I traveled for business for 15 years. In 2013, I said NO MORE.
I couldn't take one more flight, one more taxi, pack one more bag.
You couldn't pay me to get on a plane.
I love being home. I have no desire to travel.
I've been around the world, and have had my fill.
Home is where the heart is on a lake with my dog.
Same, however I did it from 1989-2002. I’m just now ready to travel again! Have a great day! Keri💜
I just started traveling intensely for work last year. So only about 14 years to go until I get sick of it? Awesoooome
I traveled for work…that is zero fun. Everyone tells you how lucky you are to travel for work. You are never in your own bed, you never have time to actually see anything interesting ( how could you, you are working more than 40 hours in a travel week). Imagine trying to sightsee your home area while working a 40 hour workweek while in your home town it can’t happen so how can that happen away. Lastly eating out breakfast, lunch and dinner while traveling for work absolutely sucks. You only want a homemade meal in your home the entire time. You can go to the best restaurants while you travel for work they say…yeah that gets old quickly. I absolutely tried everything to make it more bearable and I lasted 1 year after that I was toasted.
I understand completely, except I love the islands. I can truly relax on the beach and eat delicious fish and fruit every day.

@bethennyfrankel This is utterly antithetical to your entire brand. I'm not saying the BF brand has some low EQ, but "we get what we get" is anathema to it. Whole idea of the brand is not to accept the status quo. Think about the inspiring impact of your response to aid to Puerto Rico.

My DIL just told her little brother this yesterday while school shopping. Lol “ You get what you get and don’t pitch a Fit”. OMG I never heard this. NOW you said “get what you get and don’t get upset” I laughed so hard. I wish I had told my kids this. It is Gold!! 😂
My kids' kindergarten teachers said "you get what you get and you're happy with it".

I always have in the back of my mind the “packing crate” thing when I travel, but never implement it. Now, I’m doing it. No more undies and bras and socks everywhere! All my tops together! Love it!

I have not traveled one time overseas without losing atleast 1-2 pieces of luggage due to damages. No matter the brand. I think it’s not just the brand. The workers throw them bags so hard. Every-time I know we will have to replace pieces.
So the dents in your luggage are badges of honor…. EMBRACE!

Yeah, prepping for travel ( especially in Europe) is overwhelming.. Getting there is exciting, but too much schlepping from place to place is exhausting.. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved every single trip we’ve taken (especially to France and Switzerland!) but, like Bethany, once home and unpacked, I DO appreciate my home more!!!!❤

Brings and Riley luggage is great. Being a Flight Attendant I know a thing or two about packing . Their Baseline range expands etc depending on how much you’re packing.
I felt this with regard to the day on vacation where you know you have purchased too much and you might need to buy an additional suitcase for the trip home. 😂. Good tip about the suitcase bra, hadnt heard of that. And agree on staying off the beaten path. Anything to avoid the “scene-y” tourist hot spots. Ill do a day trip to those when necessary but prefer a more peaceful setting to call home while on vacation. That lily of the valley place is now on my list!

I’m deceased.
When I travel, I always order espresso, and modify at my table. If I want an iced coffee, I’ll order a double espresso, ice, and cream, and make my own iced latte/coffee. Same with a hot coffee. Ill make my own latte using the cream and a boiling hot cup of water. I can’t deal with watered down coffee, it’ll ruin my whole day 🤣!
People say caftans are old lady clothes, but old ladies are wise. They have worn it all. They know whats good. Shouldnt we all follow their lead?

My husband and I are Cuban and our espresso in the mornings is ESSENTIAL. Whenever we leave Miami, unless we're hitting NYC or Italy, the Coffee Chronicles are a nightmare.

Any aluminum suitcase will get smacked up when checked-in. Baggage handlers can be rough. Try the Rimowa polycarbonate cases in the matte finish (no shiny: it'll drive you nuts). They have a great trunk as well - super practical.
