Of all the multitudes of beautiful David Archuleta videos on You Tube, this is my very favorite of all. I find myself coming back to listen to this time and time and time and time again. This is an absolute gem, pattirae, and it scares me to think how close this came to never being heard by anyone except those who were fortunate enough to be there to hear this peformance live. Thank you so so so much for sharing it. :)
I pray this video stays right here for the world to see. David knows how to put his heart into the words and let the spirit guide him in sing. I cry everytime I listen. I feel so blessed to have heard and seen David perform Dream Sky High right here! I really hope we all remember to dream that high. Why are there tears in my eyes? My head is hearing that brilliant very young David voice and yet this is adult David absolutely emoting with every single note and every single word. It's a dream come true to hear David now sing Dream Sky High as an adult. It was beautiful when he sang it years ago, and it's powerful & breathtaking hearing him sing it as an adult. "Don't you ignore who you can be~ Soar your imagination" He is completely mesmerizing and he sings each word with so much emotion and passion that I'm drained by the end...happily drained though. I too have longed for David to sing this with his all-grown-up voice. I wasn't sure if the day would ever come...but here it is. And I'm absolutely thrilled about it. I haven't been this excited in a long time! And of course, he sings it with perfection! It would have been such a nice addition to his new album The Other Side Of Down, being in keeping with the theme and everything. He sang this when he was still young. Wow he can still reach the high notes! After puberty, some people's voic changes. But his voice is still purely strong. :)

Now this is the real essence of the David Archuleta. Where did it go? Got caught up with writers who didn't care or didn't know how to work with this voice. Weren't sincere enough to be honest and real with David on what type of music to sing. Literally ignored David's voice to sing with passion and soul just to make a name for their input in writing or co-writing. New album doesn't have much punch as far as soul and passion. David, go back to square one and sing like songs of this caliber.
