It is a shame Randall Hylton died so young. Few people realize the number of songs he wrote (including this one). If this song could be done better than this, I couldn't stand it. Talk about putting feeling in a song!!! I have the old album by the Bluegrass Cardinals and it is great, but I believe this surpasses it.
You are so very right Ronnie. You just get a hunger to hear things "done right" sometimes and The Cardinals is who I think of every time and I hear it in my head and I just get that lonesome feeling all over again.
