    Testimony:I am a lazy guy who doesn't like to going to church I have been struggling with sin lust since at age of 10years recently I started to wear the miracalus medal and Benedictine medal and I started to have this feeling Mary pulling me back to church
    First I had a good confession then I started to recite the entire rosary and then started to receive eucharistic at state of grace and now I have been free from sin of lust since past 1month

      the FSSP priests will and SSPX too, especially if you are there at Epiphany and candlemas, bring all your sacramentals for the year to be blessed and he'll go through them. Mine will gather together all the benedict medals and say those blessings, then for the scapular and crucifix itself. Priests that don't do that as Fr. Ripperger said are lazy or have lost the belief.

      I was trying to find a priest that would bless my sacramentals in the old rite. I spoke to two priests from different churches and they both told me that "a blessing is a blessing." So I'm left looking for another priest that will do it in the old rite.

      Gold nugget:
      Not all Catholic Churches are created equal. There are a lot of Catholics realizing that their church has been lacking in many key areas of teaching the true faith, especially spiritual warfare. Father Ripperger is becoming the GO-TO for many misled sheep. It is extremely important to keep looking until you find the right Catholic Church, with good, Holy Catholic priests, and the support of a congregation that WANTS to learn sand grow in their faith, and most importantly LIVE their faith. If you’re not being spiritually fed, do not give up, get geared up for the hunt. Pray the Rosary (which is actually you asking her to intercede for you in prayer; to take your prayers to Jesus. Who better to intercede for you than His blessed Mother?). Our Blessed Mother will move mightily in your life to lead you to her Son, Jesus Christ. You will find the right church. Stay in prayer, bless yourself, your family, and your home. Read the Bible at least 15 minutes a day. And as always: Get plenty rest, drink plenty water, get at least 15 minutes of sunshine every day, smile, laugh, get your vitamins and minerals, practice good hygiene (showers are amazing for the soul too), and remember your priorities. Eliminate distractions(phone, TV, iPad, video games).

    I really enjoyed the point about Jesus creating a sacramental when He made mud to heal the blind man. He didn't need to do that, because He could have just commanded him to see, the way He commanded Lazarus to come out of the tomb. But Christ did it for us, to teach us.

    Only 15 minutes into the video and already I've learned: the difference between sacraments and sacramentals (clearly explained, for the first time ever!). the priest, before communion, gives those of us properly disposed forgiveness of venial sins, and bells and other appurtenances at the mass are sacramentals (thanks be to God, my parish has always had bells rung by male altar servers at the consecration!)

    if you get the candles blessed on Candlemas, you can use them year round during thunder storms. Light them during the storm and it's uncanny, the lightning will still flash but the thunder which had been right overhead shaking the house will dissipate and go off a distance. I get HUGE thunder storms here and I light the candle and open the front window and put it on the windowsill and say now, go away, it works every time.

    Ever since I listened to one of your earlier lectures on sacramentals I began wearing a Benedict medal crucifix with a miraculous medal on the chain, and I also wear a rosary bracelet. I wear them everyday. I understand sacramentals are not talismans, but I'm not so sure how much they've been helping me. They haven't kept me from sinning even when wearing them, but I definitely haven't had demonic attacks. Is there something I can do to have the sacramentals help me more? I should find a traditional priest who will do the proper blessings too

      +Josh Patterson … I'm the same as you, wearing my sacramentals including a Miraculous Medal, Crucifix and Rosary Bracelets. I'm naked and vulnerable without them - I call them the Armour of God and I definitely do not regard them as talismans or charms but reminders of God's and Our Lady's Holy Presence. They might help you resist temptation (hence their purpose of being reminders, as I said before) but, after examination of conscience and aware of the sins we committed, then we go to Confession. When I have to go to hospital, I have to take my gold chains and medals off BUT I insist they leave me with my rosary bracelet. Also, where I live, there have been terrorist attacks (IRA and Daesh) and random stabbings (plus, I am chronically ill and an autistic). Therefore, it is not an option to go anywhere without blessed sacramentals. Look up the history and information about each sacramental and draw as much help as you need from their purpose and a traditional priest would be in a better position to help you than priests who are less than educated or enthusiastic about these things.
      For years, I've known women to have little statues, small rosaries or tiny bottles of Holy Water (or Lourdes Water) in their handbags/purses. Men would have holy pictures/medals in their billfolds or wallets. In these times, it makes perfect sense. God bless. Peace and All Good.

    • @johnp556
      @johnp556 5 лет назад +1

      you need the proper blessings on items. All items have to be blessed. Marie Julie Jahenny stressed that for example if you had a wood crucifix which you then added a new corpus to, the new corpus HAS to be blessed. It's very important, things have to be done correctly, period.

    • @anneschofield9726
      @anneschofield9726 5 лет назад +3

      The best weapon against temptation is to go to Confession often. Got to close all the doors to the enemy. Then, you receive the Graces and wear a sacramental. It is as if you slammed the door on the attacker who of course you do not see with your eyes. We are battleing not flesh and blood, but evil spirits.

    Thank you so much for the great video! I was wondering where I can read about the different Scapulars? I know about the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Carmel but in the video Fr. Ripperger mentioned many I have never heard about.

    Does Anyone Know How to Bless the Purple Scapulars, especially If There is No Latin Vatican I Priest Available? I Would Appreciate Any Information One Has, Available to Them!! GOD Bless!! 🙏 💒 🙏 Our Lady of Fatima Pray for Us.

      I bought authentic purple scapulars from a Catholic website and they came already blessed but I will probably get a priest in my own parish to do it too. I’m not aware of any specific type of blessing which has to be done.

    Unfortunately sometimes Rosaries are cursed, you need to get those blessed if you aren't sure. I had ordered a Rosary from a popular catholic website and some of them coming out of Vatican city are cursed.

    God bless you Fr. Ripperger! I have one question, can a priest of Byzantine Catholic rite use Roman Catholic books for blessings, and does the language in which he blessed the objects matter? For ex. if I am Slovak would it be a problem if priest blessed it in Latin, English, or Church Slovanic? Thank you and God bless!

    • @petercarlson811

      Do you honestly think it might be of importance to god which language is used for prayers?

    • @rockarawatkins1153
      @rockarawatkins1153 4 года назад +1

      Yes. The language is important! Latin is the language of the Church. Latin words are more exact and doesnt have as many multiple meanungs to the same word as English. A blessing may be done in any vernacular, however, its best to have the prayers said in Latin as Father recommends

    With the sincerest of intentions, may I ask, if a sacramental tattooed onto one’s skin would it convey the same effect of having the actual object, say the scapular or the medallion? I pray to be enlightened. Thank you.

    I just need some clarification..Father Ripperger said at the 10:00 time mark that we can annoint the entrances to our homes..does this means without doing the sign of the cross with exorcized oil since we layman dont have the authority a priest does to make the sign of the cross over objects??

    The priest at my church did a general blessing over my sacramentals. I had St Benedict medals and Miraculous medals along with the green scapulars, a St Benedict crucifix and a couple crucifixes, and now, i am just learning that some of these these require different blessings? The priest knew what I had, he looked at them all specifically and said a general blessing over them from holy water straight from the font. It felt rushed and as if he didn't have the time, he then I lectured me on proper future disposal of such sacramentals which I already knew. I'm a bit disappointed as I gave some of these items out as gifts. And have many left over for future givings. What should I do?

    Does any one know if blessed insence has to be burned on coal for the proper effect? Can I use an electric burner to make the insense resin last longer? I understand that the smoke raises our prayers to heaven, but I also see scripture mention the fragrance. Does the fragrance or only the heavy smoke like with the charcoal?

    I have a question on the sin of simony, father.
    I recently visited a church outside my own parish where they had a book inviting one to write the names of people I wanted prayed for, at a "cost" of €20.
    Is that simony or is a support for the pastors of that parish?
    Just to add ..I was shocked at first but with a little googling, I discovered that the bishop has the authority to set a stipend.

      @dafender 5 лет назад +2

      In our parish we have a book like that in the Adoration chapel. You just write the names in. Never heard of charging for that. I know you usually pay a small fee to have a mass said for an intention or person
