Excellent video. I enjoyed that very much. They do indeed live 5+ years. Many internet sources will say that they live 1-2 years. My current group of a dozen red racers are all 4+ years old and going strong. They are beautiful snails.
I just purchased 5 red racer’s off a reputable seller on EBay. I paid an additional $30 for FedEx shipping with a heat pack and they all arrived alive. Very cute, I just wish aquarium snails had a longer lifespan.
I have purchased red racer snail today. After releasing them on tank, I’ve noticed most of the time they stay and surface on the glass of the aquarium. Why?
These nerite snails are found in brackish areas which contain salt. Many distributors do not slowly acclimate the snails to full freshwater slowly, causing them to go to the surface. Also could be worth checking all of your water parameters. If your ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ph, kh or Gh are incorrect for them, these could also cause issues.
I have a red racer I got from my local fish store... I just have one question. Mine had a shell that was a bit scuffed up with scratchess and some chips missing off the apex of the shell. Do these heal or repair on their own?
Unfortunately shell erosion/ damaged shells won't heal I'm afraid. Make sure that you are keeping it In a hard water aquarium where the pH is above 7.2

I wish I was in the UK. Looks like y’all have a great shop. We don’t have anything like that where I am in Montana. Keep up the good work!
Thankyou for your kind comment Brian.

Can i breed narite snail with pure freshwater fish tank?
No
Hi Alice,
You cannot breed nerite snails in freshwater.
They might small white individual eggs but they will never hatch.
