JR has a lot to say but every big club manager has a transfer veto right. every club is looking for the next MBappe and JR keeps the fans busy with proposing a 95K capacity tax payers funded Stadium. ..words.
I think ten hag definitely deserves a clean slate under this new structure, the names available to replace him don't inspire confidence do they. Be a coach ETH
The new working & decision structure will be similar to Ajax. No problem at all for ETH.

ETH with a fully functioning background team will work. Young players, attacking football and buying affordable players and developing them will be key. How quickly until we have the players who will consistently win us the big prizes?

I'm with you Tony, ETH wanted final say cos he didn't trust who the club would bring in , he worked under a DOF and sporting director at ajax..I think he will be relieved.. and definitely deserves to start next season even if we don't get champions league.. Martinez and shaw have been the difference this year... huge miss, 9 extra points and we are right up there.. so I'm definitely ETH in
Ten Haag in the man to take us forward... Players make style of play an he hasn't got the right players... Yet... Klopp had 1 player left in his squad Jordan Henderson from wen he started till wen they won the league... Next season is huge for ten Haag...
The only question mark so far that ten hah has signed in my opinion is Antony. Everyone else he’s signed has strengthened the squad. Yes malacia and mount have been injured all season but we could see what potential malacia has last year and we already know mount can hold his own in the prem. Casemiro was pure best player last year and Erickson has pure quality and can change a game with his vision as last week proves against Liverpool. Hujland is the real deal. Loan signings shouldn’t be judge as purchases

I think ETH deserves another season. There's not really a lot out there to replace him anyway or is there?
My fear is that Sir Jim will try to focus on English players and might bring in Southgate to bring the best out of Rashford, Sancho, Maguire, even Mount, Shaw, Mainoo etc. Might even use Southgate to lure Kane from Bayern. I hope it's not the case because I have no faith in Southgate or some of those players who have been given multiple chances here over the years.

how would southgate bring the best out of rashford,sancho,maguire etc.. if he cant even do it in national team? that being said, southgate have any credentials as manager apart from that he have failed big time in every job he have been. i truly hope this ratcliffes "english core" dream is over soon or we are doomed.

I don't think Pep picks new players or has control over recruitment at all. They have a structure that brings players in that fit how City plays (boring tik tak, falling down to fish for fouls, etc) and Pep coaches them

Erik ten Hag will have us in the top 2 by 2025. I'm confident of it. Garnacho will be unstoppable next season and Mainoo will be unreal in our midfield. Højlund will score 20+ so we need to find him a partner to replicate those figures until Højlund develops into the best striker in Europe (another big claim). Martinez avoiding injury is vital to our team and as we all know, he too needs a quality partner.
Rashford, Martial, Maguire, and Sancho need to go and replaced with players of the calibre befitting of Manchester United, which includes both attitude and capability.
De Ligt would be my ideal signing and maybe PSG will offload Gonçalo Ramos for a decent price, maybe even a swap for Rashford.

@@Draper99 I must be wrong, if you have said so, forgive me. We will see about Højlund and Garnacho, well we will, as you have already envisaged, even forseen, next season. De ligt is right footed and prefers to play on the right side of central defence, it isn't unsubstantiated for this very reason. We need a right-footed Centre Half to partner Martinez and I personally feel that De Ligt has all the necessary attributes to significantly improve our team.

EtH must commit to having MUFC play in the style we played against Liverpool in the FA Cup and at OT last season...
We must 'win the ball back' high up the field and play with the midfield anchor of Mainoo with Casemiro or McTominay etc. and employ Rashford, Antony and Garnacho supporting Rasmus upfront in a concerted unit...
We can not afford to sit back and wait for counter-attacks but start to make things happen higher up the pitch and especially against the smaller clubs we need to dominate and not wait for crumbs off the table...

The model you are talking about is the same model that Real Madrid have utilised for many years. There, a manager may suggest a player that he feels he needs. But the final say on this is made by the club, not by the manager. And no one can argue that it doesn't work when you take into account their Champions League trophies as well as the number of times that they have won La Liga.
Hopefully it's true EtH will stay at Man Utd for next season and given time to develop new young side going forward without expensive show pony signings ....
Where does the confidence come from ? for a geezer who has lost 11 games, Finished bottom of our Champions League, Got played off the park at Old Trafford by bang average teams and only Sheffield Utd have a worst record than us for shots against.

The Three Stooges' - Let's puts things in prospective with the last six managers, Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Solskjaer, Randnick & Ten Hag:
Moyes - Out of his depth, West Ham suits him,
Van Gaal - should have won the League with squad he had but instead he decided to send everybody to sleep until he got 5th place so the board had to act.
Mourinho - even though he was successful that was the worst football we've seen at Man Utd post Fergie that went Toxic so the board had to act so No More Defensive Coaches.
Rangnick - Soon as he came should have went straight upstairs as DOF & assisted Ole otherwise Out of his depth.
Solakjaer - has been the best Manager since Ferguson so we need to appreciate his contributions to our present state of affairs, managing recruits & a sense of direction back to the Man Utd way.
Ten Hag - Officially knocked out of the champions league over 13 weeks ago is a sackable offences so EtH knows his chances of staying already & has been the worst Manager at Man Utd for 60 years, we've experienced since SMB. This manager is purposely going out of his way to mess up everything that we stand for so he definitely doesn't deserve to Stay, Win, Draw or Lose on Saturday or Sunday. Get Rid ASAP!
So bring back Ole cos he wanted us to enjoy our football again so we're glad for that & we want want more Vibes football with his new Management team to gain the necessary chance of success!
Agree. I don't see someone like Pep or Klopp being told how he will play and ETH would never accept.. I do agree the media are troublemakers and it's clear that the coach and the sporting organisation, work together as a team ie. a team decision on most things.. Media always put the negative.

i hope we focus on building a fit, competent team with ETH at the helm. We will not get CL, may get FA cup this year but if we stop running around like a headless chicken then next year will be different. No one should get COMPLETE control- work in a collaborative manner and take the club forward.

No player will come in without ETH his consent. It will be done in a cooperative manner. This is how a professional clubs works. Before MUFC had no experienced executives in the seat. Now it seems they are repairing this. ETH worked under this structure also at Ajax. Van Der Sar and Overmars were the executives. ETH the coach. Remember ETH is still in hot demand. Bayern Munich, Ajax and more are eyeing him.

I agree lads, the shuffle in upper management will obviously change the way things have gone in the past, but at the end of the day, the manager has to work with new players, so he will have more of a say than the media are letting on.

I think Ten Hag deserves a clean slate. When he's backed in the summer transfer and has a proper structure behind the scenes to support him, he can then be assessed.
I don't know why the fuss about Ten Hag being sacked or not is so loud and high in the media.
Pochetino hasn't really pulled Trees at Chelsea. They are at mid table in the League YET the media is not calling him out ! Why's the media making loud noises around and about Ten Hag?
This same section of the media were making up stories about leaks in United's Dressing room which was affecting the harmony within the Club. United and Ten Hag decided to ban some Journalists from attending Ten Hag's Press Conferences before games. Looks like these Journalists are on a revenge mission. It's just so unfair in my personal opinion.🙄

The press a bunch of waste men who thrive off controversy and drama. If you think about it, this is the perfect situation for ETH. He basically was under the same structure at Ajax so he’s comfortable with it. He thrived in it. INEOS, will be the perfect structure for him and he’s going to be the perfect coach for structure simple that’s why I’m confident he’ll stay.

I agree with Ten Hag being happy about having a real team behind him to ease the pressure and let him get on with coaching the players. Also 3 years is 6 transfer windows, 2 or 3 per window and that's a whole different team. I don't see why we can't start challenging in the 3rd season. But patience my United friends, this isn't really season 1 yet

Based on the evidence so far and in the absence of any discernible style, he’s managed to create the leakiest defence in the league with one of the worst goal scoring records.

Are you serious, the cards delt this season are unheard of, no consistent back 4, players playing out of position, players who should of left the club having to fill in. Players not in form and not trying at times. It's a miracle that we are in the position we are, I know we should of won more games, but I fully back ETH, we don't want to get into a situation where we change managers every two seasons, for them to start another rebuild. We have to give ETH time.
