@GruntyStudios yeah and have you seen the cooling req diffrence beetween now and 10-15 years ago ?. higher clock speed can mean higher heat...
@Mastermind12358 ...Exactly. If Intel and AMD (and VIA, Sun, and IBM, I suppose) kept upping clock speeds instead of Core numbers, we would be using 200+W processors, and still not have nearly the same amount of performance.

I'm glad we moved away from higher clock speeds, I would much rather have a Hexa Core CPU than an 8GHz+ CPU.
