This game seriously Fucked with me for a month after. So many questions and emotions.
Legit the only videogame which made me cry, and I play video games for 24 years.
I love Mary's voice. Deep and strong. A quiet talent. Voice acting, singing..
And still feminine.
When I was a little kid my cousin and I played this game on the Wii thinking it was just a game about a Father searching for his daughter while scary monsters are chasing you. A decade later I come back and I see it’s much more then that much much more.
I finished the game feeling depressed and sad. I then realized that Harry Mason is indeed already dead and the events that happened to Harry Mason like Harry meeting those monsters, etc are all just Cheryl’s imagination and in the end, she finally accepted the fact that her beloved father is already dead.
The ending made me sad as heck. In my opinion, this ending made this game a masterpiece
This game is so meaningful to me. I love it. I replay it again and again, almost every week. It's just too good.

That is more than that, she figured that he is not the hero that she imagine at all. He have some vices and was just a man. And her mother was not the monster that she imagine too.
i felt so empty and depressed when i finished this game . especially the ending when harry open the door and enter the office and talk to his daughter ! forgive me and turn to ice . i almost cried

Peace Walker is sadder than 3, but you need to play MGS3 before PW, since all the game is about Snake dealing with The Boss' death, and misinterpreting what she wanted.

i'm always here when i'm depressed. This game is beautiful and wonderfully sad. It cut me everytime. Silent Hill is home, Silent Hill is where we can be very happy, maybe or awfully sad.

So relatable, years after years video game industry brings us loads of stories about father trying desperately to find/ rescue his son/ daughter(like Heavy Rain, The Evil Within), only makes me love Shattered Memories even more, cuz how much I know, he won't come here to save me, not in a hundred years.
A dark room, in the middle of the night. A cold, blueish-silver light shines through dirty windows, highlighting barely the surroundings.
A big bottle and a whiskyglass are in the table, all around letters. Greasy, ripped in by time, tears.
An old grammar phone is playing this tune, a person lieing on the sofa, which seems to be a liveseat
Particles of dust slowly fall down, like snow.
This music perfectly sums up my childhood
5 years (2009-2014) of torture and abuse from an evil stepdad who used his position as a cop for his own advantage. Then in 2014, he died in a car accident. To this day, I hated my childhood with a passion and wanted to start a family to basically be a better father.

@@clayton4349 I’m very happy for you. My mom was treated terribly as a kid, (and as an adult too sometimes) for some reason my grandma favors all of her children *over* my mom. And so, she vowed to herself “Im gonna love my children equally”. And she did a pretty good job with 3 kids including me lol. Anyone can truly tell that she favors none, and showers all of us with equal love.
I can't listen to this without tearing up and wanting to hug my father.

One of the most beautiful "Silent Hill" song...
I just replayed the game for the first time in years for a walkthrough. I first played this when it came out back in 2009. I had my brother and two younger cousins over during a blizzard home alone watching me go through the game blind for the first time. That alone is such a memorable thing to me since we haven't done that since. The game is so underrated., Like the rest of Silent Hill, they manage to make a scary, beautiful, and relaxing game at the same time. My cousins sadly left before I finished the game, so I saw the ending alone and I cannot tell you how depressed it made me. It still kills me till this day. I bought this first on the Wii then the PSP version. I wish it came out on current gen. I love Shattered Memories. If you haven't played it but love this song, please do play it. You can watch it too. Even if we don't get another Silent Hill game, I'm so grateful for being alive to play this beautiful series. Enjoy every moment because life goes by so fast.
I still can remember in 2013 dad came home and bought me 2 CDs one was Devil May Cry 1 and The other Was Silent Hill shattered Memories We Played this game with my dad while my sister was watching but I wasn't able to complete the game because my English wasn't good I was stucked in the Computer Room when Mechille Helps Harry to find his daughter by searching on the computer , but many years later in 2019 I downloaded this game on mobile played with PSP Emulator and completed
I Can't Forget this game This Game Gave me family feeling 😭 I enjoyed playing the game , I smiled hearing *I LOVE MY DADDY* ,and I cried watching the end.
Even this is 2020 I'm still searching for this games songs and behind senses.

i think this game is gold, this is one of the most beautiful game ive ever played and not finished yet, i just think this game is extremly beautiful and the best in silent hill series, also one of the best games ive ever played too!, i just completely love this game and this story, shame on konami for this incredible game not having a pc version, someday i will try to finally finish this masterpiece.

Also, in a different tempo, and actually, a very common technique used by Yamaoka are arpeggiating motifs, you can hear in almost all of his works how they start with a melodic motif that most of times consist on a chord played in arpeggios, the main similarity within this and Moonlight Sonata is that both of the initial chords are in the same inversions and of course, they are in a minor scale
Oh, and by the way, key and pitch are kind of the same thing, the main difference is that key is actually in musical terms meanwhile pitch is in physical

This game was such a comfort thing to me while I was grieving my grandpa’s death
I remember I got all the silent hill shattered memories endings iv played silent hill 1 2 3 4 origins shattered memories and downpour spent a lot of time in the tunnels but worth it it was really fun now I'm ready to play as Norman reedus in silent hill 9 but i pre ordered the evil within and it just released today so that'll have to do for now :)
I just want to cry over and over again whenever I hear this song, especially when she says "Faces are changing, but nothing is changing the pain." I also love how it sounds like a lullaby that your parents would sing to you and I'm sure it was done that way on purpose. So sad, yet beautiful at the same time.

My favourite moment might be the therapy session where you are told a story about a princess who dies under unceremonious circumstances. The goal ends up being to chose which of the story's characters are most or least guilty for her death. The twist being that her death hardly has a guilty party. She dies getting trampled by a bull, afterall. Yet, there is definitely stuff the characters, including the princess herself, could've done to avoid the situation getting so catastrophic. In the end, I can never chose which is most guilty. Sometimes I blame the bull and sometimes I put him as the least guilty party.
