Have you stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge?
Yes, other than the long halls, it's the best hotel at WDW. They put us in an "obstructed view" overlooking the savannah (standard rate, very kind of the desk staff). The african art throughout makes it a museum. The restaurants, the pools at Jambo and Kidani, the lobby, the room vibe & grounds ❤. The buses were fine. The gift shop was surprisingly under stocked during our trip.

No. I won't pay those prices. I have visited the resorts on non-park days and often combined Braves/ballgame and exploration days.
We are staying here in December. First time back in 15 years. We are staying at POP century, Animal Kingdom Lodge with Savannah view and then Wilderness Lodge. I wanted to be close to each park. We will be there for almost 3 weeks. I’m so excited.
I'm impressed that they took a hallway and a couple of box-shaped rooms and turned them into an inviting, warm space that feels like a place to relax in.
Love AKL... but Kidani is my home resort and so I love it more. No matter, the entire Animal Kingdom complex is awesome. Thank you for the tour.
Excited for my stay here this weekend. The new WL rooms disappointed me compared to how they were for the last 20 years. Looks like AKL rooms haven't lost that charm!!! SO excited
I stayed in AKL during Hurricane Jeanne in 2004. Arrived not realizing the storm did a loop and was heading straight for us. The staff did an amazing job keeping everyone entertained, and you wouldn’t know there was a hurricane if it weren’t for the random buckets in the common area dealing with roof leaks, or the outside areas being cordoned off.
LOVE AKL! They usually put us up there for most FL projects which is the best.
I wish they put the lamp with the built in table on the other side of the chair. I think it would make the room flow better.
I still have a couple bags of the 50th blend I brought home as a souvenir back in February lol. Was gonna make Cold Brew with it but I agree, Tom it wasn't the best blend.

Last summer I considered AKL but I'm not a fan of how dark those rooms seem. Every other refurbished resort I've stayed at is nice and bright. Not as themed as I'd l8ke but there's something about being bright that helps get you up in the morning.

Glad there is still nice theming for the most part. That double nightstand with the lamp in front of a mirror is a little weird. Sigh. Disney theming isn’t what it used to be.
Disney is awesome. Go Disney. Disney has awesome staff food and drinks, awesome rides items to buy so on. Go Disney all around. I think Disney will have a awesome 2023 season this summer so on. Go Disney company t9 all Disney parks in Florida California Paris tokoy hong Kong china so on. 💙💙💙😎😎😎
I don't know about H20+ products going away. I certainly hope they partner with Bath& Body Works for an exclusive scent not available anywhere else. That would be amazing

I’d like to know your thoughts on the new DVC villas coming to DL! I think they look as you would say. “sterile “ I’m disappointed and the prices are outrageous!

I visited AKL, never stayed there & I do agree AKL is a very beautiful resort but I am bias towards WL (Wilderness Lodge)
I do have a problem with AKL, Animal Kingdom is not my favorite park & AKL is A bit far from the other areas of WDW

What are the lower hangers for?
Are rooms cheaper or more expensive during storms? (I’m pretty sure they would have to be cheaper or the same rate but you never know lol)

Why is Animal Kingdom your favorite of all Disney Hotels? I would think with regard to the relative proximity to most of the parks that it would be inconvenient and difficult to travel to and from in a short amount of time.
The WDW property isn’t at the size for that to matter unless you want to walk to a park. We’re talking at most a 3-4 minute difference.
@@WDWNT Completely agree, the bus trips are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be.
Never had trouble with the bus transports. Really not an issue.
