My first subscription and first time commenting on RUclips. Thanks for the video. No crazy music, clear explanations and information even though you had a hard time trying to film while you were doing the actual removal and installation. Great stuff.
Awesome video .. I just got a P0455 - P0442 - P0456 .... I replaced the Gas Cap & Also the Evap Solenoid.. it got rid of 2 of the 3 codes... Still have the P0455 ... I will be looking under the Jeep Today for rusted lines...
Damn once again I got the same problems. Gas cap today. Pulled of positive terminal for 2 hours to reset cpu. Ran great for 30 minutes then died. Again. Checking this next. Much love 💘. End of video was awesome!!!!
A gas cap and the line isn’t going to cause it to die unless it’s severely compromised and clearly broken and visible. Just because it’s rusted on the outside, doesn’t mean it has holes or is broke
Don't know what the weather was like for you, but, taking the other car out and centering your Jeep in the garage would help you. Also, lifting or adding a standing a light to help you. Small tripod to hold either the phone or camera itself.. GREAT JOB!!
Do 2 of the 3 lines go to the gas tank? I followed my line back and a different line is connected to it where this ones supposed to go and i cant find where the line is supposed to connect.
I have the same code PO456 on my 2000 Cherokee classic. The only problem with this video is that you never said whether replacing the line was the fix, and after the codes were cleared, whether they came back or not. So, thank you for the video, but I still don’t have answers I’m needing.
Here’s the link to where I got the fuel vapor tube from: www.oemmopar.parts/oem-parts/mopar-fuel-vapor-tube-52100162ae Looks like it’s unavailable now so I’d try some different websites to see if anybody has it. And I believe I got the gas cap from quadratec
Did this fix the problem , I suspect I’m having the same issue. Shop keeps telling me it’s gas cap and 3 gas later still got check engine with same code
Hey I have a 2001 jeep chrkee sport as I'm driving it turns off so I turn the key off and start the motor it will run just fine it tell it does it again so what do you think my issues will be
@@KCars my 2001 jeep chrkee spot. As I'm driving my jeep it like some one turned off the power so I turned the key off and then back on again it fires right back up and running again intell it does it again and I do the same thing so what do you think the problem might be
Does this cause the car turn off while running? Mine turned off and turned back on and the turned off again and never got it running but the only codes is the p0455 and p0740
Looks like p0740 has to do with the torque converter clutch circuit so probably wouldn’t cause it to turn off but it’s quite possible the evap issue could do that
I can’t remember the exact website but I would just search the part number on google or Amazon and it’ll show up. I mentioned the part number in the video
Can’t get the tube from anyone. Used a new rubber tube from gas tank all the way to canister. Takes care of issue. $ 8.00 gas line hose to the canister.

Unfortunately rust is a big problem with these old Jeeps, gotta love em though! Thanks for watching!
Ya I did the exact same thing and the light still coming on. I’m going to replace the canister and the evap detection pump filter.
You did great with you filming and explanation. Glad it worked out.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
You can also replace that metal line with 5/16 rubber fuel line and never have to touch it again. Cheaper and much faster than the metal line.
Yup That’s an option too
just saved me $60 my friend. Good man
Keep making videos dude. I Enjoy the content
Thanks! Any video suggestions?

Take a drink everytime he says "go head" 😂
😂😂
Does that go to the tank at the back of the jeep, thanks
solid! overnighting the line and getting it in there 🙌🏾
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Where did you find one?
So where did you purchase that evap Vapor line from exactly? To bad Amazon doesn't have it im going to check rock auto now
I can’t remember where exactly I got it from. Might have been a mopar parts website
@KCars thanks man I appreciate it. And great video very educational
@@dblaelectrical3106 thanks for watching!
Do you happen to know the part number for that hard line?
Mentioned in the video, 52100162AE
Well done!
Thanks!
Will the p0455 code clear on its own after I replace the fuel vapor tube
Mine cleared on its own but if not you’ll just have to manually clear it and then watch it to see if it comes back
Finally getting to this soon
Sweet!
Where did you buy the fuel vapor line
Buymoparpartsnow.com
please share the links of the parts, i have 2000 jeep cherkee xj with the same problem.

Yep this fixed the issue for me. Check engine light went away by itself
Gas cap never really fixes anything
I swapped that line on mine but code didn’t go away, so I guess I’ll try to reset the code and see if it comes back..
Good idea
@tomato1224 did it come back

Descender unit is a problem when off roading. Check
