I don't care for them but my husband, children and grands love them. I have always used corn meal in mine instead of flour. Your browned up nicely. I think I'll try the mayo and flour the next time I cook them. I hate the smell which stays in your house from frying them too. I love your new channel. Thanks for sharing!
My Gram made fish patties when I was growing up but she used cans of jack mackerel. I was like you couldn’t get past the smell. She always served hers with gravy 😊
My momma made these for me when I was growing up. She passed away last year. Thank you for sharing this. I bought a can of salmon and I’m gonna make them this week. They are so yummy!
I love salmon patties. Our neighbor child would come over and eat with us when we would have salmon patties. He simply loved them. I miss those days. Yours look delicious!
I've made them into meatballs before too and baked them in the oven instead of frying. Also you can season them with garlic and soy sauce and make a stir fry sauce to go along with them and some stir fry veggies! Really good! Honey garlic is always a good pairing I think!
Try this recipe: Tuna cakes 4 cans of drained tuna (with oil) add 2 eggs, saltine crackers minced onions, and salt and pepper. mix well. and fry in very little oil,b because you used the oiled tuna. To me they are so much better, plus tuna doesn't smell as bad .
Loving your new channel Tiff, been watching it from the beginning and your first channel almost from the very beginning . Here in West Virginia we take the bones out leave most the juice in, will you use crackers instead of flour, add salt and pepper. We made these at church camp one year after taking the bones out of 40 cans of salmon I didn't want to make them anymore for a while haha. God bless you all love you
Thank you so much for watching! That means so much to me! Goodness that's alot of bones to get out! I think I would stay away from them for a while too.
Guilty to this day of still saying salmon with the "L" 😂 my grandma used to make salmon patties all the time when I was little. I however do NOT carry that tradition on...some things just need to stay in the past!!! That smell and taste...no way! Love your videos though !
👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️👏👏👏 DELICIOUS DINNER 🍽 YUUMMOO I REALLY ENJOY SALMON PATTIES AND I GREW-UP EATING THE BONES, SO I CONTINUE BLENDING THEM IN AND STILL ENJOY SALMON PATTIES. THANKS FOR SHARING…
I am 67 years young and my Moma used to cook mackerel patties instead of salmon. I make salmon patties every once in a while. I make them differently than you. I just remove the bigger bones and leave the skin and oil they come in. I put an egg and flour and a little salt and black pepper. Yours looks delicious.
I'm really enjoying this channel Tiffany! I've never had salmon patties before and I've got a lot of picky eaters in my house but they did look very good. Thanks for sharing😊
I love seeing how others cook certain Southern meals like salmon patties. Everyone cooks them differently. PS, you can get canned salmon without the skin and bones.
This is one of the meals my mamaw would make. And if anyone else made it. I wouldn't eat it. She has been gone for 14 years now. And I finally brought myself to make it last year. My mama was very particular about the bones. ❤
It warms my heart everytime I hear you talk about your Mamaw since I had mawmaw too who taught me how to cook
Thank you!! ❤️

I bake fresh salmon then make the patty after it cools. Only because the can does smell worse and turns me off from making them. I love them.

That's what I do I get it in the pouches like the tuna that comes in the pouches it's a lot easier 😂

Since only two of us, I use small can that's boneless and skinless. Then continue with recipe.
We eat ours with salsa
I burn candles when I fry mine
I leave most bones. They are full of calcium.
I use mackerel instead of salmon. I'm not a fan of salmon. 🐠
