    Please, stop whining guys. They are doing the skating, not you guys. As for Bloemen, he had been skating very well in finishing a close 2nd to Kramer in the first three long distance races of the season. Building up for the Olympics maybe. I hope so. What a duel it should be.

    You need a Dutchman (Bloemen) to defeat another Dutchman (Kramer). But the best Dutchman and worldchampion at this moment is another Dutchman Roest.

  • @hollandmeester347
    @hollandmeester347 6 лет назад +2

    Yeahhhh he is Dutch right? From the 10th place on the skatingcalendar to the 5th place. What if he had competed in the 500 and 1500 meters too in Salt Lake City and had a PR in both distances? He could be number 2 meaby even 1.

    • @hollandmeester347
      @hollandmeester347 6 лет назад +1

      doedelzak He is now no 5. The distance between him and no 4 Harvard Bokko is only 0.18 of a full point on the calendar. Where is your math? The average time for a non-sprinter on the 500 meters is 36-37 seconds right? He doesnt need to improve a full second on the 500M....... Wild quess right? The distance between him and no 3 Chad Hedrick is only 0.552 full point and between him and no 2 Sven Kramer is only 0.882 of a full point on the calendarscale. He was at that time in Salt Lake City, right? World fastest ice, right? With a new PR on the 500M and 1500M he could easily become 4th, 3th, 2nd...............

    • @hollandmeester347
      @hollandmeester347 6 лет назад

      doedelzak Heeey silly person. We were talking about the skatingcalender, right? We were talking about the position on that skatingcalendar, right?? Dont start talking about something else, like who has the worldrecord currently. If we were talking about CARS, dont start talking about BRIDGES and call me an idiot. And now piss off with your stupid comments brrrrrrrrrrrr

    • @hollandmeester347
      @hollandmeester347 6 лет назад

      doedelzak We were talking about the position on the skatingcalendar, right? And how to improve that, right? We were NOT talking about who has the worldrecord, right? Stick to the fucking subject. Bloemens PR on the 500M is 36.87 and is SEVEN YEARS OLD. Bloemen is not a sprinter. But I only said IF IF IF IF he had a new PR on the 500M and 1500M, he only needs to improve himself 0.18 of a full point to become no 4.
      36.870 is 500 meters, right? 0.180 of a full point is nothing for a SEVEN YEARS old record on worlds fastest ice. Dont change the fucking subject. Dont start talking about Kramers worldrecord. We were talking about Bloemen and how he could improve himself on the skatingcalender. Dont start talking about PLAINS when I was talking about TRAINS. NOW FUCK OFF ....

    Looking at the last rounds he did not even skate to his maximum. This should have been the first below 6.00. Now he could do it but he is getting old, Roest seems to be a prime candidate to do so. Lunde Pedersen is also somewhat of a contender. Kramer is getting old too. If I was him I would focus on the 5 and 10 k to set those records if he feel she is still capable. 2 years ago he skated 12.38 at low level on the 10 K. Just shy of the WR in Salt Lake or Calgary. If he can reach that shape again and go to Cal/SL that is surely enough to go under 12.35 and may be 12.33.

      After Bloemen beat the 10,000 meters world record last year, he got injured in a team event. He did not regain his form last year. Please inform yourself first before saying anything or at least present the facts instead of emitting an irrational opinion. In fact, he has been the main competition for Kramer this season and should be at the Olympics. If you are suggesting that Bloemen is using drugs or as an electric motor in his skates or whatever, would he be the only one doing it? Like Lance Amstrong in cycling. It is believed that most of them use drugs. Anyway, they are all great athletes. But physical performance is overvalued in this world. It's just physical movement. Let,s enjoy it for the beauty of it. Pretty superficial in a sense. For me, it's the closeness of the competition when you have two athletes or teams that are pretty much equal that is truly special. It's what everyone feels inside that is important. The winning is secondary.

      What I meant about doping and a deal with a question mark, is just what I mean. What I mean is that we might never know or the truth comes out later. Like in football (soccer) a lot of players came out years later that even world championships where solt, also with corrupt referee's. That's why real madrid and barcelona where in many finals the past years. Also a match with Arjen Robben, he just laught when Ronaldo scored a goal while he was way offside. Robben just laught and didn't even try to do something about it, because he knew. This could also be a honest run from Bloemen. I just think its a bid odd, when for instance I set a record against a friend for let's say ten years, he is not even close, and then out of the blue he beats my record with 5 seconds faster.

      Fair enough. I would like to point out that without knowing Bloemen's detailed results I see that in 2006, he finished 5th at the world's junior championship. In the following years, he had up and down results as a professional and an amateur in the Netherlands. For example, he finished 4th in the dutch all-around championships in 2010 which he followed with a disappointing season in 2011. In 2012, he came back to win the national championship as an amateur, the first it had been done. So, out of the blue, maybe not. Also, speedskaters have limited opportunities to break world record: you need to skate in Calgary or Salt Lake City to break world records and Sven Kramer sometimes skips these meets preferring to stay in Europe. For example, he wasn't competing when Bloemen broke the 5000 meters record in December. Hope this is enlightning to you. I would like to believe they are on a level playing field.

    This record will be very hard to break. I'm putting my money on Denis Yuskov to be the first skater to go under 6.00 one day.

    • @bard6184
      @bard6184 6 лет назад +2

      Yuskov? No way.

    • @newsbuster292
      @newsbuster292 6 лет назад +1

      Why not? 1500 to 5000 is not that big of a leap. And on the 1500 he's more a stamina type of rider than he is a sprinter. It's not going to happen anytime soon but in two or three years it might be possible.

    • @bard6184
      @bard6184 6 лет назад +4

      Well, it's not impossible, he possesses the world record in the 3k as well as the 1500, but I just can't see a skater fast enough to do 1.06 on the 1k also being able to beat the 5k WR. I don't think it's possible to be that complete a speedskater - even for Denis Yuskov.
      I think he'll be able to be close, though; likely 6.05.

    • @sjaakdewinter6258
      @sjaakdewinter6258 6 лет назад +1

      Why? His (Yuskov) best time ever was 6.11.79.
      There are plenty of skaters who can do that.
      You loose your money for nothing dude.
