This Video is Best Watched with a set of good headphones & the Volume up. 😉 I wanted to make sure it felt like you (The Viewer) were there with us... Enjoy!
Sweet escape...move over Pink Floyd!
Awesome video! Have you ever thought about bringing a drone for some aerial footage? I know they can be noisy and perhaps not allowed in certain areas, but might add some awesome material.
Well done. Thank you for sharing.
Love your channel, keep it up brother!
Good edit. Felt relaxing watching it. Beautiful scenery.
Nice. Thanks. For those of us that don’t have six months, much less six days until we change our life around, of which we will, these little gems are appreciated.
Beautiful!!! Our public lands are a blessing!
Fo Sho! 🤙
It's hard to capture the majesty and grandness of nature. You did an excellent job, keep it up!
The soundtrack fit perfectly to this video. Incredible footage and narrative. Your videos really help during these stressful times.
Anyone else NEED this kind of content right now? Obv been a rough few months, but there is still beauty and goodness out there.
Just barely got back to the wilderness and I've binge watched most your videos. Your tips and advice is priceless especially when it comes to certain gear. Wish you were here giving this type of advice when I was in the Marines 26 years ago.
Great video of a great hike!
At 68yo, it's not the distance or destination any more. It's about the exploring and enjoying the day.
Thanks
A creek full of crawdads means a very healthy ecosystem. Beautiful video. Thank you.
Everyone else in Arizona: "I need a break, I'm going to Flagstaff"
Darwin: "I need a break from Flagstaff" XD
hands down my favorite video of yours. definitely captured the "awe" of it all.
This video is just what I needed today. An inspiration and wonderful distraction from a bad day. Thanks Darwin
Darwin this short film was nothing short of spectacular. I have only been watching your videos for a little less than two years (and all of your PCT thru-hike videos!) but this clearly demonstrates how you have evolved as a beautiful filmmaker, especially when it comes to storytelling, narration, pacing, cinematography, as well as the overall production with your editor and anyone else you have on your team. It's hard to believe a place like that still exists in America, especially when we are amongst our current political and world-wide health climate.
That wall was the newspapers of Native of American ,hiking in to the wood is amazing
Now this is my idea of adventure. Not stressed by time, but available to remain present in the surrounding beauties. Thanks for sharing this. Monk
Glad to see you back on the trail! There is something about going back out into nature, especially after we all have been kept indoors and most parks were "allowed" a good break. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing your info on public lands
One of the best videos yet!!! not about the number of miles. Not just walking on a regularly maintained trail (which understandably isn't always appropriate) but REAL NATURE. Very VERY nice break from the countless gear reviews on RUclips (which are also very valuable too) 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Beautiful!! Looks like you guys had a peaceful trip. Thanks for all the videos Darwin. Hike On
Beautifully captured. That area is wild and gorgeous. There's so much hidden there. You wouldn't even know most of the slots were there from the bottom, but if you canyoneer from the top, they're incredible.
Awesome to see that canyon again. Especially the hole-box-canyon you scampered up into. Did the same in 1974 while at NAU. Caught a 28” brown that won the Ruff’s Big Fish contest that week. Great memories, you did the resource justice!
Yeah, that's totally a reason to protect our lands. Well done. I feel calmer knowing the world still has such beauty.
Yes! This is just the thing you need to start focusing on more throughout the future... rather than just giving people more places to go, informing them on how they can keep exploring and enjoying public lands which absolutely must be preserved. This country will die a horrible death if our wilderness areas are neglected and destroyed, and content creators like you now have a responsibility to inform. Keep up the great work
It always amazes me that all of the hiking shots of the group walking in one direction that you had to go back and grab the camera and then do it over again for the next shot. Great job! This short film brought tears to my eyes
Our public lands are absolutely amazing across the nation. As a wildland firefighter, hiker and somebody who just generally seeks these places year round, I wish more people would recognize the value in protecting them
I have to say I’ve seen all ur videos. This one video is the best one for me. I don’t ever write stuff in comments. This one kept me watching. Just simple and such a great place. Thanks Big D
Thank You... If you enjoyed this style, I would really like the film I made last year if you haven't seen it yet. 😉
Such chill vibes
🤙❤️
Started watching you on the AT and what a treat that you ended up in my home state showing off all its beauty. Yes! We absolutely must protect our public lands! Sometimes, when things are tough, like they are now, it's all we've got to keep us grounded! Thank you!
I love seeing everyone wear almost the same pack, shorts and shoes and use the same tent. It is the same with me and a good friend of mine. Because we hike the same trails, in the same conditions and think similarly we come to the same decisions on gear purchases.
I LOVE Clear Creek Wilderness! I have many fond memories there.
I do too NOW! 😉
What a landscape, what a Film. Thank you so much, ist was awesome. All the best, greetings from Germany
This is one of your best films. Great to see you back out on the trail.
Thank You!
Thank you for taking us along on an amazing hike😎
So blessed to have spent 30 years in NAZ.
It's wonderful how music and video come together to potrait the mother we all share: Nature. Greetings from germany!
Thanks for sharing such a special and unique place with us. Hike on.
Something I've been doing since high school was working for the southeast conservation corps, I hated seeing trails disregarded, mistreated and unloved; there's magic out there, it's up to us to protect it. It's allowed me to work on some amazing stuff and go to some amazing out of the way places like this. If you love the outdoors and want to contribute, see if there's a local trail organization like a conservation corps or a trail group that you can volunteer with. Help preserve the magic in your home states/region.
What a magical place, beautifully shot.
What an awesome place to hike and explore. Plus it's only an hour away from your house!
Great video as always! I really enjoy slower paced hikes, gives you time to take it all in.
Thanks Darwin, your videos have probably saved some people's lives. Keep it up.
Absolutely beautiful scenery.
A pure moment of contemplation. Thank you Darwin.
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️❤️❤️
We are quite Blessed to have so many different & unique locations set aside for Future Generations to enjoy & appreciate. I fortunately live close to Shawnee National Forest which is in Southern IL & the rock formations, waterfalls, & such are just wonderful. Especially when exploring in different Seasons! That spot in Arizona is jaw droppingly awesome! And that Native American Art was WOW! Like the Exit-Intro! ;)
Wonderful job on this one. This is the kind of trip I do primarily, because I have a house and a normal(ish) job where I sit at a desk. Most of my trips are two nights, and pretty relaxed just to get away from the desk and see the outside world. I sometimes feel bad about not being a mile crusher, but I don't have anything to prove. Thanks for taking us along on this very atmospheric trip :)
Once again nice work! Definitely need to advocate for keeping these areas pristine and accessible.
Beautiful area I really enjoy the vibe of this thanks. Our natural spaces are a blessing for sure.
Public Lands in Public Hands! Well done. This is the kind of wilderness and roadless hiking and exploration that I have enjoyed through out my life. Love to hear some more of the bird call and song in the background. Look forward to your public land project.
I live here in Sheffield, England and really enjoy your work! Amazing to see from the drawings on the rocks that many have lived and enjoyed those scenes for generations! Keep doing awesome.
Great video mate. Really nicely edited. That place reminds me of some of the canyons and gorges we have here in the Blue Mountains, Australia.
Well done !
Try parsons spring in sycamore canyon near cottonwood
Lots of water . Pools. Cliffs,
Always watch with headphones on .
You spend the time on the audio and it’s appreciated!
I saw my first Golden Eagle working my way down West Clear Creek. It's a beautiful area, I need to go back.
Darwin , one of your best. Thank you.
One of my favorite places to hike here in Arizona. Thanks for the video!
Looks very similar to the Gila River in the Gila wilderness. Awesome
As a climber, those ledges above the water look incredible to free climb.... Surely inspired me!
Im in AZ and will be in that country this fall.....that canyon is gonna get a lot of love now...
At 1:57 I see the laughing face in the rock. That's a happy soul right there, glad for some visitors.
❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Another well done film. Thanks for taking us on a great adventure.
i used to read through my dads arizona highways magazines and dream of seeing those canyons in person.
breathtaking... even on video.
Was there about 3 years ago. Awesome Arizona spot. Thanks for sharing!!
Stay vigilant! Protect the land from those trying to steal it from us.
Awesome to have a spot like this close to home.
Oh wow. That hike is close to PHX. I am going to have to take a long weekend and explore. It kinda reminds me of Aravaipa Canyon. We are so lucky in AZ. So many amazing hikes and places to explore. Thank you for sharing Darwin.
Just started sharing content and have new appreciation for how easy you make it look. Great photography and editing!
I really appreciate your videos, however this is your finest imo. Exceptional! It struck a great balance between narrative and scenery. The music and pacing was spot on. Thank you!
So awesome, I've hiked that section you did and the "cathedral" canyon area is majestic. Such a great experience. I need to get back up there soon! I fell in love with West Clear creek after that adventure.
Going there this weekend! Found out about this nearby gem because of you! Thanks!
This videos has such a chill vibe. I love it!
Excellent work Darwin...looking forward to your next project...
Loved the feel of this movie. It was more relaxing. The music felt like something John Z would have concocted.
Great stuff! Thanks!
That last line was the best. Bravo!
Aaaahhhh !!! Very beautiful you capture a piece of Mother Nature just a bit of all her beauty I felt like I was there following you and your friends it was so relaxing for me , great video thank you for sharing .
West Clear is definitely one of the best hidden gems in AZ. Sundance Canyon was the slot Canyon you were in. Some people rappel down into there. I’m planning on hiking the whole thing from Maxwell to Bullpen this summer.
This is a great video. The thru hikes are fun to watch for entertainment but these types of public land explorations are way cooler. A while back you did hear giveaways and asked what our favorite video was.....this is mine hands down. The new AT doc should be good since the NY section is in my back yard. Keep on the people power missions. Peace
Thank you so much for doing what you do and sharing your passion for the outdoors. It’s great to go along on your adventures. Keep searching!!
You continually inspire. Thank you for another magnificent visual of our great state!
In the early 80's I lived in Camp Verde, and Sedona. I used to hike and backpack Clear Creek fairly often. It's a wonderful place. Have you ever hiked the West Fork of Oak Creek?
Dude, I LOVE this new style of video making. You are killing it!
Amazing job, I could watch this all day. And that soundtrack. I wish I had the OST to these videos.
Absolutely superb.... everything.... Darwin!! As usual.... the scenery, videography, narration, music, editing..... thank you 🙏🏻
Thank You! ❤️
Honestly one of my favourite videos you’ve put out. Not only did it inspire me but it has a different vibe that I have never felt watching other videos. This is definitely the type of video I would love to see more of. Be proud of this one, it’s truly art!
Loved the starry sky timelapse! Looks like a pretty sweet spot
It was! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Feels good to slow down and just take it in!
Adding candid conversations really adds to these videos Darwin. Love it. 👌🏻
Wow! Amazing!... Thanks for the present.
I was here last weekend in some of the exact spots you filmed. The beauty of this place is incredible and you did the best job of capturing it a camera can. It's so much more awesome in person.
Great video. Just what I needed for inspiration. Can't wait to get out in the wild once our lock-down in the UK as eased a bit more.
Love your editing !! Playing soft music but still keeping the background noises (f.e. you guys walking and talking and all the sounds of nature) makes this video so amazing and authentic.
Beautiful place!! Thanks to your videos I started to explore the nature around my hometown, Vienna Austria. I'm just now learning in what an amazing place I live. I always thought I have to travel far to be able to explore and see great places, but no, it's just around the corner :-)
You live in a really beautiful part of the world. Thanks for sharing the wonderful beauty that is AZ. And not the kind most people think about. Flagstaff is not monument valley or Grand Canyon. And so much cultural history in that area. I stayed in cottonwood at a vacation rental a few years ago as a base for a lot of lovely day trips. Such a glorious part of this earth!
Clear Creek is beautiful! I do miss the harsh rugged beauty of AZ sometimes. Living there for 4 years wasn't nearly long enough for all of the adventures AZ has. Great video!
I missed you there by about a week. Looks like a great trip. Thanks for the video as always.
Used to go there when I was young.
That's an amazing place looks like.
What a gorgeous video; your shots just keep getting better and I love the variety of techniques! Keep it up! Also, I spent a good chunk of years exploring the Southwest but I never made it to Clear Creek; now you're giving me ideas for my next desert trip!!
awesome video Darwin you really did a great job. the beauty of nature is so nice to explore.
Amazing place, great footage, and a certain bittersweet tone as we continue to fight for preservation. We at BohemianAdventurers support your efforts Darwin and we are excited to see the documentary!
That was so great to watch. It’s nice to see one of your shorter trips. I really need to get out to Arizona. It really did sound good with headphones.
One of these days I'll definitely come out to Arizona. There's a lot of nice places that most people don't explore, as they assume everything is desert.
Cool, soulful, refreshing, relaxing, wonderful film. Do more of them!
Please

But, Darwin. Do more
High D., what a beautiful place, also to get some inspiration. It was a pleasure to watch your picture. Kindly Fiete
