I think that there is another "villain", a suprising one. Pixlriffs.
In his last video, he tell Sausage about his theory with sleeping and logging off connected to GeminiTay. He cleary pointed Sausage to be suspicious about her. Then they went to Dawn and talk to Gem. And there was a moment, that make me thinking. When they all started to talk about secrets, Pix sayed to Gem: "Sh... play along, Gem. Play along." Just like he saw her confusion and for a moment he broke roleplay to get her on trail, because he knew, what is going on out of character.
There are another things, that are pointing towards Pix being a mastermind of Empires. He states, that this season he will be more of a Game Master than a player. And we can see that, when we is pointing others towards scene (like I describe above), or when he sugest, that Riff maybe can be activated by a whole band of musicians (setting another scene), or when he is buildings dungeons and creating a stories for others. And look on festival - he didn't put there his own thing, but he make sure, that everything else is working. And he is not roleplaying a lot, actually almost none.
Conclusion: Pixlriffs isn't a character on the server. He indeed is a Game Master (he don't have to be villain tho). A Game Master that designed this world for his player, backstories for NPCs, and is preparing scenes and stories. Why I sayed player, and not players? Well, there is only one person other than Pix, who know, that she is only roleplaying. GeminiTay. She is a player, and Pix is preparing world for her, while others are just NPCs. Or maybe a people, that Pix kidnapped from another realities, so they can full his empty world?
In this theory, Hermits can be a guests, a real humans, since they know Gem and they aren't much into roleplay. And hey, they seem to know Pixlriffs from RUclips, interesting, huh?
Or Hermicraft is, as well as Empires, just a world made by some powerful being(s), who work together with Pix! I don't know!
That's a really good theory I just have a head cannon that Jimmy is the same Jimmy from season 1 because of we never gone end really this season 1 Jimmy and I really want him to have it ending so I just made up one of my head that they are the same person

That's a really interesting theory! The idea of them being real people kidnapped from other dimentions would explain how some people, like Jimmy remembers Tango, Grian, and others. Maybe he was taken from a world where they were playing together, such as double life, so he remembers, but people like Scott or Sausage weren't.

If Gem really is a chaotic individual trying to incite a war of the gods or something like that, maybe it's because, as a celestial entity, she was once one of the gods or angels, but was banished and now wants to get revenge against the gods

I am honestly surprised you didn't talk about Empire False because some weird stuff has been happening during her last video.
The detective style is so cool, also Bdubs being the one who broke the rift makes some sense because he was the last one who used it and we know he has some form of power since he is a 'god' now
Bdub’s no longer the last person to crossover into Empires as of today Ren has appeared as well; which makes it seem that the rift is only inactive on the Empires side still allowing others from the Hermitverse to crossover.
@@Garanseho that maybe true but Ren was able to crossover so the rift must’ve been still active on the Hermit side after it supposable became deactivated on the Empires side. And that’s why Ren awoke in the tomb of lost kings after crossing instead of coming out the other side because the rift was no longer active on that end.

I think that since the rift was to weak to stay active on the Empires side it had to find another way to transport Ren safely so it merged him with Empires version of himself. Unfortunately that other version was dead and lied to rest in that unmarked tomb; which is why Ren woke up there. This could be a huge piece of lore in the story, perhaps Ren (in the Empires Universe) is the evil king that Mythicalsausage has been running from all this time and that’s why the tomb Ren woke up in was unmarked, so we will be shocked for when the big reveal occurs.

@Garanseho Yeah but that also could be canonically after the remaining Hermits come over. It would be unfair to any hermits who decide they want to join in to not be allowed because of an arbitrary reason.
As a DM of D&D when a player misses a few sessions, the best thing to do is just introduce them back in right away unless there's some compelling reasons.

Edit Watching: I feel like Sausages real god is Pearl because Sausage has been worshiping her since Afterlife, also Bdubs cant be a god lol he literary joined empires found Gem then said "Can I Be THe God Of This Religion?" And is going against his own religon hes the god of... Also Joel found a horse on an amour stand, so made a son called Hermes assuming Sausage put it up there... PEARL IS THE ONLY GOD!!!!

Well it seems that from Joel's Temples of other Gods, Him and Pearl are in the same Religion.
But what if Gem is a Primordial Being?
What if Gem actually Gave "Birth" to them. Not literally, kind of like How the Titans were created by Gaia the Mother/Grandmother of all Greek Gods.
Except Aphrodite since she was "Born" from sea form and Kronus Blood when he was chopped up by the other gods he ate.

Princess Gem’s religion also clashes with part of Princess Katherine’s life, with all the sleeping, Her majesty of Glimmer Grove cannot carry out her monster hunting, and certainly not with the battle buddies. I’m sensing a teeny bit of conflict with them soon. I think Impulse in Gem’s latest episode hinted towards that.

There's also the two falses, which like neither the hermit nor empires one seems to be fully good because hermit false made electrostatic tower to observe and says the other one is dangerous etc. but empires false has amnesia'd possibly many people, and theres also yk, the fact there are multi dimensional falses'
And also Ren's episode waking up in the abandoned tomb of ancient kings alongside a grave of Sausage (although that was only today)
and yea, most characters on empires are very interesting. I like the idea of a coming religious war though - the hermits being entirely economically self sufficient also would allow it because both sides could get what they lack from the hermits and not be economically reliant for some goods on their enemies, so yk. And the hermits have intentionally made themselves distinct from the rest so could easily be a neutral faction as a whole - although their chaos loving nature probably can't let that be the case lmao.
Oh and also the other one I remembered from scrolling through comments a bit - Lizzy, don't know too much of the lore there but i think she's technically not human and is in fact wearing some sort of mask. Also Fwip's law lore cave with the jimmy toys is buried directly beneath one of her towns' houses next to the bed as demonstrated by grian, unsure if that means anything or just coincidence but considering how many places Fwip could've dug it out idk.

This all might hold water except, Rendog published his first video of his entry into Empires. Ren came thru as the rift was collapsing. Also we have not heard anything from Doc, is he setting an Empires version of his Goat Empire and if so where?

Maybe in Gems religion they worship the sun because of its power, and not because they love it. It’s like worshiping out of fear, and following its orders because it’s a necarsary thing to do after you pledge yourself to the religion. The sunglasses are to protect the followers from being taken by the suns wrath, not to be mind controlled or hypnotised by the suns power.
in my theory Gem and Bdubs are both the villan,gem might just be the one serving Bdubs as he is the god i suppose,but gem might be doing something as she might actually be the one worpishing the moon as the fact she wears sunglasses is cause she can't stand the sun alot but she is doing it to convince all the players just to betray them at the end and that also might be the reason why she doesnt really like saint pearl (just a theory)

Gem is a monarch butterfly or at least part monarch butterfly. Her hair is the same colour as a monarch butterfly’s wings and they are called MONARCH butterfly’s and gem is a princess

While perhaps not the main villain of the SMP (at the moment), I think Grian would have a hand in bringing about conflict, if not just simple chaos. For one, he has a reputation for starting at least one war in every season of Hermitcraft he's been in, including the one that he debuted in. Even when he was actively trying to avoid starting a resistance against King Ren, he inevitably got dragged into helping both sides of the war that inevitably resulted in Ren's defeat. On top of that, he's commonly referred to as a gremlin or "THE Gremlin" of Hermitcraft for the sheer number of shenanigans and pranks that he pulls on his fellow server members.
With that in mind, he seems to be the ringleader of Hermitopia on the Empires SMP, or is at least the most vocal when it comes to gathering all the Hermits under one flag. Unlike the Empires, which all specialize in at least a few goods to encourage trade between the various nations, the Hermits completely ignore this rule and have gone to extensive lengths to make as many farms as the server can handle. On top of this, Grian has made numerous references to crashing the economy of the Empires SMP - something that he has regularly tried to do in virtually all the Life series he's appeared in, as well as a few of the Hermitcraft series' he's played on. He's teamed up with GoodtimeswithScar numerous times to try and get a monopoly on cows, sand, dark oak, and even sugar cane during the various Life series and has been one of the founding members of at least two mega corporations during his time on Hermitcraft. He clearly desires power in some form and he seems to be trying to accomplish this in Empires by basically being able to produce anything any of the other Empires could want and (likely) offering it at competitive prices; this could potentially force the other empires to collapse under the economic stress, leaving the Hermits - and more importantly, Grian - in control of the server's resources.
Now, I don't think Grian is aiming to be the main villain of the series, perhaps more like that reoccurring character that you know instantly spells trouble whenever they pop up somewhere. But he could certainly end up collaborating or even being manipulated with some of the other potential villains of the series with so many resources and wealth at his disposal.
But hey, that's just a theory, a *MINECRAFT* theory!
I see Grian as more of a catalyst then a true villian, but his history does make for a pretty good argument about a potential villinous arc.
Bdubs actually has quite the track record in his native dimension, setting himself up as the right-hand man to both Mayor Scar _and_ King Ren, along with proposing the two of them for the roles in the first place. And considering the in-story timing of it all, the Rift opening _almost immediately after_ the dethroning of King Ren... I wouldn't put it past Bubbles to have realized his number was about to be up in the Crastle, and setting events up in the background (maybe priming Grumbot with some specific queries about the Rift to trick Grian into opening it) so as soon as the Renpire fell, a portal to a new universe ripe for the takeovering would open, where the locals had no knowledge of the history of the shortest Hermit.
Maybe this is also why False (Hermit FS) is trying to leave clues to Fractured (Empires FS) about the danger, without being able to go up and tell herself because of that pesky Blinovich Limitation Effect that would destroy both worlds if they touched. False knows the other Empires rulers wouldn't believe her about Bdubs, but they _might_ believe it if Fractured told them...
Some really good theories! I'd not considered False trying to leave cluses to Fractured False (love that name to differentiate them)... I'd been pegging Fractured False as the probable villian sense False feels the need to protect the Hermits and keep an eye on Fractured False. But when Bdubs and then Ren showed up.... Plot twist?! Lol

Bdouble has twice been the man behind the throne. Once for Scar as Mayor and then for King Ren. He is clearly done operating in the shadows and has declared himself a god stepping into the light as it were.

I think that the real “problem” on the empires smp is not going to be a “someone” like in season 1-I think it’s going to be a “something”. What you may ask? A war between the hermits and empires-which is why there played count matches. But what would they fight about? *stonks*. They hermits are trying to sell e v e r y t h I n g. We have already seen, thanks to gem, that they are selling bee related items. And she complains about this, but it’s brushed off in the video. I think it’s safe to assume a small civil war will break out between all of them, with the empires trying to bankrupt the hermits, then fighting, then the hermits being tricked or banished back into hermit craft.

I like to think Gem is more of a Listener, as she is engaging. So is Pix.
The Watchers don’t engage as much, and less often be upfront and honest when requested

Another Suspect: Princess Katherine
So we know that Katherine is kind of cursed and so is her land, after watching prismarina's theories about Katherine, I think she will be the villain for this season, So she kills monsters at night and restores her kingdom at day, so at some point she is gonna get stressed because the villagers think shes cursed, so she will feel guilty, she will also somehow feel pressured because her parents want her to be perfect, and since she is cursed along with her land, I believe that she is a descendant of Xornoth because he was also cursed in season 1 of Empires Smp, So while she is worrying about the future of her kingdom and feeling pressured by her tasks, she loses control and eventually will become REAAALLLLL angry at some point so then comes Xornoth bribing her to join forces with him, she eventually accepts and becomes evil, she will then have the power tht whatever or whoever she touches will get cursed or turn to stone or wither away whatever is her liking. And she will eventually curse some of the Hermitcraft and Empires players, And I think the hero for this problem is suprisingly be, Lizzie and Jimmy, the seablings from season 1!. They expected Joel to be the hero but Katherine cursed him despite him being 'powerful'. Soo Jimmy and Lizzie will team up Lizzie, with the help of her fellow animal friends, And Jimmy, with his weapons and uhm "sherifness" They will eventually kind of-sort of- defeat Katherine but Xornoth made sure he wasn't gonna lose a second time so, he magically appears and makes Katherine strong, then there will be STRONG earthquakes and flames and volcanic erruptions, Reminding Katherine of the day she was born. So she gets weak and cries, while Jimmy and Lizzie dont know what to do, Xornoth forced katherine to continue defeating the Empires server, But Katherine did NOT wanna lose all her friends, so she cursed Xornoth, because of the earthquakes and volcanoes it opened up a portal to the multiverse, where season 1 Katherine was leaving the Overgrown and Katherine slightly has memories of her. Then Katherine eventually helps save the members of Empires and Hermitcraft, with the help of Witch Shelby, who has been hiding this whole time, helps the Princess undo all of her curses, they all defeat Xornoth, and helping Katherine recover when she fainted during the battle, So the next day she wakes up feeling alright, feeling normal and she goes to another festival created by Grian to celebreat the defeat of Xornoth, When Kaherine arrives she feels a feeling which she ignores a few episodes later earthquakes started happening again so alll the empires and hermit rulers ran away to a hidden forest, *leaving Katherine in Glimmer Grove...* and that you could say is the final of Empires... *or not..* When Katherine realizes her friends abandend her she becomes evil and vows to make Xornoth proud, she knows the location of the hidden forest and what happens next is not to be uncovered for that is the end of season 2.

And remember in double life bdubs would intensionally make stories that someone's targeting them so they would kill each other, like what happened to cleo and pearl... Though, he failed most of the time because he was caught lying....
I personally think gem isn’t the villain, but Bdubs might be, because right after gem built the church Bdubs joined the server and declared himself god even though he just got there. He might have tricked gem into thinking he was the Sun god and might use her to take control of the empires server.

my personal theory is that its empires false. As my theory goes somehow hermitcraft false found empires false before who was evil and used a splash potion of amnesia hoping to make empires false stop being evil but it only half worked so half the time empires false is how she is shown in her empires videos and the other half of the time she is evil. Ive watched false symmetry's empires episodes and every hermitcraft episode after she came through the rift so it all adds up to me. Also I doubt mythical sausage could be evil.
Okey but one idea. U know how gem can timeplay difrent caracters right. Yeah, but dose she remember the time she was a wizzard, dose she know all about these multiverses and can go back and from in time? And what about susege, dose she know why these flashbacks happens, or is it she who dose it? If she can go switch universes her self why can’t she make others switch? And what if she remembers the things that wizard gem did. Can wizard gem return? Is she lying too sousege and the others. And what if it is she who can control the opening and closing of the portal. You know since she already can pas between the worlds. And we haven’t heard anything about that she can’t switch worlds. What if she wants to trap Al her friends in one place, make Laos and get out of there.

As much as I don't think it's bdubs I still think the theory is very cool, I had a theory about bdubs before the whole king thing ended in which I thought he was gonna manipulate ren to get what he wants, which obviously did not happen, but my reasoning for so was that in one of bdubs ruins, the castle ruins to be specfic, the book of lore that came with it stated him as "greedy king bdubs", and the banner he made to symbolize Ren was a phoenix, which commonly means "rise from the ashes" , He also dropped a anvil on rens head in which anvils are used to "mold and bend things to your liking" but that might be a bit of a stretch, I just thought it was a super cool concept so as much as I don't think bdubs is a villain, I want him to have a cool manipulative arc at some point in time cause he really did seem to set himself up for one

for Ren I believe that he went shortly after the rest but he got stuck in a sort of time dilation, some sort of slumber or disconnection of the self from the world leading for him to wake up way later in a tomb

I think it would be cool if the sheriff jimmy is actually become the villain. Like on one take him seriously and also everyone call him a toy. Also he already being bit evil, he sent assassin after Fwip. But for some reason killing people is not in the lore book so I guess he aren’t breaking the law.
I may add. As of Scar's episode posted recently, when he and jimmy go to kill Fwhip. Uh... Fwhip is kinda sus too. Especially when he goes on the deep dark waiting for scar and jimmy to kill him he mentioned "Welcome to my world" in a very ominous way. I am really torn between the 3 .

Honestly, I think SolidarityGaming is going to be the main villain due to how he is becoming quite corrupt. :)
the real villain is (could be) Grumbot prime, who seeks to throw empires into chaos.
Firstly, we know Grumbot is lying about not knowing about empires. How? Because of gem! The fact is, empires should be one of the worlds Grumbot knows about because hermitcraft already has a link in the form of gem.
Secondly, the begin button that opened the rift was most likely placed there by Grumbot. He is always watching the rift, and it is unlikely he wouldn't of told Grian if he knew someone else placed it there. Therefore he probably placed it or arranged for it to be placed. Further evidence he knew about empires
Thirdly, Grumbot instructs Grian to deliver the compasses that lead to the rift. And who does Grian bring? Impulse and Pearl, who led the resistance; Scar, who is known for chaos in the life series; and of course, himself, who has started a war in every season of hermitcraft he's been in.
Fourthly, the economy of hermitcraft is very different to empires, and if Grumbot knows about empires, he would know that 14 hermits would crash the empires economy by building mega farms for every resource, like they do.
Fifthly, this is just a fun idea so don't take it too seriously!
I actually think that we have multiple villains. In the shape of hermits.
The reason I say this with the game tag now in play I think this is going to spark chaos between the empires and test there friendship

I think bdubs is a god. The stuff you said at the beginning of bdubs’ theory connects it. Having the power to close a rift, and knowing what was on the other side of it. He could possibly just not be the god of the sun, maybe chaos? That could explain the potential war of gods, you mentioned.

I was just watching the video when something crossed my mind-
What if-
Like how Lizzie lost her memories when she was away from water, Pearl lost her memories beacuse she was away from sunflowers. And how Lizzie got her memories back after being near the water, Pearl will regain her memories as being near sunflowers . Maybe sunflowers sourunded her base beacuse some force is trying to help her get her memories back. As there were two forces. Like let's just say that there's an Empires force, what just thinks that Pearl lost her memories beacuse she wasn't near any sunflowers for a long time. And the other force is what created the rift, beacuse the force wanted the Hermits to go to the Empires server. That could also be the reason why the rift closed, after the Hermits haded over. The force didn't want them to get back. I think that one force is the calm one, trying to keep peace between the multiverses and stuff. The other force is chatoic, wants to see chaos beacuse it enjoys it. The forces aren't like gods like Pearl or Joel, no. Something much stronger. Strong enough to make a crossover between realityes.
Also as I was talking about Pearl in the beginning, I think it would be cool , as she regains her memories, she hopps between realityes from time to time, just like Sausage does. And I think it would be even cooler, if she regained memories like when she told sausage that the temple looked good from Empires S2.
Also her looks- it's probably beacuse the chatoic force changed her to fit in with the empires Saint Pearl, to confuse the other force to cause even more chaos. Like when we could see Garry and Snort (or sniff i can't remember) in Grians episode, but Garry wasn't standing anymore, and Snort looked different. I think it's beacuse the chatoic force wanted them to fit in. But this time it wasn't to cause more chaos, this time it was to not cause any questions in the Hermits's head, beacuse it was scared that they will focus on that mistery instead of the mistery of the rift, and that it would need to wait much longer until the hermits cross over.

Pearl is a sunflower goddess and a goddess of the harvest so it makes more sense she would be associated with both the sun and moon. Or it could make more sense she's a fertility earth goddess which fits really well with the sunflower and harvest aspects. Idk how true it is but I believe I once heard she based her S1 character on Demeter which fits with this interpretation.
I think it will be gem, if you make a part two can you add this theory?
When hermit Gem heard her voice through the rift, this could have linked them! Sharing Mind, and memories. What if grumbot is trying to add a counter part for him, through gem? This would explain the changes in Gem’s personality.

Love the style of this episode but one question was this just a fun detective theme or a small nod and dedication to the recent passing of Kevin Conroy R.I.P 😭😓 also I like the Bdubs theory because usually Bdubs uses his powers of manipulation to convince others to be essentially his puppets to rule over servers and if people didn't like them then or rebelled against them then they took the fall and not Bdubs but perhaps he's trying a new tactic through manipulating others into thinking he is a deity amassing a large amount of followers and then having them and his enemies fight and destroy each other leaving only him to rule? love the videos you are Amazing😊👍

Throughout this whole video I keep getting more theory’s and our possible villains didn’t stand out to me what did was when heads were lined up on the table and at the end with Lizzie I think grain or lizzy have something else going on behind
