Lol I forgot about this one.
So not bad muscle memory. Just bad memory.
First thing I noticed when the drinks were brought in, was the match with Ryan's shorts.
These two channels are some of the most refreshing guitar content out there.
The technical knowledge of Colin or the and the thoroughness/diligence of Ryan are great on their own, but these two dudes seem like some of the most fun guys out there. Both channels are hilarious
Love video!🌞
You guys seem to be having a blast! I think the island is awesome itself but having a bunch of mates there makes it a really great time.
Enjoyed that and so true. One thing I do is to use a mode, say phrygian, in a few positions, then build chords around each position. Forces you to think.
Ryan seems in dire need of abottle of Factor Dufflecoat sunscreen.
unaware, aware, plan, try, modify, try, adapt, try, change.
I grew up in tropical heat. The humidity, in particular, destroys guitars. Corrosion of metal parts is off the scale and worse, wood warps and glue unglues. Everything gets mouldy and electronics die. Give me cold and dark any day.
I was shocked by how quickly the strings and other exposed metal on those guitars corroded in that heat and humidity.
It's unsurprising why there is a big modding scene in the Philippines to upgrade frets to stainless steel. Nickel just doesn't stand a chance.
This is a staggeringly good conversation. I know that a lot of the noodling I do defaults to a lot of similar keys, chords, voicings, rhythms etc. And despite working to expand my vocabulary and incorporating that into the noodling it doesn't expand the word count just changes the words (if that metaphor still tracks.). Bizarrely the ways I can break out of that are antithetical. 1: play something that catches my ear by accident & build upon it with intent 2: Plan the chord sequence before I play a single note. But even still, it's quite easy to default to the old faithful stuff or, in the case of first impression demoing, fumble around like a rank amateur hoping for a good bit to happen. Again great conversation I wish was discussed more & as openly as Colin & Ryan are doing here. Presumably the Tequila had something to do with that.
Hey Collin just subbed up Glenn Fricker recommended you 🎸🤘
Lovely B-roll.
It must have been beautiful there.
4:33 bahaha bahahah bahaha
"Are YOU playing guitar wrong?" -- yeah mate, I'm not on a bloody tropical island!
Every time I play a pentetonic scale noodle, I force myself to do hindu scale, dominant or isen scale just to spice things up, but to be honest. The reason why I started playing guitars (for 14 years now) was because I wanted to have fun, not to be too serious. Then and then I force myself to learn more.
Dont get too crispy boys!
Comparing skills - you guys are better at picking guitars than paddling outrigger canoes - so, sing for your supper, you'll never take it from the sea...
I've never been in a paddle boat in my life until that moment. I don't know anything about boats.
Oh, that's clear 🤣 - love the vibe - everything is better, on the islands ✌😎🎸🤙
This whole gastaway thing must be what it’s like to follow people in one of those RUclipsr houses, but like, all the time. Guitarist RUclipsr house when?
5 more minutes in the sun and Colin would turn the same colour as the guitar.
If only my brain knew how to play guitar, i could find more meaning in this. I have zero music theory background.
Great location, good colab, good topic.. The forced laughing killed it for me. Not every conversation needs a laugh track... ditch the fake you tube enthusiasm and this kind of thing could be a thing. I think you both have enough knowledge and skills to explore more topics but man... leave the laughing to us please.
...that's real laughs man, this is what we're like off camera too. We have fun and enjoy talking to each other.
I'm sorry your life is so devoid of joy that you can't tolerate genuine emotion.
Haha no I don't like his nipples. That one really made me laugh. Now Collin would be a different story.
I’m still confused as to why someone would ever leave that place.
Henning: time to pack we need to have the boat ready At…
Me: I’ve already applied for a position here, I’m staying.
The heat was unbearable and the sand fleas were crazy itchy - that doesn't come across so well on camera.
@@ScienceofLoud my suit protects me from temperature fluctuations and parasites , I’ll take my chances.
Not sure how guests will take to having a Sith Lord clean there room and deliver meals but whatever I’ll be livin in paradise, it’s way prettier than my cold grey moon.
Considering Ryan is ginger (ish) and Colin is Scottish, you're both happy in the sun.
I wonder the price tag of reserving that island
Not as much as you'd expect when split between 10 people for a 2 week stay, it's honestly very reasonable and cheaper per night than hotels in the UK I've stayed in.
See for yourself: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/5153819
@@ScienceofLoud thanks! Btw I love your channel!
It was like $120 per person per day. The flights weren’t cheap though.
@@60CycleHumcast that's unbelievably cheap!
Why don't you consider using the modes you'll never run out of ideas
Wait. AIR CONDITIONED homes?
Dang uppity folk....
Ryan lives in California.
I do not have air conditioning.
@CSGuitars you live in Scotland, its called opening the window
Is Pauly a secret billionaire?
He wishes 😂
Dude, please don't ruin your hard earned holiday with work. Enjoy your off time by _not_ working for a bit.
Um, it's called playing with feeling, boys. Go listen to some Blues....
I can play with feeling and still play nothing musical. Feel is just inflections, and you can inflect the fuck out of garbage.
90% of blues is played without feeling. The players just play over-familiar and cliched pentatonics whilst making odd faces. They then gatekeep ‘playing with feeling’ for other guitarists
