can't change. From her point of view the question you should be asking is "how am I racist?" not to determine if you are racist but to identify how you are displaying it in a given situation so you can acknowledge it and apologize for it.

      2. They hate themselves for the fact they are "better", and project that by insulting others who don't also agree with the first point, at least for the white ones.
      At least for the whites.
      For the POC anti-racists, it's the opposite:
      1. They feel a sort of inferiority in this case, and if you don't validate their inferiority complex by wanting to help them, you are the bad guy.
      2. Since they are inferior and the victims, that means they have the moral superiority against "the oppresor", so you have to agree with them.

    Unless you believe you are not a racist. Then things get completely flipped around. How could you possibly know whether you are a racist or not? People can be mistaken. For example, if you ask people if they are an above-average driver, far more than 50% of the people queried will say they believe they are an above average driver. Obviously, many of those people are mistaken.
      Now, Matt will probably argue that being racist is subjective, so comparing it to an objective claim about driving skills is not valid. But I would counter that there are elements of racism that could be objectively measured through a well designed series of questions. (not the type of questions that crazy liberals would ask, but more like the type of questions that the author of the Bell Curve might come up with)

      Amen. I took an ethnic diversity course in college back in 2009 (don't ask) and my final paper was explaining how our ethnicity is our skeleton buy we can choose what to add to it. I went into explaining how I'm a hispanic American female but I take on different values and cultures that don't follow many stereotypes. I actually don't connect with many Hispanics for many reasons. Like you said, culture means more to me than race.

    I don't agree with the statement that you have to think you are a racist to be a racist. You tend to be aware if you actively hate a race, but even that doesn't necessarily translate into thinking you are a racist. I think the amount of leftists that are quite racist without being aware of their own racism shows this to be the case. They may openly speak against white people or talk down to non-whites as if they are lesser and still not think of themselves as being racist for treating people as lesser for being of a particular race without specifically even knowing the person.

      I kind of both agree and disagree. These people are racist, but they claim not to be because "its not possible to be racist against whites." That is literally what they think while simultaneously being racist. So they are totally fine with discriminating based on color, but they disagree that it is racism. Unfortunately for them, that is the actual definition of racism.
      Words can mean anything when people keep changing the definitions of them. By the old school definition of racism that we all accepted as true for years, they are unabashedly racist and proud of it.

    I grew up in a rural, mostly white area. Very good people. They do question other cultures because of what they see in the news. People like the reviewer of Matt's movie very rapidly label them as racists simply because they do not associate with minorities on a regular basis - unintentional on their part. I know from first hand experience that these "racists" have helped people of all walks without hesitation - no matter what they look like. They have helped change flat tires, bought tanks of gas -- and more. That does not matter to the reviewer because she gets too much joy out of labeling others as racists based on some very general observations. I am pretty sure that she has never spent a few hours pulling a (minority) stranger out of a snow bank in frigid temperatures like some people I personally know.

    Contrary to what Matt says, I think that a person can believe he or she is not racist, yet they are racist. He uses the tasting of ice cream as an example. I'll go with a person who has high levels of unrealized anger for my example. If the person does not think they are an angry person that does not mean that they are not an angry person.

    • @liquidpebbles
      @liquidpebbles 10 дней назад +1

      Good example. I wasn't on board with his line of thinking there.

    • @aahyes9068
      @aahyes9068 8 дней назад

      A more obvious example: someone who identifies as "anti-racist".
      As Matt said, a person can still lie about how they feel/think -- so it's possible that unrealized anger and unconscious racism are both just lies. Technically, the notion that unrealized anger exists is a speculation. (I tend to believe in it too but being a psych grad myself, am playing devil's advocate & pointing out that it's at least debatable b/c whether it comes from the self or from an observer, it's an unprovable claim about an internal state. All we can do with objective rigor is record behaviour and say whether it's consistent with what our theory of anger predicts.)
      But I think when defining racism according to observable behaviours like
      - making/promoting assumptions about people's moral character and/or privilege based on their skin tone or ethnicity;
      - applying/advocating discriminatory policy based on such assumptions;
      then it becomes immediately clear that self-described anti-racists are racist.
      Imo, racists are probably aware of that problem -- for them, being easy to recognize as racist is a problem that mutes their desired impact; and that's presumably why they're trying to redefine the word "racism" as a pejorative label applicable only to people their (racist) prejudice compels them to seek to collectively weaken and malign.
      Traditional (objectively identifiable behaviour-based) definitions do not exclude the possibility for racism being self-directed (and in theory a person could hate themselves for being born a member of a hated class, even if one's definition of racism doesn't apply. But the new (racist) "anti-racist" definition of racism requires first prejudging an individual as privileged or oppressed depending on their "race" and then checking whether the person they're (potentially) making assumptions about or treating unfairly is a member of a lower (race) class in the hierarchy of privilege / higher in oppression status. If so, then the individual in question is inherently racist and the object of the assumptions or treatment is a victim of racism. If not, this is by definition impossible.
      But despite the (by definition) innate inflexibility of one's ability to be racist, the new ("anti-racist") racists apparently find it convenient to distinguish between fundamental potential (inherently probable) racism and active (behavioural) racism that can only result from inherent potential racism plus failure to pay tithes to the grievance industry priest class to obtain anti-racist instruction regarding the requisite repentence/absolution. This helps to not only prop up their racist methods for categorizing people but also ensures an income and position of moral authority above both racists and non-racists.
      It sounds like a crazy new idea but they really just copied it from feminists after witnessing the exact same power play effectively executed using sex-assigned assumptions as a divider; and feminists probably either copied the idea from authoritarian religious cults, or fell into it blindly as beneficiaries of chivalrous masculinity who began to discover to their surprise and delight just how much they could shame men into sacrificing for them if they would just relentlessly present themselves as victims and represent the opposite sex as some sort of fundamentally oppressive conspiracy designed to subjugate, rather than to exalt and protect them (though the latter was always more accurate).
      In the sense that men always were eager to help their own wives, sisters, mothers and daughters, it was easy for feminists to take command of western institutions as soon as problems of starvation and war were distant enough to justify the luxury of activism. Men were happy to appease. It took more time and work for grift-hopeful racial minority members and sexual deviants to cash in as victims because they lacked the chivalrous tradition and in some cases family ties with their targeted oppressor/benefactor class. So, I think they started by posing as allies to the feminism victimhood industry, then gradually used their leverage within it to promote "intersectionality" within the feminist movement. Eventually, the victim-oppressor mastering mind virus that had already flourished there found new forms and spread further as a tool for manipulating crowds and finally here we are today with the Biden/Harris administration fully embracing professional victimhood / cultural Marxism as its primary platform.
