Normally would use cutting oil if I was doing more then just 1 thread with the tool. Wd40 works in a pinch however cutting oil is what you need to protect the die teeth from overheating. We all know WD40 is not technically a lubricant. However will work as a lubricant for short term uses.
I honestly wish more reviews were real world like this. Thank you, thank you again about the threads needing to be 3 1/2 turns out. I just bought my first house and need to fix the previous owners best intentions.
Just used my old craftsman threader ( inherited from my uncle ) for the first time on black gas pipe. Having never cut threads before I was amazed how easy it was.
Thanks for the much needed review i love the humble professionalism you displayed here i definitely can benefit from this kit wish you and the boys the best God bless you all
I just picked up a klutch brand set from Northern Tool do to my replacement dies for the threading machine that also came from Northern Tool has been on back order for 4 months we just need a Rigid 300
I read that somewhere else today and did it. One turn in and 1/2 turn back. I think it helped a lot. It was my first thread, so I was looking at how to and found this video. It was helpful. I bought the HF for $80 and it will last me the rest of my life no more than I will need it.

Thanks Man
Good review right to the point. Thanks.
Are you not supposed to break the chips with a quick reverse spin every so often?
You can feel the resistance and when it gets to a point reverse and break away the metal shavings..
