They might have not been fancy glorious hooks but the hooks he threw did catch and kill key enemy heros and also made them afraid to leave safety. That is the whole point of pudge, kill key heros, make them paranoid, give your team some breathing room. I think this video perfectly captures that.

Liking Na'Vi is kind of mainstream though. I like only Dendi and not so much cause of his gameplay but because he has this charismatic face. MyM, Nirvana.China, DK, DTS, thats the teams those teams deserve to be respected and remembered.

Too many mistake by LGD ( especialy getting arrowed from half of the map, simply by not having a singe ward on high ground, or that Sylar fb ), but gotta admit, that pudge is awesome. And Mirana deserves same credits and Pudge. :)

Agreed, these hooks were not anything special. I see some of them were from people who were stun. Dendi, overrated..

I seen more of his skill in some other game, this is just one of his game.
you're not taking into account how bad your mmr is and how that might affect how good the other team is at dodging hooks.
Half of u scrubs saying "nothing special" will never be able to land hooks like that. What makes Dendi the best pudge is his anticipation and his natural ability of knowing the EXACT range of the hook!

I'm not really watching only dendi but the sinergy between him and his team mates. This is not a game of technic guys, at least not completely, you need cooperation and strategy and those guys really are good on it. You all can make supreme hooks with pudge but doesn't mean anything as long as your team can't win the game cause they suck in teamplay.
And let's say it clearly, we all are humans, even this dendi, so not always you can play perfectly plus depends by who you have in front.

actually he played rly good. Its about using brain. sometimes it was just obvious that a hook would be dodged , so he didnt hook. a lot of noobs would just have wasted mana.... dendi knows what he does and a good players would see it even in this game
yeah lots of noobs hookers in pub games wasting mana on bad hooks that never hits.. and when they actually get a opportunity for a perfect hook, they have no mana left..

DOTA hooks seem OP to me. In HON devourer got like half the range.
Not really, Pudge's hook has 1300 range, in HoN Pudge 2.0 has 1100 range, that is ofc both games have the same distance system, wich they should, since HoN is a Dota ripoff.
Dendi is just very good at landing hooks consistently, it can be very hard sometimes!
I don't think pudge will appear on TI4 unless there is some abuse like with the chen, now there is no chen, pudge is too risky to pick, since if he misses the hook he becomes useless pretty much

you actually can still do it with whisp, but not in the same way. Na'Vi made a video about it on their channel, only thing is Dendi would need a refresher orb on Pudge to make it work. So essentially yes no more fountain hooks but it's still possible in theory.
if rubick do not surge pudge he would't be able to kill gyro. so rubick steal surge, he do not have it in cooldown (no trash uses) and he used it as fast as he (1 sec?) understand that pudge want to kill gyro. is this simple and easy to do?
some times they over do it like if dendi do some thing they cheer up and shit and if it done by another player the same shit but different person they just "aha good play seen better " any nothing wrong in being a fan but plz be reasonable

Read the patch notes. The person who gets hooked now goes to place he was hooked from. That means to the space from where the hook was fired, regardless where pudge goes to after that.

look at their navi channel, they have created another way to fountain hook, expensive to do but still works, i dont know if valve have patched it again
