  • The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party #NDPP #Tseminyu Region organised a felicitation programme for ULB Elected Councillors at Town Hall in Tseminyu on July 10.
    Creating history, the recently created Tseminyu district of the Rengma Nagas of Nagaland saw an emerging change.
    Five women have been elected to the Tseminyu Town Council (TTC) in the recent ULB Election 2024.
    #Ruth Thong and #Sole Tep have been unanimously elected as the chairperson and deputy chairperson respectively of the TTC. Ruth Thong assured to work sincerely and diligently for development of Tseminyu town with transparency and justice for all.
    She requested all the people to extend cooperation and support to TTC . She said the TTC will first focus on improving the drainage system in Tseminyu Town.
    Deputy chairperson Sole Tep thanked men folk for giving opportunity to women to serve and work for the community.
    Former minister R. Khing expressed happiness over the women's team, who will be leading the TTC, describing it as history in the making.
    A short speech was delivered by Kvulo Lorin, Chairman NIDC and Director Tetso College and John Wanth, Convenor Election committee also spoke at the felicitation programme.
    The programme was chaired by Benjamin Lorin while the welcome address was delivered by Daniel Tep, president NDPP Tseminyu Region. A vote of thanks was proposed by Khwenhile Tep.
