With all due respect... It's been bound to happen, being that a Daban Models instead of an original Bandai one. Not that this doesn't happen to the Bandai MG Avalanche Exia, it just happens less.
True, but I still refuse to get the Bandai version as it’s still have the soft legs/feet problem. I may wait for myself to have money to enjoy a good metal build version
@@zethythonix maybe, and maybe not, because, as far as I remember I got 2 MGs Exia, one bought when the production was on first run (the standard MG Exia), and the other barely a few months ago, and the plastic for the inner frame feels... Different. Sturdier, solid (for the ignition mode accessories) and all that jazz. With that in mind, it'll still be unable to use the Avalanche accessories, but it'd mean you'd need to tighten a bit less. Recommendation: if you are to tighten an area, I'd go for the polycaps, since those are the most prone to loosen up and also I'd use cyanoacrylate, because, when solidified, it has a lower erosion rate than the polycap itself. Allow it to dry for 2 days and you're good to go.
Since you didn't enjoy exia don't bother with Astrea(hobby star) its the same sanding and tightening problems just more painful parts most notoriously for me the head too tight, too brittle, too much excess plastic for fitting, need to glue for specific version. I'm enjoying the challenge, but not the consequences of my mistakes. Normally it would be easy fix, but I had to sand, chip, and drill to disassemble the leg frame.
The extra runners are actually parts for the other versions of Exia. I'm not sure why they never advertise this but this kit is actually a 5 in 1. You can build it at Exia, Exia Repair 2, Exia Repair 3, Avalanche Exia and finally Avalanche Exia Dash. I've built all three 3rd parties for this. Daban has the most unique style, Dragon Momoko is the smoothest build and Hobby Star has the best part separation (too much in my opinion).

With all that weight I'd imagine a kitbwith that much fitting issue would be a hassle, but how does the base exia without the avalanche dash gear hold up? The ankles are soft but with only its original gear, do the soft ankles hold it up well enough?
Hello, is the frame for the kit the same as the original bandai exia? I see a few metal frames being released, was wondering if they are compatible with this kit. IF they share the same frame then they might be compatible minus some of the avalanche specific parts. Otherwise I want to at least use some of the repair parts on a regular exia kit if they share the frame so I don't have to buy another avalanche kit just to build those.
1:35 I think the logo got removed because you got the bad copy from the batch. I mean that most daban products are dependant on the "luck" of your batch since most (local) stores in my area got the whole box and the logo for the stand. So yeah, it's unfortunate you get one. btw, since we're talking about avalanche exia, are you gonna purchase the one that Hobby Star made?
