I've got the drivE 2.0, 5cylinder, 2010 and I am very satisfied. Especially in long journeys. The car doesn't feel so powerful (163hp) but it is also pretty heavy. However it has enough torque and it is very stable. My XC60 has also electric operated backdoor and adaptive cruise control despite of being 2010 model.
Thanks to your vid on the 2018 XC60, I picked one up last day of Feb. I have a T6 inscription with all options except the massaging seats because they weren't available at the time I just dropped it off for my first service with 9300 miles. I absolutely love the car and have only had a few issue. A couple rattles (passenger seat belt lock & interior door handles on rough pavement). The internet never really worked and proximity sensors we're hyper active..both issues are known and they're updating with new software. I have a loaner XC90 T8 with a few upgrades. I have to say, I prefer my XC60..they are not even close for me. I immediately missed my head up display and autonomous driving. My seats are much more comfortable, especially in the second row...lots of complaints from the back seat. Aside from the rattles, I'm completely spoiled in my XC60. I only wish the center sliding cover would stay put in high accelerations..seems to be fairly common with me. Also, I wish they could tighten up on the delay from accerator pedal down to moveing..even with the stop/start and on the highway, the delay is just a little too long. Once it kicks in, it's like a rocket.
I also like the 5 cilinder diesels very much. 160.000 km's is nothing for these engines. A few months ago I drove a V70 D5 with 325.000 km's and it drove like a new car. A shame that Volvo doesn't produce these engines anymore.
Yes my V70 is the D5 2.4 5 Cyl, and it does sound very sporty between 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm !! many people have commented on the sounds this 5 pot engine makes !! almost V8 like with that warbling sound ! Mine has been re-mapped from 163 bhp up to 197 bhp, this makes quite a difference in performance, but I understand this engine had various states of tune, I believe the highest production output was around 230 bhp, so this version would make a big difference in this car ! You should try out the Mk2 version ! much better design and performance !!
Very ill-informed - he treats 2010 as though it were the stone age. Look through any online sales forum and you'll see XC60s with bluetooth, power-operated tailgates, heated memory seats, rear parking cameras, front and rear parking sensors, sat nav, auto-braking, rear booster seats etc. Anybody thinking of buying one of these should ignore this so-called review. Not sure what makes him think he's qualified to advise others - maybe his mum tells him that he's good?
Yeah but it's an optional extra the power tail gate other then that memory seats heated seats and other features are all standard their a well equipped car.
@@m4cdemos obviously the review wasn't great but what I'm saying is not every car has a reversing camera and sat navigation in the 2010 spec nor the power tailgate as it's a teknik pack upgrade for those features back then overall still has the Bluetooth qnd what not and it's a great car i have a t6 one myself.
I disagree about it being dated. Mine is a 2011 D5 with 205bhp and the interior easily as good, if not better than most new cars that I've been in, it's just typically Volvo, always different!
I have a 2010 xc60 I got in nov 2009 I love my car this is my 9th Volvo. Only have 63000 miles. You opinion is generally ……sounds very negative, it’s a great car smooth quite driving, comfortable I did a lot of driving this year. Up to Washington down to Southern California, then to Nevada, then to Sacramento. Great miles, you saying modern Volvo calling it OLD. Don’t quit your day job you comments are awful. I can’t watch you anymore!
I am considering buying one soon i know cars well. This was a very good review.

Having been notified that there was a reply to my comment, I re-watched this to see whether I'd been harsh on the reviewer - I hadn't

Chris...what version brings parking camera, foglamps, sunroof and boosters in backseats?

Nice Video Kris :). I own a D4 AWD 17‘ GT with 190hp. Very smooth and nice 5 cylinder sound.
Great video. Could you testdrive/review the V60 D6 Plugin Hybrid/Twin Engine? And compare it with your XC90T8?
