As a Level 5 OT student, this was really cool to watch! I start my virtual placement on Monday which I'm a bit nervous but mostly excited for! Keep up the good work!
Hi Caroline! I love your day in the life of OT student vlog! I am a NICU RN who want to switch to NICU OT! Just wondering, was it difficult getting into USC? What was your GRE? And is the high tuition worth it? 😂Thank you!
Aww that's so cool that you want to switch into OT! When I was applying, I emailed the admissions office to ask for the previous year's admitted GRE and GPA average just to get a sense of the range and where I stood. So you can always do that! Also, yes, I believe the tuition is worth it, especially because we're the top OT program! I didn't hesitate choosing USC because it was my dream program, and taking out loans was going to be a given. However there are also many scholarships given out, and work study positions to help finance your education! It is a lot of money, and definitely an investment, but for me it was worth it! Good luck with the transition to OT! So excited for you : )
I remember when looking into OT schools of interest, before I got into OT school, I talked with all of the places of interest. USC was very responsive and answered all of my questions so they are an awesome source!
Hi! Is anyone here knowledgeable regarding Canada’s accreditation for OT students from another country?? Im from the Philippines and I’m planning ti take BS in OT and my family is looking into moving to Canada soon. Im wondering, if ever I finished the course in the Philippines do I need to take extra courses to be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Canada or my degree in the Philippines would suffice so I can get an OT job in Canada.
in a totaly anxiety wondering if OT is right for me, i found your video and it just brought a smile to my face!
There are so many options and volunteering or asking others will help you! It’s so great you are exploring!!
