Im adding my comment today 2023. Miss Lupino was an extraordinary Talent. She could do it all write, produce, direct, and above all ACT!! I love to hear her voice and see her Act. She was the BEST !!, of her generation.

It's like there was a Golden Age of TV where the quality was as good as in a Hollywood movie. 🎥

Thank you for bringing back television the way it used to be. Written by a 73 y/o who remembers it well.

I was swept away from 2023 and entered this storyworld so easily! Ida Lupino made Sarah very relatable and sympathetic. I really believed in what I was seeing. That is the magic that happens when good actors make of the story so convincing.

I love Ida Lupino. She's always in a very interesting role, especially for the times. Like this character, she didn't care what it would do to her image (which other stars of the time would have been pretty worried about) she went for it.

Smokin' away in the hospital. Regardless, Ida Lupino's big talent fills out this ep.

Love Ida Lupino. Brilliant woman! I'm also fascinated with how body type, desireability and just plain worth as a human was looked at and measured in this society in the past.

A real life situation dramatized in this show. Months ago a middle aged school teacher very well liked by her students and community went missing. She was an English major &poetry writer and went into teaching taking care of other people's children , many hundreds over the years. But never her own. She remained unmarried and writing her poetry . She hasn't been located and her brother stayed at the small resort town to continue after search parties had given up due to the rugged terrain. It looked to me like she did herself in because she had become severely depressed and found her self unfulfilled. I got confirmation from another school teacher who read my post and agreed wholeheartedly. Ida lupinos character dealt with those issue only in a 1950s scenario.
