    Thank you for showing the shinto shrines, buddhist temples and the interview with the good-hearted pastor. I appreciate that you show the culture of the place you're visiting.

    The pastor was fun. I loved the contrast of his calm interview and him standing with a microphone trying to bring Jesus to random people. So different from where I live. Imagine having that life goal of going on a mission for your deity, and living in that magical world. I do envy that on some level.

      In Germany we consider people trying to force a certain religion upon you, unpleasant folk (and that's by far the friendliest way to describe them)

    • @98Zai
      @98Zai 3 месяца назад

      @@smallego8068 Agree. But the worst thing about proselytizers is that most religions don't send people unawares to heaven or hell. They just vanish. But as soon as you hear the gospel or whatever, you've sealed your fate. In a way they are condemning everyone they don't also convert to hell by proselytizing. Morally, it's detestable.

    Dustin, I am loving the "abroad" episodes!! I love learning about other cultures, their history and food. The pastor was delightful. What a blessing to stumble across his path. As an American, I am shell shocked by the difference in affordability dining out. I went to get Sushi this weekend with my daughter. We each had one roll, Miso soup (included) and ice water. $60. total. 😳 You got all that gourmet for for $12!!! 😭 That's it. I am moving to Japan!! Love you man! Glad you are safe and well and back home now.

    The visit to Japan, learning about the rest of the world & respecting their culture. Here in America, we don't have the fortune of having visitors or residents respect or learn about the culture. They like to bring their own & change it. You made one very interesting comment, you're not religious don't need to be. You need to have a good heart and care about others & help when needed. Another great destination!!

    I cannot express how much I've enjoyed this...and last week's videos! I lived in Japan from 1961 to 1964 (my pop was stationed at Atsugi Naval Air Station). My whole family was able to revisit Japan in 2018...and it was just as delightful and beautiful as we remembered. The shrines and cemeteries were some of the most spectacular "old Japan" spots to visit. Sadly, I am not a videographer. So, being able to see the videos of the places you visited was nostalgic in a way that I can't describe. I am curious, what month were you there. It looks like the fall...maybe November? Regardless, Japan is delightful any time of the year. Thank you so very much!!!

Does this old pastor wanna be Mr Ballen or what? Kidding it was super interesting!!! You always meet very interesting people that I could just sit down and talk to for hours… Downtown is neat and food looks good. Have you seen their chicken and dumpling? Theirs is very sloppy made compared to ours. If you haven’t seen, just take my word for it!! Thanks again for the great video. If you need anybody to carry some stuff like cameras or anything. Forty years ago I was a 21 year old traveling to Tokyo for the Summer to stay with my college roommate's family, culture shock. That beer brought back memories of The Hub in Shibuya, well the first few hours of being at the Hub that is. Had many experiences of out of the way places to eat and drink in the city, one BBQ place had whole Swallow on a skewer...head and all charred to a blackened crisp...lolol So much fun!!
