Really cool jam! Would you say the OP-XY learning curve (for someone unfamiliar with the OP-Z workflow, and sequencers in general) is less steep than something like the Digitakt II? And for you personally, what makes something like the OP-XY more compelling than a Digitakt II + Digitone II combo, besides the portability? Is this more fun, more capable, more approachable? All of the above? (Sorry for the barrage of questions... you just seem like a good person to ask!)
Do you work for TE ? Or connected to them in any way. Love the tunes just thinking how a 470 subscriber channel on youtube gets a TE product early. Anyways got my sub, love it !!
@@MyNameJeff.. i think the 4track tape machine on the op1 will always be what sets it apart from everything else. This is an entirely different beast, but they are both fine instruments in the own right. They are different “experiences”.
@@robertjamesonmusic There is unofficial firmware for the OG-1 that makes visual changes such as changing the position of the tape track or changing the CWO cow to a moose lol
Love it
Best I've heard yet from this machine
Hey Mr. Flannel.
I would love to see you combine the OP-1 with the XY. I’m interested to see how the two devices play together.
Definitely want to try sequencing the OP-1 via the XY
@ That would be so cool to see!!

All of the above and yes it’s WAY easier to learn than the elektrons.

Yes I’m a beta tester, been doing testing for TE since the OG OP1
@@virtualflannel thats so awesome !!!
How did you get one so fast? Great tracks, you got my sub!
@@TriangleWaveRecords thank you! I was super lucky to beta test this for Teenage Engineering
@ that’s neat! You videos on the device are top notch
Can you record vocals into this like op-1 field. This song was f’n awesome btw.
You could sample your vocals to the samplers, but there’s not a 4 track tape recorder like the OP-1 it’s sequencer based like the OP-Z.
@ Thanks man. Bummer.

I haven't looked in the manual yet but I'm curious if TE will allow us to change some of the visuals.
How would you change the visuals? Are you going to like re-code the device or something?
@@robertjamesonmusichaha they could add more packs and swap them in options or something.
