  • Erica Anderson, a forensic scientist with Michigan State Police who specializes in DNA analysis, testifies on Thursday, June 27 at the trial of Samantha Woll's alleged killer. Michael Jackson-Bolanos is standing trial for murder and other charges in June in connection with the Oct. 21, 2023, stabbing of Woll at her Detroit home.

      I felt that way whenever I first started watching trials. The more you watch the better you will understand. I don't understand everything she is saying but I can follow it now and determine the probability of whose DNA was found/not found.
      It's super interesting.

    Can they make it any harder to understand??? Say yes or no, make it simple!!!!

      Unfortunately it's not that easy. They can't say with 100% certainty. That's why they say the "insert number (centillion)" times more likely...and so on". Science is very fascinating. All you have to listen for are words like "far more likely or moderate" words like those make it easier to understand what they're saying. Hope any of that helps lol
      Her hypothesis are easy when look at it like this. Hypothesis 1 is the victim or defendant depending on who they're speaking on and another person and the 2nd hypothesis is 2 random people not including the victim or defendant, again whoever they are doing the testing on.
