the (almost) DAILY VLOG - season 2 episode 45. Recently Jordan Brand released the "Game Royal" Jordan 1 and it had a striking resemblance to the super limited/super hyped Jordan 1 Fragment or Frags that released in December 2014. The resell on the Frags is crazy. They routinely sell for right around $2000 and the Game Royals are currently available at retail which is $160. So we wanted to see if it was all hype. I personally like the fragment better, wish they release a regular version. Even for aj1 chicago/black toe, I'd pick black toe, a little touch of the black on the toe looks cooler to me somehow
Frags deff have a darker royal blue. I prefer the frags colorway. I just love the ones with black toe and more white

Gotta say guys, I'm loving the new format, studio and upgrade in quality. I'd recommend locking in the focus instead of relying on autofocus cause it fails often. Also level out the camera a bit so the wall background is symmetrical. Small things but they'd make a huge difference. Just my 2 cents as a videographer.

Appreciate the advice, bro! As far as focus goes it’s always a challenge because we move around a lot. And the wall is actually crooked which makes it tough to shoot with as a backdrop. We’ll continue to improve though. Thanks for watching!
Because of the black tongue, I prefer the color blocking of the Frag. If the tongues were white I’d like the Game Royals more.

I worked @ Footlocker in 1995 and even tho the price was a lot lower, they were still basically the same price as now based on inflation. The term Hypebeast wasn't even a thing back then and you couldn't resell a pair for more than ½ retail, MAYBE.
The only ppl that wore Jordans were ppl who had the money and actual MJ fans. A lot of Jordans sat on shelves into the early 00's. I remember when the Raging Bull Pack dropped in like 05-06, they sat on shelves so long that they went on sale for like $105! That's for 2 pairs of 5s. Now the Red Suede pair is worth $1k+ alone & a DS pair of the 3Ms runs around $500.
More like $160 vs $185. If you counting resell gotta at least give the game royals a cool $220.

I prefer the frags because of the black toes. I don’t like all the blue on the game royals. The black toe on the frags breaks it up and makes it look better imo.

I like the color way on the frags because it’s kinda like the blue counterpart of the black toes but I would cop a game royal pair and paint some more black on it because the amount of blue on it it’s sort of overwhelming to me.

Peter Moore was also the Vice President of Microsoft's Gaming division during the Xbox and Xbox 360 days. He was also President of Sega before that. I was surprised to find out he actually played a part in creating the Jordan 1.

I honestly like the Game Royal's way more. I just bought me a pair of Game Royal's on StockX I don't know why I wait so long to get me a pair. The re-sell on the Game Royal's been going up seems like more people like them now. By the way dope Hoodie goes well with the sneakers!!

Around 86-87 I remember seeing a newspaper ad for Jordan 1 Breds at $29.99 as the stock was high, and they were being dumped on the market. I remember because I obsessed over Jordan's and the ad, but unfortunately $30 was still out of my price range.

thank you for this video. So many people just praise/hate on things without reason. It is good to see that the quality isn't out of the park on the frags. tbh I personally think the color blocking on the game royals just looks better. The black on the frags has always looked slightly off or unnatural to me color-blocking wise. They don't look bad...just....off. Almost like they took the back of one shoe and the front of another and smashed them together lazily.

(what it really surprises me for the last 3 years is the fact that when they came in 2015, the AJ1 “Laser” 30th anniversary, where the biggest sleepers and underrated from all the AJ1 versions so far!!!! The leather of the Laser was much superior than SBB!!! Then the “Sail” version is also quite superb... thanks!! Best regards!! ✌🏽😎
Laser 1s are a great and buttery shoe which I own but it comes down to details on the SBB why it quality king right now I own both shoes. The tumbled & buttery body of the shoe,the insoles. You gotta factor everything that Jordan put into these specialty releases in low numbers. They know how to bring the heat if they want but they can't over saturate them or drop them too constant they would kill their exclusive releases too quickly. Sail black and white are good but I wouldn't say that better than SBB either.
Turned mine into custom frags, turned out great. Lots of compliments too

I can relate to having part of a hype beast in me, haha. Most of the time, I'm not a hype beast, cause I just go for what I like. Prime example... I don't like Yeezy's. But once in a while, the hype beast part of me takes over 🤷♀️ like with the 11 Concords

If i knew nothing about shoes & said which is better id still choose the Frags. The black compliments the shoe much better. I think its just too much blue. I will customize my pair because they will look better with the black

Peter Moore gets little credit, but it’s still too much credit. He bit off Air Force Ones(82’) and added the Jordan logo. Bruce Kilgore should get as much credit for the Jordan 1 as Moore.

For me personally, I prefer the colour blocking of the frags, not worth the price point however. If they a similar colour way to the bred toe, with a royal toe, I’d pick that over all.
