- Learn how to create a beautiful interior room render using Redshift and Greyscalegorilla tools in Cinema 4D. Learn more about Greyscalegorilla Plus - bit.ly/2Zas8Gb
In this Cinema 4D Tutorial, learn how to set up this realistic room scene using Redshift, Cinema 4D, and Greyscalegorilla Plus Materials, Lights, and Models. Use basic shapes to build the room, and then use realistic materials and Gobo lighting to bring the 3D room to life. Show off your product, furniture or even use it with mograph to place your animation in a realistic space.
While we use Greyscalegorilla tools, there’s a ton to learn here. If you are not a Plus member, you can substitute with your own 3D assets in your work.

Hi, there's so much good stuff in GSG, that it makes it look like cheating !
Thanks! But it's not cheating. Just like using 3D software instead of creating it with stop motion isn't cheating. The goal is to give you high quality assets that are useful in speeding up your work and helping you create beautiful renders for your clients. Thanks for being a customer!
May the universe in all its infinite expanse forever carry the waves of profound gratitude I am feeling towards this video and your channel today.
🙏 Thank you for watching!
Nice trick with putting a gobo light into a null, thanks!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
@@Greyscalegorilla I wonder why you didn't use HDRI link for a gobo light?
It totally works. I guess for this one, I knew what Gobo I was going to use. I use HDRI Link if I am demoing a bunch of Gobos.
Good round up and nice demo of GSG assets
Thanks, Matt!
20:35 "Adanmq" is for Adán Martín 😉 He is a spanish guy, very generous like you, who have taught us so much in all these years.
Hello ! Looks awesome . What GPU are you using ? Thanks
Hi, you can see our current machine build here. greyscalegorilla.com/choosing-puget-a-system-built-for-3d/
@@Greyscalegorilla thank you ! Btw Great job
Nice tutorial... One question though...
Why does your Modern Industrial 002 HDRI look suspiciously like a hotel room ? =P
This nice nick, it will be nice you show us how to light a proper room with windows etc.. using redshift, thank you in advance
Good idea! Thanks for the comment!
Dome light alternative for Octane? How to add fill light (like Dome light) on top of HDRI, like you did in Redshift?
Thank you, Nick, 😊 Appreciate it a lot 😍
You bet. Thanks for watching!
More lighting videos for Octane + C4D please!
Yes! Look for more Octane videos in the near future.
What is the difference between adjusting the exposure of a light versus the intensity? I would assume intensity but I've noticed in a few GSG videos that the exposure is the go to for adjusting the brightness of a light.
Both of them will work. I prefer exposure when working with light.
He bro i have rtx 4070ti gpu
when i open Octane/Redshift render in C4d it's showing this error "There is no Cuda Device which is selected"
Is there a way to prevent the gobo from being so distorted/angled? Sunlght streaming through a window doesn't hit then walls like that - especially when all the angles are 90 degrees. I really like the plant and caustic gobos, but the window ones always look off.
a great man!
Nick please teach it in vray too..
Nice work teacher
How is an open shoe box an interior? For lighting an interior you need much more details than this. Would be lovely to see a real setup and how to get rid of the noise. Also a version without GSG Assets - the slow down rendering so much. Thank you for all your nice work.
Hello,
Is it possible to assign an octane light pass ID to a light kit softbox?
Hello, I have a question. After the subscription expires, is the material library still available?
Thanks for the question! Your license to use these materials is tied to your ongoing membership. If you leave the membership, you loose the right to use the plugins or any 3D assets.
How do you set a "dome light" in octane? Is it just to use hdri and set the value to white and then lower the power to fit the scene or? I never used redshift but it seems that you can use multiple HRDIs and in octane you can only use one (As primary and other as visible, but can you stack more primary HDRIs because it seems that you can easily do that in redshift, or am I missing something?). Am I wrong? 🙂
Yes just a HDRI will get you there
Any fix for this? In Octane you can have only one HDRI, so you can't use second one to add fill light
Hi Nick are you using RS more often than octane in your personal works ?
I switch between both. Been learning more about Redshift lately. But I still love using octane and RNDR.
have you guys abandonded octane then ?
More RS !!!
Will do! Stay tuned!
those are some big planks on that floor
Good catch! Yeah. I ended up scaling them down a bit for the final render.
Yey! first to comment!!!! what do i win?😂😂😂
You get a Thumbs up, a Heart and a "Nice Work" from me. Buuuut. that's about it. :)
GSG Content : 99 % redshift , 1% octane . why ? :((
We have a bunch of Octane Videos. Here is a playlist to get you started. Look for more coming soon. ruclips.net/p/PL_KyR3yGDJFvsiEaguHVtHpADj4xFkfWf
Octane is useless for productions. Too many bugs and crashing Cinema4D.
@@bieberbruder1i disagree. Redshift is more buggy and is soooo slow compared to octane
No love for octane? kidding thanks for all the stuff you guys provide
Look for more Octane videos soon. What would you like us to tackle first?
@@Greyscalegorilla Would love to see more Octane videos as well :) Realistic interior design / animations with octane would be nice. Thanks for all the content! :)
If only it was possible to do this with corona renderer
Lets get back to Octane.
We have some more Octane Videos coming soon. What would you like us to tackle?
Where is "I am the gorilla" ;)
Here ya go. Just for you! ruclips.net/video/QqILr1OvQBI/видео.html
It’s not really interior lighting tutorial though is it…
