I really want to thank you for this video
I have two of the Soundcraft 22 board
I'm using two different computers with them
One computer is running to Akai software
The others running machine software
You just cleared up a lot of things about that board
Thanks again have a blessed day
That’s got to be a serious set up I would love to have two of these mixers I really appreciate you for watching and thanks for your kind words made my day thanks again
Thank you so much for the info. I just ordered me one off reverb and it’ll be here Friday. Gonna use it directly with my Maschine + and it’s 16 usb outs. And I can wait to remix things from Ableton sessions.
Be careful with the usb
that keyless minilogue in the back tho! dooope
Thank You 💯 I can’t find the video that I made a video of me cutting it in half in the whole process was pretty fun I’m just glad it still works
I will definitely be sampling this one for my next expansion pack
Greetings mi brother, I appreciate the knowledge you have acquired, and thanks for sharing.
I always whatch your videos, I’m new to the mpc and have a lot to learn.
The thing is music is a creation that you create with that vibes and inspiration.
I’m Errol from London, England.
I’m thinking about to get the Tascam 12, it’s had some good reviews.
I hope I can come to you for your knowledge, I am trying to learn who to play the drums and snares, I know it has a pattern to play a beat.
The main thing is after watching your videos, you always say have fun when creating and learning.
Give thanks mi Brother
Hey thank You 🙏 and tascam makes excellent mixers and are compatible 💯 with the Mpc.
If you ever need anything let me know. I really appreciate you watching and thank you again. Have a great rest of the day 🎶
It would be great if you showed us a flow chart on your extensive routing. It would be much, much easier to follow. Thank-you.
I can definitely make a video on that ASAP 💯
We have simular methods.. I run all my boards through my Tascam 2488mk2 which then drops into my MPC ONE which connects to the Tascam DP24sd. This solution solves audio input deficiencies. It also sped up my work flow.
It’s crazy and there’s a few different ways to use it but that sounds legit sometimes I just use the mixer with my MPC and feed the audio back into the MPC from the mixer it allows me to tweak everything and send it back in as a print tracker I definitely appreciate you watching
Finding the perfect set up for your workflow can be challenging but once you got it dialed in it’s 💯
you should have control room and go that way with your main output, this way u free up groups 1 and 2 ;)
Sweet HUGE mixer, wish I had the space.
Yussir I love it however… they make smaller ones that are the same and I believe any usb mixer will do now with the update 💯
Hey man. Might grab this for mpc 1. Question can i run the sounds through analog compression somehow amd also can it record to a memory card if not. How are you recording the lroject. If theres already a video. Link it thanks alot man
I'm going have to get that mixer now
It’s just cool to spend so much time tweaking one sound at a time are usually make stuff really fast but when you slow it down as one it is really fun bro I always appreciate you for watching
Once again mpc yoda dropped the jewels
Your awesome man thank you 💯 🎶
i just completed a same workflow for a smaller setup with the yamaha mg12xu. i had the mackie profx12 and the allen heath zed12. the yamaha won over the others for various reasons. thanks popo for sharing the less talked about parts of the workflow. ~_~
I really really love this mixer the effects that it brings stock are really nice too I might do one more video going over those effects that are built-in but other than that it’s just a nice workhorse
I appreciate you watching and for your support 🎶💯
@@PoliPopo for sure... with all the mod gear and guitars you have... the 22 looks perfect. keep it up!
@@doublezigzag why did yamah win can you explain?
Looking for the same workflow...going to run everything into the Force. Tring to decide on a mixer.
I know zoom make some pretty nice stuff 💯
Great breakdown brother. I got a behringer 1002 xynex Fx and i have out grown this. Need a big board to plug all the synths into. Are you still using this soundcraft mixer is it the mtk mutitrack? Just subbed. 🍻
I'm fond of the Behringer XR18. I hear it has s9me good pres
Looks like fun for sure 💯 🎶
Yo popo can you clear something up for me with this mixer .
Say I have a analog synth plugged into one of the channel’s can I send an fx plugin from the mpc to the same channel as the synth ?
Hi! Great vid! I bought this a few years ago, but now I have the issue with the master fader:
only at -30db sound comes trough, only left monitor
then it gets louder till you are at +0 / +5db. right monitor comes a bit through but is much quieter that left monitor.
When the fader is all up (+10db), the sound comes through in left and right monitor on an equal level.
You have any idea what is the issue with my master fader?
Excellent video. Thanks. Soundcraft has a twelve track mixing console that also provides send and return via usb also, correct?
Yussir
What’s up good sir! I’ve been watching your videos this past week and just wanted to say that I appreciate all the work you’ve put in to make these for us. I found your channel while researching the MPC X as I’m looking to move away from the computer for music production. This video in particular has helped me understand further of how I want to build my setup. Also, I can tell that your spirit is truly in this and that’s major to me. You’ve got yourself a new subscriber bro, keep doing ya thing man.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
You made my day with this comment 💯 thank you so much🎶
Yessir!!!
I'm struggling to record back to my mpc I got all my sounds from channel one to channel 10 then set input on master to 23 24 but getting no signal when I go to record? Had it working find on another project but now it won't don't get it
Think I'm not sending all channels to master properly possibly
This is savage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bro please more info on how you get your print tracks using groups 1-2 and 3-4. Do you sum them on the board and then seperate them into drums/bass on group 1-2 and other instruments on 3-4? Or Dry 1-2 FX 3-4? Also what channels are groups 1-4 on the mpc 32 channel list?
Wdup bro what output shouod i go out of to record back in to inputs of back of mpc and what channel ahould i select on the mpc recorder to hear the audio is only issue im having not shure how to record back in to mpc atm can i record back via usb i got plugged in to my pc coz im using mpc in controller mode so can use 3rd party plugins like sp950 ans rx 950
Inputs 1&2 press audio track on the main screen and make sure the record button the screen is armed and says auto
You cannot overdub so record from the beginning of the sequence. I hope this helps
@@PoliPopo legend bro thanks apressiate It had mad fun messing with it am heaps happy with it so far n that's just through USB I ain't gotta connect any cables from soundcraft to inputs on mpc ?
Have you tried the Tascam 24 or 12? If so, which one do you thing is the best combo with the MPC X? Also, do you have all the drums running through one channel in the mixer or do you separate them individually per track? Thanks!
Hey man, thank you for all the work you put into your channel, I’ve been unwell for over a year now and I’ve been occupying my time with your channel so much appreciated. I have a question I’ve just purchased the mtk 22 on yours and Matt Stratton advice. I’m going to be using it with my mpc live and I also have an analog heat which I want to add into the chain. As you are a bit of an expert can you advise the routing for me please be most grateful. As always keep up the excellent work peace ✌️
Most definitely and Matt is a cool dude 💯
I Plug the audio main left and right outs into my MTK mixer and then the USB from the MPC into your computer also the USB from your MTK into your computer your use the Akai MPC to control the software but will use the MTK for audio I’ll definitely make a video on this as soon as I can
@@PoliPopo thank you 🙏 for the reply. Do you also know how I would add the analog heat so I can use it on the mtk so it stays in the master chain ? Would I have to add it as an aux then route it to a channel strip. Sorry for all the questions
@@sylegg I would go midi out of the Mpc into the heat.
Audio out of the heat into the Mtk.
I plug everything in my mtk
And if your using the software go to file, edit, preferences, audio, and select mtk .
The MPC will be your controller but the MTK will be the audio interface.
@@PoliPopo thank you again one last question you say you would go midi out of the mpc into the heat then audio out of the heat into the Mtk ? Can I ask why you wouldn’t go audio out the mpc into the heat ? What would be the benefit of of using midi on the heat ?
@@sylegg you can use the Mpc to control the heat and keeps everything in time
Love your vids keep up the good work, why is the audio on this so bad?
The struggle is real 😆
But I hope to get better every day 💯
witch synth/keyboard/piano would you recommend pairing with mpcx? I'm looking at Thomann DP-95 or Thomann SP-5600 ?
Thanks.
Playing pads next vid ...I can't wait
I will definitely look into yamaha or a phantom F8 I love Yamaha pianos and synthesizers I had a Yamaha That allowed multi track recording and I can control each check with my MPC but those are some really nice boards and if I had to take the DP would probably be the way to go
@@PoliPopo Thank You I am going to check them out right now :)
Thank you, that was a cool vid.!!! :)
Awesome thank You 🙏
Hey Poli I found a deal on a Mackie SR24•4-VLZ PRO mixer, its in pristine condition amd going for £200, do you think its worth investing in?
Looks awesome and no usb either
I think it would be awesome and it sure does not hurt to try 💯
@@PoliPopo Thanks for replying, your opinion is highly rated 👊🏾 hopefully nobody buys it before me
@@PoliPopo I lost out on the bid for rhe Mackie but got hold of a BEHRINGER EURODESK MX 3282A 32-Channel 8-Bus Mixing Console Board Studio Audio, I'm hoping it gets your seal of approval🤦🏾♂️ I paid £160 for it and it looks in pristine condition, plus no usb but can you give me your opinion
Example is like the mackie 1640i type of thing but in usb
my brother would this be ok for mpc one
Yussir Absolutely
Brother i Just want to use my software to send sound in the mixer and i Just mix my loops and lay down a track does this mixer have a soundcard built inside in order to be able to send sound from laptop to individual channels?
Yes this has a usb return on each channel. There's a button at the top of each strip to activate
Is it possible to have live audio running into your DAW via usb, add plug-ins and then return it to the channel strip, all in real time? Essentialy having it function as a usb insert? (I know this would introduce some latency, but I am mainly recording synths and sequencers so its fine)
Actually yes 💯 this mixer has 2aets of group outs and usb return
So audio in 1234
usb out into mixer5678
1-8 group out to 1&2 then from 1&2 out into 9 for print track
@@PoliPopo You can use the same channel, In the daw select for example channel 1 as input, and output to channel 1 as well, then press usb return, the audio sould now go in through the line in from your synth, into the daw, then back to the same channel on the mixer, where you can then use the fader and eq
@ did you find out? if not on this model, do you happen to know on other multitrack recording usb mixers, the tascam model as an example ?
What are you saying??
The UI24R is better
Definitely some real advantages to it. If you don’t care about real sliders and knobs then yes, for sure. This here mtk is pretty kick ass tho 💪🏾 just got one this morning 🙌🏾
@@kennykeys Nice. Bet it is a nice piece of gear. Soundcrafts sound pretty good, all of them. Enjoy it man... Thanks :)
