Yes D'Angelo is back in full flesh.. and he still got it!! (any negative, none constructive or racial comments will be deleted, stay on topic "GOOD MUSIC") thanks
Great Music indeed.. and i think the music industry needs to take some notes (not that they dont know already), but seriously stop spending all those millions on image and persona, but instead spend those millions on their raw talent :) just a silly suggestion
Enjoy and follow me on songwriterAthyB :)
D'angelo is a musical genius. There's no one in music right now that I'd listen to more. Hurry up D, we need you Neo-Soul brother number 1.........
A lot of people really don't know or understand what it takes to keep a good and leveled head in the industry, this man and many other real artist have all at some point been taken to a level of hating the passion for something that was natural and pure to them, the industry drains you dry of everything you believe is right,it has a way of making it all wrong and you find yourself being portrayed the tragic story, some come through victoriously but at a costly price, and others find it hard to even spell it, so for this man to come back with that passion that he had before all things sour, fighting to remain in his element and not compromising musical integrity, im just thankful i get to see & hear him in his natural element sharing his gift, that we all love. Thank You Brother D'angelo. you are truly a Gift.
Completely understand you. Plain and simple, D'Angelo is one of the most underrated geniuses ever.
SixT9 Amen.
Amen.
profound words ❤️
that's the crowd reacting live to beautiful music they've never heard , amazing
This man is a beacon of light in the present musical darkness...he's keepin' it real in an otherwise unreal & plastic world.
another real performance!!! who else can hold it down like this? prince? do u see what I'm saying? great music real music hall of fame material and artistry....and funky!!!
D'angelo, Daddy Dave and Pino Palladino....nough said
This is real music!! Sounds way better than anything on the radio right now.
It's like a library book this is well overdue

***** hey!
***** all is well! Thanks for checking!
i really hope he comes somewhere near the Illinois state line.......I'm there.....love me some D'Angelo...glad to see he is back!!!!
QUE GRANDE D'ANGELO
D's really got it going. Music the way it ought to be funky, raw and beautiful!
Nice footage! D is channeling some serious Al Green on this one!
Al Green's influence is evident in D stage shows now but not b4. I'm sure Al green is an influence (they share similar voices naturally) but not to the extent of Marvin Gaye and Prince. Those are his two clear favorites and greatest inspiration as evident in his vocal style and production in the only 2 albums he put out. As well as the new music were hearing now. Oh and of course the pentacostal church! Amen
I've been rocking out to the shit for 2 years now. And it's still fire!!
Thumbs up if you saw this amazing legend at Brixton Academy during his voodoo tour.
There's a short interview with D, and some young lady on BET, on here. Interview was recorded after D, had had a chance to jam with Prince ! According to D, this is when he "brought up to Prince that he'd like to re-record, "She's Always In My Hair !"He got the "nod" from Prince !. D's bursting with excitement, as all younger artists would be. The things Prince told him at that jam and since is so much" D will still be writing songs stacking songs back, arranging, etc cetera, FOREVER !
Jesse's playing makes it betta' adds that middle American thang to it I feel D' knows it.
It was an incredible show!
damn cant wait to hear the album version of this, GO D!!!!!!
i NEED his new CD :o i crave it so much!
Is it just me or is the live version, being faster, better than the original? When I say better I mean funkier and God damn jaw-dropping!!!
i like it faster too. i wish it was this speed on the album. but at the same time, something about the slower version on the album is more....hypnotic. i love both
Hypnotic is for sure the right word
you need the comfort of my loving
DAMN I LOVE THE HELL OUT OF THIS JAM MAN!!! D HURRY THE F UP AND PUT THE ALBUM OUT OR RELEASE AT LEAST 2-3 SINGLES, I CANT TAKE IT NO LONGER, U KILLIN ME MAN!!!
Black Messiah !!!!
I hope he doesn't vanish again as he did before!

@frankyb1981 thanks for that.. i had a feeling it was new :) and you welcome!!
Prince all over this one, just like The Charade
Folks constantly compare him to Prince maybe for his guitar licks. But his singing & stage presence strongly channels Al Green for me. And a lil James Brown (but that's where Prince's influence was largely derived). When I view Al Grits live performances from 1973 & 1974, I see kindred spirits. Its kinda weird.
AnnaMaeBullock vocally I can definitely tell his is influenced by Al Green but musically and especially in this song there is a lot of Prince influence. One of D's biggest biggest heroes when it comes to music is Prince
@DLloydisDFG im not sure but i wanna say it's a new one but didnt catch the name of it..
Is this a new song or a cover?
D is definitely trippin, he said he recorded 50 songs for the new album but only wants to put 12 on it, but wat i dont get is why it takes this long to pick out 12 songs and get it all going, im pretty sure all of em are masterpieces, but it shouldnt take this long to pick 12 from the 50 he recorded
People constantly compare him to Prince, and I get it. But I get much stronger Al Green influence from him. It's kinda weird when I see Al's live performances from 1973 and 74. They're kindred spirits of sorts.
good point but you know suits couldn't hear a thing with a gun at their head, that being said, hope they wake up before there is no money left cept for who can show up live and prove/live beyond the digital blitz
D 4 Life
Lucky all you UK cats are
I feel ya, man.
But a lot of great, real music goes unheard today. There are people still holding it down, It's out there, you just gotta dig for it unfortunately.
Hey! Don't put Prince, the greatest of all time in the same sentence as D'angelo! lol Nah, i knew what you meant.
