    This is one of the clearest and most concise demonstrations I've seen. I had a lot of questions at the beginning but all were addressed. Thank you, I'll be constructing something similar for my current project.

    I have a similar build using the XR18.
    In my Rack I have the;
    - XAir XR18
    - HA6000 6-channel headphone amp
    - x2 ULTRALINK MS8000 microphone splitter (to create "Isolated split")
    - Furman M-10XE Power Conditioner
    I would have preferred to have the X32 Rack (because of Dante & Channel count), but due to budget and availability, I had to go with the XR18 (and I was lucky to even get that cause they were all sold out 2 hours after I purchased mine).
    I remember when the X32 Rack was £700 during a sale a couple years ago, and I remember thinking "I don't currently need this now, so I'm sure it will be on sale in the future". The X32 Rack is currently £1,249, and has never dropped since.

    i have an X32 rack system including the headphone amp. I feed the amp inputs with the AUX (1/4 outputs) and save the 8 XLR outputs for other purposes. Simple.

    Hey Michael,
    Danke Dir für das Video, hat mir sehr geholfen.
    Ich habe zwei Fragen:
    1. Was für einen Router Du für dein Rack benutzt und ob Du mit diesem zufrieden bist.
    Ich will mir für mein Rack einen zuverlässigen Router anschaffen der auch in größeren Venues und Outdoor problemlos funktioniert.
    2. Machst Du die Kabel mit Kabelbindern an der Seite des Racks auch mit dem 3M Dual Lock fest oder benutzt Du dafür etwas anderes?
    Vielleicht hast Du einen Tipp, beste Grüße. (:

    • @michaelseebass
      @michaelseebass  Год назад +1

      Der Router ist ein älterer TP Link Router, das genau Model weiß ich nicht. Es ist ein regulärer WLAN Router, zufrieden bin ich schon damit. Man sollte generell bei einem solchen Rack darauf achten dass man stabiles zuverlässiges WLAN hat.
      Die Kabel im Rack sind mit "Cable stand offs" befestigt - sowas in der Art: www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B08RMS5H25/ref=sr_1_19

    I can easily get 6 stereo in ear mixes using the xlr outs and 1/4 inch outs on the x32 rack itself right? Do I understand it correctly that outputs(xlr) and aux outs (1/4inch) work the same way (Granting I use TRS for the 1/4 inch outs of course), just different plugs?

    • @csabislezak8485
      @csabislezak8485 Год назад +1

      Absolutely, we use it now as 5 stereo IEM + LR. But keep in mind that you have 16 busses on the X32, effects involved, so with 6 st inears + 4 FX sends you reach the limit

    Does Dante expansion card increases input channel of X32 rack??

    • @michaelseebass
      @michaelseebass  2 года назад +2

      Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question fully. A few things:
      - Dante does not expand your channel count. With the Dante Expansion Card in the X32 your X32 still has 32 channels. Its just a different way of getting input (or output) into the board. You can basically select for each channel (or groups of channels) if you want to use the XLR input or Dante input
      - you can send every Dante Input also to FOH, regardless of what you do with it in the X32.
      One question though, how will you get your signals into the Dante network? Do you have a dante-capable interface or a breakout box or some Dante-stagebox?

    How do you not step on and damage 16 xlr cables coming into the front of this rack, or the xlr input jacks themselves? It seems like you need to manage this with some proactive protection method.

    • @michaelseebass
      @michaelseebass  2 года назад +1

      We put the rack to the back or side of the stage, where no one walks in front of the rack, so thats not really an issue. If we wanted we could put the S16 at the bottom of the rack (I prefer the power outlets there though)
