finally someone builds a SINGLE air unit and kills serral's floating spies. honestly it's probably his most underrated advantage that nobody ever deals with. he can deal with any attack cuz he always sees it coming, but look what happens when you kill his spies - he gets taken to the woodshed by adepts he never saw coming.
Sry to say that but thats not serrals lvl what he was playing 2-3 years before.. maybe he got bored of winning ore minmaxing every move. Still the best .. but every gamer has his peak and then start to chill ^^
Sometimes I feel like Hero and Dark are kind of like the Bizzaro World version of MaxPax and Serral. Serral and MaxPax are these two very straight-laced, normal, good players of their race. Meanwhile, there's Dark and Hero, who are just these two, goofy gremlins who like to just make shit up as they go.
Lot's of talk about buffs to protoss and such but to me it's the maps, look at them, they are prime protoss ones. Easy to take a 3rd, narrow paths, and such, all most beneficial to protoss and most nefast for zerg.
47:38 I think MaxPax stays if he has ANY semblance of an economy. At that point, almost no probes, not even a single Nexus was built elsewhere and had no income or bank. It would be a very slow death animation, as you'd say. If anything, I think Serral wins here by killing buildings forcing the recall, at which point MaxPax would have met a much bigger army on return. He'd have to long distance mine through hydras and lurkers just to build a pylon
Ive noticed max pax is way to passive against serral even when his match up is better, he sits at his base and allow serral to destroy his base over and over again. He stalls for so long, he allows serral time to get a huge bank and create a unit comp that directly counters his own.
i think that's his biggest weakness. when he's aggressive he wins; when he sits back serral just slowly overwhelms him. game four he had his army just wandering around the middle of the map neither attacking or defending, then attacked when it became way too late.
I must contest the red card, all the probes were essentially being hunted down and stranded from a nexus to turn minerals into while Serral was still mining.

Ghosts finally nerfed and they randomly give protoss exclusive permanent energy, like wtf? whats the point? we have ultra strong flying early harass unit with full energy on spawn that can clean creep alone and slaughter everything but queens(175 minerals btw), permanent everlasting storms, and invulnerable sky limit that was made even more invulnerable. like 80% of online tournaments are just protoss, half of the gm on all servers are protoss, but the biggest tournaments was recently won by better players that happen to play zerg so we continue to buff protoss? The absolute clown charade.

The current balance is disgusting. If a prostos can go 5 minutes without mining and come close to winning against a mining Serral, something is seriously wrong. Imagine what the meta looks like at lower levels where players don't have the same micro and multitasking skills. Playing a zerg right now is like banging your head against a brick wall.
In the last game MaxPax killed 30 drones and stopped Serral from mining for a long time but Serral was back to equal workers and army supply within 30 seconds. Zerg economy and production is OP as fuck, the only way for T and P to win is to constantly harass them and stop them from expanding.
i do think ZvP is more balanced now, with the mother ship changes at least protoss has an decent advantage late game i never liked that the race with the best economy had the best late game as well so zerg could play defensive all game long and then crush late game, at least now come late game it feels like P has a chance i would say they are favored even i do think ghosts on TvZ are a little much, though without then late game TvZ ends up zerg favored so idk how they can balance ghosts
@@Dunendil This is another issue, Serral had to take shortcuts and couldn't develop tech quickly. It affected him in the lategame and he lost the game. Zerg with similar economy has no chance of winning against other races, that's the current balance.
Zerg lacks universal air units. Mutas are very easy to counter and fragile, corruptors can only attack air. Other races can produce air units much more freely without worrying about producing a few too many and running out of units to fight ground units. With zerg, a mistake of a few too many corruptors can cost you the game. That's fu**ed up.

This guy is a monster but he still lacks experience (especially in using air units, where he often makes absurd mistakes), for example I find it incredible that every time he has storms and can use them to knock down the bases of the Zerg on duty he often doesn't do it. He seems afraid to engage, and in a situation like the third game it's incredible. He had the game in his pocket and a series of units that Serral could never have destroyed and he threw away the point.

Different from herO, that makes me crazy, majority of his games and engagements he just throws his units without any care. Zealots go far not covered by other units.
They managed to nerf Zerg so hard, that even the GOAT which is the best late game player in the history of the game can't win if he is at equal footing with his non-Zerg opponent... Hopefully MaxPax will win the finals, because the only thing that disgusts me more than the pathetic state that Zerg is in currently, is how broken Terran is and going without massive nerfs for years.

Storm needs to get nerfed. While Protoss players have no problem landing damage with every storm, corrosive bile is completely useless.
