Pulse is actually my go-to weapon. As long as you're not afraid of a little melee, it stays good for quite a few levels without upgrades. Perfect to get Void Slice ASAP.
A build that I've been loving recently and haven't seen in your videos is the Swordbreaker build! It's a Sword + Hullbreaker + Amp build, focused on Essence Sap, Propulsive munitions, Phantom Strike + Bravado (100% crash damage mitigation) negative rate of fire, energized + flash shields, outrage module, etc. Essentially, be as fast as possible, use Amp, make the swords swing slow but as often as possible, wiping the whole screen with ease. I'd love to see you try it, since it's one of the most fun builds I've played in a LONG time, and doesn't need a Research body to set up.
Working on weight management is a super powerful battle, and you both deserve encouragement. Speaking of keto, I have a build idea that WILL get me publicly boiled (in six days) just for mentioning it! I call it "snake eater", where you're a leviathan that uses vortex to pull enemies into you. You could use things like Orbital and phanom tax to make it funkier... I'd say that sounds like a good build for a 30 minute video.
I got an early phantom strike with a similar build, and would then charge & crash into larger enemies. Didn't get far, but moving in for a slow love-tap, before 1-shotting Glaucus was kinda fun.
James, if Lee's gonna Shatner all over, first put down a tarp or pet-pad. Then DON'T Rocketman, that for Lee. It's the perfect opportunity for you to trips out Nimoy's Bilbo Baggins!
