Great question. The issue is it freezes in the line before the separator. Does this answer your question?
Why is necessary to pull the tank to drain the water if there is a water seperater?
That is the only way to make sure you get ALL the water out. We have tried it both ways and this is the only way to MAKE SURE! Thanks for the great questions!
