yep it's now more strategical, i won a run using it with lost, I spend all the lives of dead cat, but I get beat mother. (it's worth to say that I have spear of destiny too, but the point is that can be usable now)
damocles is an instant kill unless you are literally invincible (book of shadows, chariot card, tooth and nail etc) it's why you can dodge it with the i frames with how to jump or suplex

Not really. I got it on t Maggie to mother and the heart made most of her attacks stupid hard to dodge. My damage wasn’t high enough to vaporize her, even with the hugs, and I’m pretty sure I would have won without the heart
Not only this item is a run killer for Tainted Forgotten, but it's also for Tainted Jacob, because the heart tends to get too close to Dark Esau since both follow the same path right behind Jacob. It just makes Dark Esau much more likely to turn Jacob into The Lost and, in tandem with the heart, pretty much guarantees Jacob's death from everything else...
Jes because you could not use blood donations and devil beggars for free in the challange in ab+.so its basicly just the buffs which affect the challange.
The item is still bad It just doesn't instantly doom the run if you get it curse of the blind imo Maybe if you get used to playing with it you can make it work... But some rooms are just garbage with the item

I'll be honest I miss the immunity stuff this item could do like blood rights for easy wins it felt like it gave the item a purpose now it's not horrible but it isnt great either.
i hate feeling like the only way an item is useful is for stupid cheese strats. isaacs heart may not have the potential for easy wins now and its not like S tier but at least its worth picking up sometimes and has a legitimate defensive application. id take a consistently fine item over a terrible one with a single game break synergy any day - makes me feel like my wins are more deserved, without getting screwed over by terrible items like the pre nerf heart

Scroll all the way to the bottom and there should be a file called options. The options file is a .ini file. Look for a line called "MaxScale" and change the number. I use "MaxScale=3" which should look pretty similar (if not the same) to what you see in this video.
What made it even worse is the fact they nerfed it, it was already a horrible item but at least you could play blood donation things infinitely, now it works differently, is still shit and lost the ability to play blood donation things infinitely...
It sounds viable on paper, but in practice, you rarely are able to make it through one floor with this. The contact damage is nice, but most times, the enemies will come from multiple sides, or just push you back around before the dmg can kill them. Now, if the heart was controllable like ???'s only friend, you could put it safely in a corner and, unless there's a bullet hell going on, you will have a chance.
You can control it tho, it always goes behind where you're firing, plus the knockback it provides is just butter bean on steroids, if you can get used to it it's op

Heart is better, what it isn't is the fact that a lot of the new rooms in repentance are filled to the brim with fast enemies, tons of tears or even worse, the grudges in Mausoleum/Gehenna, i still pick it since I wanna get better with it and play more defensive, but dying by cheap shots and game bs like spiked rocks is just yikes...
this just makes tainted forgotten even worse, cause you dont get invincibility on your soul and dont get contact damage, while adding a hitbox to your bones. feels like that should be fixed or something

Isaac's Heart + Tainted Maggice will probably carry like 80% of your run. Because you still have lethal hugs and now you are imnune to contact damage.
