We love Paul! We have worked with him for so many years.
Had the honor to play with Paul. What an awesome guy! It was a pleasure to meet him and become a friend.
Always love hearing stories from other sports photographers. Thanks for sharing!
I love seeing the great sports photographers who got the shot back in the day.
Great guy
I agree, the public's tolerance for good photographs has deteriorated over the past 10 years mostly due to cell phone cameras. I see photos on social media everyday that are so bad, sometimes you can't even make out the face. They are back-lilt or out of focus but people seem to tolerate it - even like it. I think it is incumbent on serious photog's to continue to produce great images which tell a story.
so true! How do we change that? The amount of bad photos that get likes and shares... it's so weird. I cannot imagine sharing a pic of myself that was bad, or even liking it. But people will share the crappiest photos. I don't get it.
Gentlemen, I call the apathy of client expectations at corporate events "the Walmartization of photography". A good portion of my business used to come from the corporate & foundation events world, but no more. Certainly guy/gal with a Rebel or iPhone has had an impact.
Great Job Peter w/ my Paulie. The shot you referenced was #18 Augusta National/Masters...it was in fact a cover.....taken by Pittsburgh's own Fred Vuich. The cover was titled "Masterpiece"
RUclips is full of quasi Sports Photographers who give advice but the series from PRM is the only one who is truly a pro and gives good advice.
Yet only 1300 views three months after posting. Makes no sense to me as there is great content on this channel
@@PatsDashcam the 'newb' sports photographers (if we can even call them that) do not know quality photography from a hole in the ground. It's sad.
When you shoot pro sports do you have to pick a sport?
If you work for an agency, you get assigned events, which could be all sorts of sports. If you're a freelance photographer, I guess you can pick what you want to shoot.
The loss of quality photography going onto websites... preach, Peter!! Preach! It's sad that people don't care anymore. Content is content. It's the worst thing that happened to the field of photography.
