Him and my great grandfather was good friends during the war. He wrote to our family for years after the war. What a great man.
A Cheater & FAKE infidel.
Lol
He was born in 1920, not 1930.
A youtube made by people who had never heard of the subject until the day he died. Who would have imagined such a thing!
He could have been my grandfather🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can't believe they got his year of birth wrong.
It’s CNN what do you expect
Rooney was born in 1920, not 1930. The wrong year just kept staring back at me.
right
#fakenews #cnnsucks #FUCKFAKENEWS
always fake news
FUCK CNN
he was 93, the date on the banner should be 1920 - 2014.
Mickey would have been 100 if he was still alive. What a legend. RIP
Mickey Rooney played Fugly Floom in Babe pig in the city one of the movies that I know every line and sound effect to and one of the live action talking animal movies. Why wouldn’t they mention in the video that he was the actor who played Fugly Floom in Babe pig in the city?
For me personally, he was my favorite actor. The Andy Hardy series as well as Boys Town and Huckleberry Finn are my favorites. They sure don't make them like they used to. RIP
i grew up watching Mickey as a kid and enjoy his movies very much will miss him , RIP pal!
Good bye Mickey, I won't forget you!
:(
A great in the acting world,
To bad people didn't have enough respect to show a little more about his career on CNN. Sure he loved his wife Jan but she doesn't belong on his star.
Unless that's what he wanted.
And she aggravates him so much. Even leaning on him in the car he couldn't even breath.
And would never shut up.
But I suppose he loved her.
R.I.P. Mickey Rooney. You were a wonderful actor.
Sweet dreams, old guy- I knew so many of your friends- Lillian Sidney, Jackie Cooper, Annie Miller, Robert Stack- and I produced the 2001 TCM bio of Lana Turner. You are the toughest man in the history of Hollywood!
I know one of his daughters. She's adorable and bubbly
Here to pay my respects to one of the greatest entertainers to ever live. RIP Mr. Rooney you sure had an amazing life!
RIP MICKEY ROONEY~!
Rest in Peace Mickey!
1920-2014....holy shit that's a long time and a lot to see of the world. Mickey deserves an award for living that long.
wont seem so old when you hit 80
Rest in Peace, a genuine legend who has left a huge mark in the history of cinema. This little guy helped keep the morale up over 60 years ago, at a time when it was so needed. We will always have the films to watch, and to remember a great talent. I would like to imagine him now "putting on a show", with colleagues of the golden age of Hollywood, who he was reunited with yesterday. Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, Judy Garland, & Freddie Bartholomew would be welcoming him.
This guy!! The stories he could have told!! I would talk to him him all day !! Mr. Rooney, I'm sorry you had to go through this. RIP. You are sorely missed.
One of the all time funniest movies, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, his scene with Buddy Hackett in the airplane was great, best line was Mickey wanted Buddy to fly the plane and listen to the radio for instructions, and Buddy's come back: "What are you, the hostess?".
1920-2014 and not 1930-2014
What a legend we lost Mickey Rooney
Loved those "let's put on a show" movies Rooney and Judy Garland did.
I loved this guy and his energy and passion for life and his art right to the end; he was the quintessential old skool showbusiness before it became cynical. Watching repeats of him & Judy in the Andy Hardy movies is one of my childhood treasures. Legend is an over-used term these days, but Mickey most certainly was and always will be.
i miss mickey rooney😖😖😖😅😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖.
Mickey Rooney. One of the most gifted movie actors I've ever seen. His screen performances has always touched my heart....

Rest in peace, mickey! We love u and all your hard work, and will continue to love u for generations!!! Had such a wonderful soul.....Rest in piece Mickey Rooney :)
His death is truly the end of an era of cinema. Mickey Rooney has been in movies since the 30's. He was the ambassador of the 20th century. This is the end of an era...Rest In Peace. You don't have to suffer anymore.
I'm seeing 2 different number 1920 and 1930 which one is it? I assumed he's 93 so is 1920. Rip though.
I'm sad we no longer have you with us, Mickey Rooney. You may have been a little over the top with your performances, but that's what made us like you so much. I'm just glad you and Judy Garland can be together once again.
wow he had 8 wives what a player
Farewell my friend
We will never forget you mickey and you will always will be my pal And I will always watch your role in boys town and breakfast at tiffany's and ouick sand and baby face When I heard that you died mickey I was very sad and angry
What a great man & actor,
Mickey Rooney.
RIP 🎶🎶⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌈🎼🎥🎞📽💐💐💐
Rooney was born in an era in which the type of acting that he was to be recognized with was accepted by all Americans. He was a genius and will remain a legend. I am surprised that more Oscars were not part of his collection of trophies as a one of a kind entertainer.

Rip Mickey Rooney you are never forgotten you will always be remembered as andy hardy and Judy garlands side kick I hope you and Judy garland are singing and dancing together in heaven once again rip Mickey Rooney
Legendary actor
What I loved about this video is when Mickey says (paraphrasing) that today's Hollywood should learn to love itself and to pay tribute to those before who are the REAL actors who opened the way for today's "actors" ... rare is a movie with actors who genuinely have the passion for such craft.. today.. Hollywood tries to make $$$ with showing excessive amounts of skin and leaving nothing to the imagination.. storylines have become bland and little inspiration is given... Rooney was a real talent.. and in the best time of Hollywood... He will be missed!!!!!
TALENTED BEYOND WORDS !
This is how it feels looking at a TRUE legend - not the made up pretenders of today.

I'd like to think Mickey's up there with Judy, great star when star's were really that!!!!

let's not forget his role in 1963's "It's a mad mad mad mad world."
Being dead sucks.
How do you know?
Augalv I just do.
Splenda4ever
no you don't. Because only a real dead individual would reply of a response like:
Johnny Black
Johnny Black I know being dead sucks because nobody wants to die.
I'm going to die tonight and meet Mickey and come back again
R. I. P MICKEY ROONEY 😞 YOU ARE NOW WITH JUDY GARLAND 😢
R I p OG
when legends die
1920 he was born
Un gran ser, un gran hombre, un gran artista...siempre le recordaré.
I see Mark Wharlberg or Leonardo as resemblance to make a movie about Mickey. Rest Easy Mickey Rooney.
Can’t believe he was married to Ava Gardner
For the 'stone casters' calling Mickey a sinner...are the rest of us viewers to believe you are without sin? Why troll videos to spew hate...did you learn that in your church?
Where on Mt. Rushmore are they going to put Mickey?
I don't quite recall which movie when Mickey was younger it featured a little white open wheel modified "Indy" looking race car. I found it in a museum of all types of things across the road from the Clearwater, Minn. Union 76 truck stop (the big orange ball) 🤠 👀💬Yup❕ G~G.
(Mickey Rooney) 1920- 2014
It's a shame he wasn't in the Wizard of Oz; he was gorgeous, and the Munchkins would have made him feel tall!
Maybe this Giant Munchkin would have been the Murderer behind the Dead Munchkin.
1 year before Christopher Lee and Patrick Macnee died at 93
I hearded about mickey rooney on paradise pd
Tomorrow will be 2 years ago since he died
RIP

1920 not 1930 💜🎬🎥🌈
Mickey, I hope that Judy was there to take you by the hand and guide you over the "Yellow Brick Road" to the Pearly Gates. You will be missed.
He was a believer in Jesus Christ.
20alphabet I didn't know that ,so may God receive him in His Paradise .
So what?
He was born in 1920, not 1930. He was 93.
It’s crazy that they didn’t make the kind of money they deserved. Some stars did but those like him and Judy garland didn’t. I wonder if they got gross pay from their movies.
My favorite movie Mickey star in Was Santa Claus coming to town.
I’m I the only one who remembers him from fox and the hound.
what is 0:20 from?
It was 1920-2014, not 1930.
Wow, didn't know Mickey Rooney was born in 1930. That was a killer year for movie superstar birthdates. Eastwood, Connery, McQueen, Hackman, Rooney...etc/sarcasm.
he's born in 1920 (si esta mal escrito es porque soy latina y tengo once años) i love old movies except Judy Garland and i love Shirley Temple and Alice Faye
RIP. The Black Stallion was a perfect fit with National Velvet.. It was natural for his appeal to shine on and off screen I never watched a single Andy Hardy movie..LOL
1920-2014
MR was 83, not 93.
No, he was 93.
Born: September 23, 1920
Died: April 6, 2014 (aged 93)
SheldonCooperJT on the news clip it says 1930. But 1920 makes sense if he was in movies in the early 1930's
***** - yes, at 1:00 they show it wrong, but they got it right at 2:16 ... kind of sloppy of CNN.
Marty Robinson
Agreed, but it was still a better report than the idiots at ABC gave, who could seemingly not care any less. The male reporter even referred to him as "Andy Rooney" at the end of the report. How disappointingly handled that was.

He was 93. He was born September 23, 1920.
Mickey Rooney was born 1920 not 1930
I love how he managed to marry women taller than him,RIP.
His birth year was actually 1920 not 1930. Error!
Mickey and Judy were the first teenagers, They were the first teenage superstars, Before Michael Jackson, the Beatles, or even Elvis Mickey Rooney was the image everybody thought of when they heard the word teenager. He was the teenage image in the minds of the creators of Archie Andrews and Jimmy Olsen right down to the bow ties. Dead? No he's as immortal as Puck and Tom Sawyer. He just got too big for his body.
Truthfully, he annoyed the hell out of me. I'll bet he'll hop out of his casket at the funeral, just to piss me off. RIP
It's 1920-2014.
Not a bad actor ☺
Were just tiny specs of the size of mickey rooney

He was born in 1920
I remember watching Mickey on T.V., he was with Robert Wagner and they were talking about Marilyn Monroe. Robert was a gentleman, but Mickey was a rude, grumpy asshole. I never wanted to see him after that.
He was insane

I like CNN!! Everywhere the news say he was 93 years old!! This channel is very known in France for its stupidities, this is an another example!!!
Now there’s a career that was all hype, because he didn’t know how to act at all.😂
First of all, so called "Mickey Rooney" wasn't his real name. There was nothing wrong with his actual birth name, Joseph Yule, Jr. Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Studio or Business Manager, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? In reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not earn) a greater buck?! The ONLY reason a name change should be done, is for a woman when she gets married. If a woman gets married and DOESN'T change her name, then she doesn't accept the sanctity of marriage or respect for her husband.
Over rated
He was born in 1920, not 1930.
