Nice! It’s a lot of fun definitely I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed shredding around on this one. Very surf skate and cruiser of the past feel
Very very nice direction things are going in. Some things I'd love is TKP trucks, hollows, (as opposed to RKP). Because manual grinds are sketch with the kingpin facing that way. Also smaller wheels. 65mm tops, 50 - 65 region. Secondly experiment with harder durometeres, 90a, 97a, 99 even. I'm talking a transition eskate board. Something purely for the skatepark. I know no brakes with hard durometeres but don't need them in the skatepark. Also truck widths, I hate wheels that stick out. Would be great to have options with narrower trucks where the wheels are parallel with the deck or even just out of sight from above. Currently all the boards the wheels stick out so so far. Battery enclosure, see Bustin Boards, try flat and balanced for grinds on. A kick nose would be awesome too . Love the direction this boards gone in but Bustin and a french eskate company already have equal boards to this. If you want to do something really different experiment with what I said above. Transition eskating is so much fun. Can skate lines you can't on a non electric. And it helps me progress on non electric having a throttle. Speed is your friend on transition. Overall this board looks great just it's been done. Wanna do something different those are the things that haven't been done yet. And a board like that would appeal to transition and street style skaters. The longboard market is saturated. Short, trick and transition board market is barely tapped into. m.facebook.com/groups/electricskate/permalink/1326119141309778/
Glad to see a review on this! Main questions are, what's the top speed and exact battery Ah capacity, can it climb any hills? I'm comparing it to crappy 12-15mph single hub 2ah £150 esk8's for kids... Either way, glad to see a decent kids design from known brands!
Ever since switching to belt drive esk8 I told myself I’d never go back to hub motors. I’m looking for something to get me to the train and the train to work and this seems to be priced correctly and I trust exway with their hub motors. It meets my specific use case but also checking out what’s on the used market for a belt drive equivalent
The NALU has the surf trucks built in, which is a plus already, you can put waterborne adapters in the ripple as well though but that’s an extra cost so it depends on what you want! The sleek design of the NALU is very very nice
Are the hub motors standard size? Is it possible to upgrade it to cloudwheel donuts 105 mm? Would probably have to add risers as well… How much range did you get? I am approximately your weight, Ripple seems interesting to me as a secondary board, for having in my car.
No you’re not able to upgrade the wheels. I said in the review I was getting 5-6 miles of mixed riding. Little pushing. Little speed rips. Just enjoying the ride but its a perfect kind of last mile commute
Travel friendly battery but I’m wondering if you have to remove it before travel. I find you can get away with it more once you see the board separated from the battery. Nice board over all, nice review.
It depends on the airline, all batteries but be carry on, so the bird will be a carry on as well. You have to check with your airline company before travel, and make sure it’s outlined. When I traveled with my exway wave, I even printed out the regulations and kept them in my backpack just for insurance 😂
Hub motors will wear down over time. -!; these new companies has thankfully integrated removable sleeves for them allowing you to swap out sleeves along the way
⚡ *Almost as many waves and Ripples as those recently detected by the James Webb telescope* 👀⚡ Good little board but I wish they went with Hobbywing ESC and at least 80-85mm wheels cos 75mm hub wheels ride a little rocky 😂

This is the review i was looking for. Excellent material, covered and explained to perfection.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the compliment! Make sure to subscribe and stay tuned
That skatepark looks fun! Especially on that board. Perfff!
When you come to the right coast I’ll take you guys
@@DrewElia heck yeah 🤙🤙
Can't wait for my ripple to come in and travel with it! 🤙

I just bought a meepo mini 5 but now seeing your review i feel like i picked the wrong board or my next board. Loved your review man keep it up.
Thanks so much my dude! And the mini 5 is a great board!!!

Looks exactly like the very old Elwing Nimbus.
Glad to see a review on this!

I hit 22mph on this thing which was mind blowing. It’s 99wh with 21700 cells I’ll find the exactly AH and let you know
@@DrewElia thank you, no one seems to know with the battery size!
very useful review . thanks
is it in stock ? ordered one to Switzerland and the shipping ASAP With no specific date 😭
I hope they respond back to you soon!
@@DrewElia thanks ☺️

Hey Drew! what is better: Nalu or Ripple?
The NALU has the surf trucks built in, which is a plus already, you can put waterborne adapters in the ripple as well though but that’s an extra cost so it depends on what you want! The sleek design of the NALU is very very nice

@@DrewElia I must have missed it as I was writing the comment while watching the video. Sorry, my bad. Great video!
Fantastic job, keep it up!👍🛹
Thanks! Helmet review coming soon!
@@DrewElia Thanks, can't wait!
Would the waterborne surf and rail adapters fit on this board?
Yes I believe so,
Travel friendly battery but I’m wondering if you have to remove it before travel. I find you can get away with it more once you see the board separated from the battery. Nice board over all, nice review.
Also, I’ve never rode a hub motor board. The wheels look thin, is that general for most hub motor wheels and will the wear down?

How do you change the settings to increase or decrease the breaking strength shown on the remote?
Hold the remote break and click the button it should shuffle through power strength. The lower one is the lowest setting 4 being the highest
Thanks for the speedy reply. That worked like a charm@@DrewElia
Is the wheel sleeve of Tynee Mini 3 SL compatible with Exway Ripple?
No, two different sizes!
Have a question. Is the board can be connected to the Exway app?
No, they use a different esc the lingyi
Still not sure what to do about wheels. are cloudwheels compatible for this? Considering they will have 159wh version.
I don’t think cloud wheels will work with this system
👍
🫶🏼🙌🏼🤙🏼
Is the battery removable? If not then it didn't seem as ideal for traveling as it could be....
It’s not as removable as the wave, but you still have to carry it onto the plane so leaving it on is fine as well
What about battery sag?
The board isn’t the most powerful and because of the light weight I didn’t really experience any sag. It’s 21700 cells
⚡ *Almost as many waves and Ripples as those recently detected by the James Webb telescope* 👀⚡
Good little board but I wish they went with Hobbywing ESC and at least 80-85mm wheels cos 75mm hub wheels ride a little rocky 😂
😂 it’s a good board. Hobbywing would have been smoother definitely but at this price I’m not going to be upset
OK so was this the True first Esk8 SurfSk8? i really love surfskate and am pumped on the Nalu but wanna know my history!
Ehhhh not surf skate cause it was normal trucks ! But still a gorgeous fun board. More loaded style board
Why are you not talking about the sqeeking wheels? Im able to hear it in your video.
I’m not sure what you’re talking about? I don’t hear any thing from wheels at all 😆 it’s the hub drone sound that’s it? Can you explain?
Hit me up if you would sell this board.
Hello, can we collaborate?
Hello! I just replied to your email!
That pump track looks weird to me.
It’s an add on to an old skate park, they could have smooth it out and made it different but hey it’s there I’m not arguing

Yewwwww 🤙🏼 brother!
