    Really disappointed in these comments....
As a survivor of assault and abandonment myself, I can truly say this story is heartwarming, uplifting, and positive. Maybe you don’t understand that if you’ve lived a fairytale life. But to the victims of sexual assault, this IS a positive story of hope and unity.

Hope they continue to thrive without the interference of the “men” who don’t qualify for the term, as a real man has no need to think that he has a special appendage for use as a tool of punishment.

It's hard to know what a good "man" is when there aren't many examples.
We need everyone. Doesn't matter the gender. To be kind to one another, and lift up each other. No human group anywhere has found that balance yet. But I hope we do one day soon.

For Africa, they chose to show the worst. Shame on you CBS. They are many african nations with amazing maternity benefits... why not cover that?

I am Kenyan born and raised there for 23 years of my life. Life in Kenya will never compare to life in the west. Stop portraying the worst in our country. There is more to Kenya than you all want to imagine. You want to tell me there are no single mothers here in America probably a quarter of them working more than two jobs to make ends meet? Because they have dead beat fathers? Contact me to show you more about Kenya. But using negativity to gain more views simply isn't right. Do better!!!!

It's not about single motherhood. It's about viewing life, be it male or female as worthy of existing. Many women in this village ran from villages where a man could take a woman's life with ZERO CONSEQUENCES KNOWING THE KEYAN GOVERNMENT WILL DO NOTHING.

it's a sanctuary for women. If they want to get pregnant, then they leave the village and get a boyfriend. Sort of like leaving your house to go to your boyfriend's house. Except he's not allowed in your home. It's not a tough concept to grasp. It's for their own safety.
