Lovely 🌹👋🏼 from 🇨🇦. My great grandfather was born in Glamorgan *shire in those days. I inherited much from him. He came to the prairies (MB) and married a full Cree living at Sagkneeg formerly Fort Alexander (wilderness). I’m so pleased with your presentation!! Thank you.
Howdy from Texas!🇨🇱 You Wont catch anything other than beautiful woods, sweet fresh air and a healthy Welsh spirit out there! 🏴 Music was just right and the scenery really helped me relax, America has been fine, but The magic of the isles pulls at me always...
Interesting story, about the monks in history. Great walk, the history of your walk is awesome, very beautiful and historical place in Wales. Hope to see more soon. 😀
Margam Abbey is such a wonderful structure! The inside picture of it was filled with much detail. I could spend hours just walking inside and around the graveyard,as well as the churchs' interior! Great video!
Another great video and adventure Marcus. Watch these for hours on end. I'm definitely going to go and look at these places. Thankyou. Keep up the good work you do.
I used to climb over the wall (right side of the abbey) in the 70's when it was closed (before the fire), Magical to have the place to myself and sometimes with friends..76 was the summer!
You done a fair bit of walking in this video, The beauty of editing makes it look effortless , I didnt even know a Iron age encampment existed near the CHL station 😀, I can never find a good trail up from capel mair to the ridge. Great video, well edited and informative
Thanks for the comments, the walk up that hill from Capel Mair isn't that clear but there are traces of a couple of paths. Worth it when you get to the top, great views. Apparently, there are quite a few iron age sites along the ridge.
So quiet, I❤the countryside--Eerie lack of people amongst the buildings---Perhaps somewhat similar to what the author of the Saxon poem “The Ruin” saw before him....
have a look for - Kenfig Castle - Norman castle and settlement (partially buried) - it might surprise you what you can find in port talbot and you mite like to see the The Buried City of Kenfig
Went to a wedding at Margam Park and did two weeks training in the Steel works.Been by there many times but never realised the historical side that you mentioned,Great video and very interesting.

What a beautiful place Wales is :) Nice peaceful walk.
Yes it is peaceful, amazing as one of the biggest steel works in Europe is less than a mile away.
Port Talbot is a very historical place and has a lot of history to visit

It is a beautiful area despite being so close to one of the biggest steel works in Europe. When you are in the woods, you wouldn't know it was there.
Great work Marcus, love the history of your part of the world.
Thanks, it's good getting to know our local area again but looking forward to travelling.
Me too, although 99%of the people around here are oblivious to it,or just don't care.

Great vid and fair play to you you must be fit, I found the walk up to Capel mair enough for me never mind cycling from Porthcawl to get their.
Cheers, it's all OK if I keep moving, As soon as I stop my joints seize up and I end up hobbling around the house for a couple of hours.

Great video and was great meeting you last summer in porthcawl, hopefully I will be next next summer of 2021 loved porthcawl
Thanks.
Yes, roll on 2021 I think most of us will be glad to see the back of 2020.
Yeah for sure I agree, are you doing anymore videos of porthcawl ? Would love to meet you again next summer at the high tide like we did last time lol
Great video. Can I add that the stone circle is from the 1966 eisteddfod, the stones from the 1932 eisteddfod are in Baglan park.
Thanks for clarifying the correct Eisteddfod.
I think your videos are really well put together, out of curiosity, what editing software do you use ?
Hi, I started off using imovie but now use Final Cut Pro (Apple Software).
@@flydriveexplore Thanks, keep up the good work.
