Hi. Could you do a video on self-care for dental professionals? Things like stretches or exercises to balance out the physical stress of the work. Or things you do to deal with stress. Setting boundaries around your schedule so you have a healthy work-life balance.
YESSS! great video idea! thank you so much for this suggestion! until then, here is my ergonomics video: teethtalkgirl.com/videos/ergonomics-for-dental-hygienists?rq=ergonomics
(Everyone is welcome) I'm hosting a virtual graduation party on May 6th @7:30pm CT for all new dental grads! RSVP to win prizes!!! RSVP HERE: teethtalkgirl.com/teeth-talk-girl-grad-party
This was really good. I like how you focused on the fact it’s ALL about mindset! Sometimes I get stressed and feel down because I still consider myself fairly new in the field, I work with women who have been doing this for twenty plus years. So it was nice to hear just be yourself be positive and pay attention and the rest will come. Thank you for this!!! ❤️
That makes me feel so much better. 😂 I just started and I ask patients questions about them because I do genuinely care who they are and what they have going on. But I don't have kids. I have a cat. 😂 I'll talk pets all day cause it's what I know. It's not that I don't care about kids, that's just not where I am in my life and my lord do I not want to think about it. 😂 But I've been asking because I know people like to talk about their kids 😂
Yes 🙌🏻 thank you very much for this video. Listen to your patients, actively listen, treat everyone how you like to be treated, be genuine, best way to get through them. ❤️
Even tho I’m going to be a dentist I’ve probably be doing hygiene work. I’m glad I’ve learned listening skills at my previous job as a early education teacher. I have a bold doctor and he’s awesome even tho he’s bold!!!
Thank you so much! Your piece of advice is so great it helps me a lot.👏 Especially to understand the right way to behave and act toward a patient. Dentistry is amazing. I'll do an intership. 😊
thank you!!! and SUCH great questions! I plan to make a video on this soon! because I am SUPER awkward and I use the same phrases over and over to better my interactions! will totally work on this vid :)
Yesterday I had my fillings done - the whole reason I started watching your videos I some how freaked out when I was going in to deep sedation and almost threw up and was screaming. My dad told me this happend I then "*woke*" up during the procedure with them working on a really sensitive tooth (they had to lighten the sedation) and it was really painful and they had to numb it like three times I was struggling to communicate because I was half under half not and my mouth was stuck open with a stick thing. Fair to say I'm glad it's over and done with. I have had MANY operations and this has never happened before. My mouth is really sore today specially around my neck area I know Sedations case by case but Just wondering is this normal?
hi friend! it's generally not recommended to use baking soda due to it being highly abrasive (and can be damaging) to the enamel. always ask your dental provider what type of whitening product they feel is best for your individual mouth! hope this helps!
What do you call an impacted canine tooth that has erupted from the gums but still hasn't shifted into place (meaning it's still sitting up high in my gums, it's just not covered anymore by them)? Also, all of my teeth are completely fine except this one tooth. Is it possible to get braces on just my top teeth? I don't think this one tooth is worth paying the amount of money full braces would cost. I'd love your opinion!

What toothpaste would make my teeth more white?
hi I saw a couple of videos saying baking soda + toothpaste or baking soda + water works for teeth whitening. Is this safe to try out ?
