Father and son patrol together in West Harris County

Last week, Deputy Dalton Mordecai, 25, joined his father, Deputy Timothy Mordecai on patrol in west Harris County. Deputy Dalton Mordecai was surprised by his father, who requested the special shift for his son’s final day as a probationary patrol deputy.
"I guess the best piece of advice that I could give him is to enjoy the job. To enjoy the citizens that he's encountering. To enjoy the other patrolmen that he's gonna deal with on a daily basis. I mean, if you enjoy your job, it's never a day at work," Deputy Timothy Mordecai said.
