That beats my Pampered Chef pealer! I'd be willing to carry that big ol peeler up from the basement anytime!! They don't make things like the old timey days for sure.
I was around ten years old when I saw my grand mothers apple peeler and corer. The same one as yours. I'm now 65. Its wondaful when old things become new again.
A marvel! I love seeing the great technology history. No plastic parts and still works better than the new stuff after all these years! Thanks for sharing!🤗
That is one fine apparatus! It is a treasure! Built to last and works too! Thank you for sharing. I hope you get many years of apple and pear pealing Justin.
Howdy Justro- I don’t know who the feller was that figured that peeler out but he was a way yonder smarter than I am. That works slick as a button. Never seen one like that before. Thanks for sharing this. Hope y’all have a great weekend. God bless
That's awesome Justro I love how the old stuff was made to last a lifetime. I remember the Piccadilly restaurant good places to eat. That thing will save you alot of time. Love apple butter on a hot biscuit 😋. Keep up the good work and God bless you all
Enjoyed the fun fact Friday Justro. Ive seen allot of antiques but I've never see one of that type of peeling machines. Its very well built. Yall have a blessed weekend.
I remember my family going to the big mall in the city to the Piccadilly cafeteria on the weekends sometimes, especially when my grandparents were visiting, it was next to the hickory farms cheese shop. What wonderful memories you reminded me of Justro, thank you so much!
It’s amazing to think how the men that engineered this machinery minds worked! I love this kind of video Justro, thank you for sharing! You did a great job with the closeups and explaining this in perfect detail!!!
@metcalfmills5679 I am grateful that you have the blessed gift of teaching and explanation. You make complicated very simplistic and understandable. If it were left to me to explain how this works, I'd say, "Supernatural mystery... But it works excellent". Haha
That is one smart machine, the fine quality, workmanship, and efficiency just blows my mind,,amazing machine,,,great helper..awesome thanks for sharing that with us!
WOW… What a Fabulous Peeler you have … You know, you have made us As want one of those !!! Thanks for Sharing … Can’t wait to see the Canning Video of your Pears. Liked that New Haircut. Until the Next One 😉💞
Could you imagine what it would cost to build a machine like that now. It's amazing all the different processes it does with just gears and cams. Thanks for sharing.
Great tool for the job! Perfect this time of the year. My Nana made apple dumplings and butter most of the time. She had a favorite paring knife that she used like a Samaria (sp) warrior.😆 Thank you for bringing all these interesting facts and information. Have a good weekend with your sweet girls, Justro. God Bless💕
That's one phenomenal apple peeler machine! And special cause it still works great at 100 years old. Imagine the people that used it that are gone now?
That's amazing. Thanks for showing us all of the intricacies. I've never seen anything like it. You're blessed to have it to save precious time. I hope there will be homemade pear preserves in your future. And my mouth is watering just thinking about apple butter.
That works great , we always pealed and cored ours by hand When I was a boy at home. Great memories but your right it did take a lot of time. Thanks Justro. I loved the video , I love watching old machinery of any size work.
Justro you've got a jewel of a peeler right there Buddy. That means we'll get to watch alot more RUclips and Eat more Cornbread now 😋. Hey could you run the peeler on RUclips Shorts? Thanks for Sharing Friend, You Folks have a Good Weekend 🙂.
@@metcalfmills5679 Yeah, I got my old corn sheller out this morning to shell my seed corn for next year. Worst year we have had in S.E.LOUISIANA in many years. But there is always next year as long as both my feet hit the floor. Miss canning pears, all the trees got the blight and died.
Oh I love that old machine, why the heck did they reinvent it and take out some of the best features. The newer ones don’t pop the core off and it’s hard to remove 😏 they also added a slicer, which is nice but not adjustable and it slices them really thin, too thin when canning. You got real lucky to inherit that beauty !!!$ Blessings Shirley from Minnesota 🥶
That thing is amazing. Thanks for sharing. I've got an apple peeler I bought at Granddad's Apple near our cabin in Hendersonville. Doesn't work nearly as well as yours.
I have a little new one. Not nearly as impressive as this one, but it sure does save time making fresh apple pie or getting apples cut up to dehydrate. Mine cuts the apple into spirals then I can cut down the center with a knife and get nice thin wedges. I have difficulty getting my fruit centered most times, though. Still worth it.
You may be able to use the peelings and cores to make jelly. what do you think? So glad I found this channel back in the spring and look forward every video. Thanks for your time and knowledge and most of all your kindness and spiritual manor.
Good video. That is a good looking machine. It is amazing of the engineering that was done on these machines and they were built to work and work and work. Two questions: saw the grease fittings. Do they make a food grade grease or would you use just regular grease gun grease? 2. Is the peeling blade changeable? God bless you brother
The peelings are very thin, making less waste. If I were peeling the apples by hand, after a lot of apples my hand gets tired and the peelings get thicker.
Considering all of the engineering that went into the manufacturing of that peeler, it’s a testament to innovation. Way beyond my pay grade.
It is a marvel for sure!
Me too!
It's brilliant!
That beats my Pampered Chef pealer! I'd be willing to carry that big ol peeler up from the basement anytime!! They don't make things like the old timey days for sure.
No they sure don’t!

This is an exact model of an original Goodell Bonanza apple peeler. They worked exactly the same way, I wonder which one of them came first.
Good question! I would like to know
This would make cool RUclips shorts video too. That machine is a great piece of history…..not to mention really cool! Thanks Justin
Thanks Melly. I may do that

While I was watching this video my wife comes through the house and says oh boy there’s another piece of equipment you are going to have to have lol.

That is a gem! So creative AND effective . . . I'm looking forward to hearing more about your mills, though . . .

I'd love one of these non-electric machines. Too bad America doesn't still do this sort of quality manufacturing.
Yes it is
I've seen the little peelers work and I thought they were neat. I ain't never seen one like that. Thanks for sharing Justro, that was cool.
Glad you enjoyed it Steve!

Well heck I’d pick apples and pears just so I could use that machine. Lol
That is a big encouragement Daniel!
Goodness gracious I needed this when I did my apples this past fall. My apple peeler is nothing like that.
It is a blessing at peeling time

Well could be!

Yep, Pease Co
That is nice. Would love to find one

That old peeler will last another 100 yrs plus! They certainly don’t make good ones like that anymore.
It sure will and no they don’t sadly
I sure do like this Pease #25 apple peeler. I'm also pretty sure I was born in the wrong generation...lol

That would cost a thousand dollars now if it was made in the USA.
I wouldn’t doubt it!
Um
